Day 1
I arrive at GIG, Dons driver picks me up and runs me over to Alcazar. On the way he shows me all the major points of interest. My time in the taxi is spent divided between listening to him, experiencing the crazy driving habits (which I came to appreciate by the end of the trip) and browsing Bwana-Diks 2004 update.
I meet Don. Completely laid back guy. Made me feel as relaxed as one can feel on the first day of a trip like this. He handed me my cell phone and we planned to head to Loumos in a couple hours. It’s about 1:30pm at this point. I check into my apartment, which was right around the corner on Djama Ulrich a block back from Ave. Atlantica. I was right between Alcazar and Help… ground zero.
I stock my fridge with beer and water, get a bite to eat and a beer at Alcazar and off we went. As Don and I were walking to Loumos he started to run everything down for me. Where to get money and groceries., the best places to eat, the best pharmacies and internet joints, barbers and Laundromats. He was breakin it all down. Problem was half this shit was going in one ear and out the other. I was too busy trying to get my head wrapped around the place. Taking in the sights, sounds and smells. Keeping an eye on the crazy drivers…but especially the women. Women worth taking a second look at, all over the place. Women who look like they take pride in their appearance. Beautiful bodies and faces, man, my head was spinning.
We get to Loumos and go through the routine. I put condoms, Listerene strips and smokes in my robe. I told myself I would bring my camera to the rest of the termas I would visit. Never happened. My camera wasn’t as small as I would have liked it to be.
We walk out of the locker room and through the frosted glass door. I make the left turn. My vacation begins.
I’ve never been in a place where there were so many beautiful women in such close proximity. The place was a lot smaller than I expected and I was a bit more apprehensive than I cared to be. I had a drink and started talking to a Mulatta named Thyna. Gorgeous girl. Very pretty face, nice eyes and hair, beautiful smile and of course the bangin body. Ass and legs were outstanding as were the rest of the women I was with throughout my trip. Session was great. All holes were covered. Had a very nice time. The stories are correct. Brazilian women are very passionate and are eager to please their man, at least the putas are. (in my experience)
From the minute I stepped off the plane I was told that I looked Brazilian but that doesn’t seem to be a hard thing to pull off. These cariocas come in many different shapes, sizes and shades. It was to my advantage at times though. I never got hassled by the kids or vendors, but I think it makes a small difference with the girls also. In fact, when I walked into a terma or browsed at Help I would get (what I suspect) the normal eye contact and smile but it wasn’t until they heard me speak English when things began to get rolling. Hmmm…looking Brazilian, blessing or curse.
We left Loumos after a couple hours and went back to Alcazar to eat and have a couple beers. I talked with some of the guys and decided I wasn’t up for a Help visit tonight but I still wanted some company so Don called up a girl from Karlas and she arrived to my apartment 10 minutes early. Nice girl. No English but good session overall. She left around 1am.

My first day was in the books. I fell asleep to the sounds of loud music, traffic noise and animated on street conversations. Ahhh…the cacophony of Rio.
