Because of my novia(s) and their friends, I was taken to some locals hangouts on Avenida Sexta and the Juancito area. Lots of places to dance, drink, and socialize. Wow, do these Caleanos like to dance, these girls love to gyrate and will do it non-stop for hours. I met tons of people just being a wallflower at these joints, and the eyecandy will blow you away. When I did try to dance and make a fool of myself, I became in instant celebrity. These Colombians are easily entertained.

Juancito area is for when you have locals that will take you there. The Avenida Sexta area is close enough and safe enough for you to go alone. There are lots of girl here, in groups, hanging out and having a good time. Although there are about a dozen hangouts, I recall Fandango, Las Brisas, xxxx allgegro that I went to. Just ask to be dropped off at the FANDANGO on avenida Sexta.

Also around the Avenida Sexta area, later in the nights, I saw about a dozen street walkers. Some of them looked realy hot, but I was with a novia each time, so could not partake. A mental note to check it out later.

Jkarp, will do. But one thing good about having so few tourists is that the Caleanos seem less advanced in the scam dept, which is a far cry from Costa Rica or some areas of Camobodia. None of the taxis, maids, or brothels, or even the casino people were inclined to scam me.

I disagree about trying the "matrimonial thing" just to have girls show you a good time. Most of these girls seem to be really honestly looking for a guy to marry. I think you are kind of playing with their emotions if you're not serious about anything long term. I goofed by flying my girl to Peru with me. She was expecting to get super serious super fast and I'm not about that.

Too many girls to show you a good time without resorting to the matrimonial thingy girls in my humble opinion.

I guess it does sound a bit crass considering there are so many other ways to meet up with a girl here. Normally, I wouldn't have even thought about the matrimonial thing, but the 2 guys I met seem to think that there were some girls in the program who were known to be for fun, and so they ask for these specific girls. Go figure.

No problem Merlin. To each his own but I just don't understand the rationale for meeting girls to fool around with that way. You've been to Cali so you know how it is there. Finding a hottie is as easy as it gets. Not only that but if you have some game you should be able to get tons of phone numbers from the club girls. I hung out several days with hotties from the clubs during the days.

I'm on Cybercupidos now and it's clear that there are so many girls desperate to find a guy and leave Colombia. I kind of stopped responding because it's not worth it to get their hopes up. Too many easier way to meet girls for just sex if that's your goal. If you really are looking for a relationship than Colombia is a good place to look. Lots of available girls if you have the time, money and Spanish.

I had GREAT luck on amigos.com a few years ago too. Now I'm just trying to practice my Spanish with them. Almost all of them have Yahoo or MSN messenger. You have to at least be conversational to IM with them. Many will throw out their phone number on the first email. Funny.

I agree with Godfather. I am now a member of the amigos.com and have great luck lining up chicas for my upcoming Columbia trip. One of the girls asked me to pick me up at the airport and I going to decline it due to an expert advise from Merlin. But I think most of the girls at amigos are really looking for a long term, meaningful relationship. I am not looking for one and going to turn off my profile after my trip.

Although I didnīt participate in any online forums to meet girls, I can see how that can be an excellent way to line up the girls before your trip. From there, you can meet the girl and her friends, and it will snowball from there. I noticed the Cali girls are more receptive to introductions than cold calls.

I agree with you. It's EXTREMELY easy to meet girls from these websites. Get this, when I was in Lima, I emailed maybe about 10 hotties on that website. 6 emailed me back. 3 gave me their cell phone numbers and the first email! I was going to meet two of them but just didn't have time.

Most of the street walkers on avenida sexta are <18 years old. One time I was hanging out on the patio at Douglass, and a street girl made eye contact with me. I chatted it up with her, and she admitted that she was 15. Kinda grossed me out actually. I wouldn't mess with that, but that's just me.
