I got a late start today, but eventually made it back to Makati Ave. and P. Burgos Street. It was around 7pm and I started my evening off at Flamingo.

This is a pretty nice club inside. They have a rotating carousel stage, reminiscent of the Dollhouse and Carnival bars in Thailand. There wasn’t much of a selection, but I was there early. There was little to no pressure and nice atmosphere in this bar. I liked it a lot and recommend it.
Right next door to Flamingo is Wild West.

This place is really small and cramped inside. As I recall the stage is the bar, or the stage is located directly in back of the bar. There were about 5-10 ladies dancing when I arrived and the place had a lot of customers. There was also a back area that didn’t appear to be open yet. This was another bar that had low drink pressure and nice atmosphere. I met an American from Louisiana there who was working with a team to drill and harness geothermal energy in the Philippines. There were a few good looking women there and I also highly recommend Wild West.
I decided to check out Hollywood next.

The warnings about this place were correct in every sense of the word. In a nutshell, this place sucks! It was so contrary to my previous two experiences at Wild West and Flamingo. This was a classic, “surround the customer as soon as he enters” place. I developed my own little strategy once this happened.
I encouraged all the ladies to gather up to me really closely and then I ordered a drink for myself. I then went on to state a little bit about myself, where I was from, how old I was, how long I was going to be in the Philippines, where I was staying, etc. These were the standard questions being asked by the mobs when I went into a high pressure bar and that was my way of dealing with it.
I imagine the ladies get tired of being asked the same questions over and over again as well. But when I was barhopping I got tired of the scatter shot approach to the questions over and over again so I decided to cut them off. I received mixed reaction to this strategy. When I started my spiel in some places, I got a big laugh by the time I anticipated and answered the second or third unasked questions. At some places the reaction was not quite as positive. Hollywood was one of these places.
Another thing I did to disperse the mob was usually select ONE and only ONE lady out of them to sit and have a drink with. This goes against my “just like to kick back and scan the talent” barhopping ways, but I found no other way to get around being surrounded by 6-10 ladies as soon as I entered a place.
Once again, Hollywood was different in that regard. I selected one lady from the mob to have a drink with, but two of her friends stayed with me and constantly hounded me for drinks. I eventually got so annoyed at one her friends’ constant nagging that I looked at her and said, “I don’t know how to make this any clearer to you. No.”
I did manage to get my groping fun for the cost of my lady drink with some good grinding as well. They all wanted to go to the VIP, but I declined. The stage was rather small and I seem to remember lots of red in this place. There were a few ok lookers there, but the pressure and atmosphere really brought the place down. I don’t recommend it at all. It is probably best to avoid overall.
I decided to check out Tickles next.

Tickles is located across the street from Billboard. This is a small bar that was packed full of both customers and ladies. The bar seems to play 80’s American rock. There seemed to be a good amount of Bon Jovi, Def Lepard, Poison, etc being played in the club. Drink pressure was existent in this club, but not overwhelming like it was at Hollywood.
Two ladies sat down and chatted with me. We got onto the subject of lady drinks (naturally) and they told me that an African-American from California came in the other day and spent 800,000 pesos on lady drinks. It that is true, that is just insane. 800,000 pesos is around $14,000 US. The previous night at Dimples, some lady there pointed out a guy that spends 100,000 a night on lady drinks. That is almost $2000 US. I just can’t imagine it, or even believe it. If it is true, I think it is quite foolish.
Like I said before, the drink pressure is tolerable and the talent and atmosphere is decent. If you love 80’s rock, then this place is definitely for you. I can go either way on my opinion about this place. Check it out if you want. Oh and even though the place is called “Tickles” I didn’t seem to get a positive reaction when I tried to “tickle” the ladies that were with me. Go figure! LOL!

When I went to check out this place I was actually looking to check out Ivory instead. Apparently the Ivory Jungle use to be a VIP room(s) for Ivory until they made it into its own club. This place is not very big inside at all. I was immediately surrounded by women here and did my spiel. It went over well and then I got asked who I wanted to purchase a lady drink for.
There was a silent, quiet and shy lady in the back of the crowd sitting on a stool who was paying very little attention to me. She was just sitting there and staring at me while the other ladies were stroking me and all pretending to be interested. The silent lady in the back was hot, so I pointed to her and she plopped down next to me for a drink. She was 23, tiny and super hot. The best part was that she spoke excellent English and possessed some intelligence.
The bar itself was done up in (you can guess this) a jungle type atmosphere. There was moderate drink pressure from the waitresses to continue buying her drinks, but I always cut them off after one. She continued to sit and chat with me even after I had cut her off. She told me some interesting stories about who she liked and didn’t like to go with. Her biggest complaint seemed to be Arabs. She said they stunk and were rude. One actually came in while we were talking and she frowned as he and his buddies entered.
The place was pretty dead overall. It didn’t take much for her to give me her telephone number. She wanted 5000 originally. (More on this later) I still wanted to barhop a bit, but this lady was quite high on the to-do list for the evening. I liked Ivory Jungle overall. Recommended!

I like it and this place gets a big “thumbs up.” It is nice and spacious inside and each table has an ivory tusk light in the center of it. The bar is directly behind Ivory Jungle and you can enter from either Kalayaan or P. Burgos Street.
It is a standard 3000,300 place and also has VIP for 1500. The mamasan was friendly there and I experienced low to moderate drink pressure with no “surround the customer” annoyances. I met a 19 year old named Kathy. I bought her a drink and hung out with her for a while and now I had a dilemma. I now had two ladies that I could have taken. Either my 23 year old from the Ivory Jungle or Kathy. I chatted her up and she was also willing to meet me afterward for some fun. I got her number and was considering her for another day. There was also an 18 year old virgin there that was too cute. She had a terrific body and a beautiful face.
I liked Ivory a lot. Everything about the place was pretty cool. I highly recommend it!
I went to Papillion next and it was closed. I guess that bar is closed Sunday’s. FYI.
As I continued my P. Burgos Street tour I was now staring directly over at Dandasha, the Arab club. I decided to go ahead and brave it. This place is located upstairs and is attached directly to Cuddles.

I still can’t believe I went into the place. The things I will do in the name of research! I walked up the stairs and entered the club. They were playing some kind of music in Arabic that I couldn’t understand. I sat down and ordered a drink and was surrounded by about 10 ladies. There was one other customer in the club who had two ladies next to him. Once I sat down, the first comment I heard was (I swear I am not making this up) a compliment on how good I smelled. I got a big kick out of that given the conversation I had just had with the 23 year old from Ivory Jungle.
I didn’t think too much of the place, but it is not really geared towards the American whitey anyways. I just wanted to check it out and did. There were probably around 20 ladies there total, maybe 2 or 3 were doable. You can probably bypass this place.

This was a small little bar located north of Kalayaan on P. Burgos Street. Actually, it is pretty close to Jool’s. I went in and the place was completely dead. There was low drink pressure there and two ladies spent some time to come over and chat with me. I believe there were VIPs available there and I think I remember private booths and curtains lining the outside of the bar. There was not much talent there at all. When I went to leave the mamasan practically begged me to stay, but I had other places I wanted to see. This might be a cool little hangout bar, but I hope the talent is better on other nights.
Jool’s
I decided to go ahead and take me chances on Jool’s. Upon entering, they are upfront about the costs of the shows and the reason why they charge a viewing fee. The sign said something about the time to train and rehearse for the shows as well as costume purchasing. As it turned out, I went on a Sunday night, the only night they don’t have shows going on.
I think the shows run Monday through Saturday and start at 10:00pm. The show fee is 180 pesos and the place is a standard 3000, 300. There were around 20 ladies working there and I was surprised that the drink pressure wasn’t that significant. There was a Porker delight there that had huge tits and was not shy about taking my hands and placing them on her.
I actually got away from this place without having to purchase a lady drink. The club itself was huge inside, although there were very few customers and the place was pretty much empty. I would have been interested to go back and actually hang out and watch a show.
