I went downstairs at the Hodelpa and a fellow American was checking in when I asked the desk clerk where I could change some money. She mentioned I could change money there, but I expected a poor exchange rate and was looking for a local place with better rates. That is when the American chimed in and said he knew of a place. He just had to go upstairs and drop his stuff off and he would be down to show me. I killed some time on the internet (they had a fairly decent connection) until he returned.

We caught a taxi in front of the hotel and headed off to a place called Supermercado Centrado or something like that. It is located right by the Caribe Tours bus stop. I am not sure where exactly it is on Vladimir’s map, but I think the cross streets are close to Salvatore Cuccurullo and Treinta de Marzo. I don’t think the Caribe Tours on Vlad’s map is the one I am talking about, as this Caribe Tours and Supermercado Centrado are east and not west.

They had a change booth in the back but it was closed. We went up front and they had a desk setup there. The rate that day was 47 to 1. They stapled a receipt with the rate and amount to your money and then you took it to the cash register to get your change. After we both exchanged money, he asked where we should go. I mentioned the places I knew and he knew them as well. We decided to check out a place called Zoila.

This place seemed to be in a bad part of town and I was little uncomfortable on the way there. But we made it and walked in. There were about 5-10 ladies there, but it was really dark inside and very hard to get a good look. The darkness would be a recurring theme at the clubs in the DR.

We ordered a beer, Presidente, which turned out to be pretty good. It was really the only choice, but I was quite happy to drink it. I surveyed the talent and inquired about the price. 1000 pesos or about $21 for the girl and 250 to the house for the room for an hour and half. Hard to beat so I brought a lady over to sit down and chat. Her name was Yoli and she was 21.

She seemed friendly enough with some heavy petting going on so I decided what the hell and took her to the room. The room was kind of dumpy, but it was acceptable. Once I got her into the light I suffered a little bit of buyer’s remorse. (Another common theme on this trip) Oh well, she did have some big boobs though.

Overall the session was decent. Decent BBBJ action and a little DFK. Did her in the standard three, but she was asking for leche while I did her in doggie. I finished up and then headed back out to the bar to meet the fellow American who I will refer to as “L.” We got another round of drinks before heading over to Pasion. I actually wanted to check out Casa Blanca and Ilusion, but L mentioned he could not go to either place as they use to be his stomping grounds and too many people would recognize him, whatever that meant.

We got to Pasion, which was a lot nicer than Zoila but still very dark inside. There were some very attractive ladies there. I talked to three and all three seemed very unfriendly and aloof. There were two spinners that were absolutely to die for and I regret not doing them now even as trophies. The first spinner that sat down with me wanted 4000 and would not accept 2000. I let her go and she wanted money for sitting with me. I poured down a couple more beers and continued to scan the talent. I talked to the other spinner, but again did not close the deal because she wanted too much and would not budge and was not very friendly. By this time L was getting ready to call it a night so he headed back to the hotel. I took the opportunity to chat to one last lady, but again she seemed aloof and unfriendly and would not accept 2000. So I head out and go to Ilusion in order to search for Naomi.

I walked in and asked for her, but the waiter said she was about to dance. I sit down and enjoy the show, but don’t see Naomi even after two dancers do their routine. I head over to the restroom when I notice a little spinner sitting at the bar smiling brightly at me. I continue on the restroom, but smile back at her.

While in the restroom, (I am one of those “always uses the stall” guys) I notice there is no toilet seat. Not that I needed one, I just happen to notice there was not one there. I head back to my seat and make a detour to the brightly smiling lady and decide to chat with her.

I forget her name, but she was 20 years old. She was extremely friendly and very touchy feely while outside and sharing a drink. I was getting very good vibes from her so I decided to take her onsite. She accepted 2000 and we headed to a room near the gazebo outside.

Decent BBBJ, decent ball licking, responded pretty favorably to the vigel and we did the standard three. Overall this was a pretty good session and I left pretty fulfilled. I was heading down to Santo Domingo the next day so this was probably the only exploring of the Santiago scene I was going to be able to do.

I head back to the Hodelpa Centro Plaza to call it a night. I was pretty damn tired at this point and knocked out pretty quickly.
