RIO ANTIGO

Over the mountain and through the tunnel from Copa is the Gloria section of Rio. Easily reached by Metro or taxi this section is home to Terma Rio Antigo. Other posters have given walking directions from the Metro to the club, but I was never able to find it that way. If you wish to use the metro (very cheap) I suggest you take a cab over and find the metro from the club. If leaving the club on foot be careful since this is a very active stroll for transsexuals. I had a difficult time believing it when the cab driver pointed it out to me . Most of these guys looked pretty good and I might have been taken in if I had not been warned.

On the first day I went to this club I arrived at two with my friend Dood. We had been informed that they opened at noon and we felt that two hours was sufficient time for things to get going. To our surprise the real opening was two and we were the first two arrivals. I found it somewhat unnerving to be virtually alone in a group of twenty women. Something rather exposed and vulnerable about it.

However, I adjusted and picked out several possibilities. The one who caught my eye first was a cute little brunette with great eyes and smile. Her approach was very aggressive and I gave in to her charms. She was actually a little older than I would have liked , but she made up for it in enthusiasm. The cabinas at Antigo are nicely appointed and have mirrors on the ceilings as well as the walls. Most other termas are satisfied with wall mirrors alone. This is indicative of the facilities at RA. Everything is new and looks as if it was supplied by IKEA. Shower and sauna area are immaculate. It seems that the club has just had a complete overhaul. At any rate her is my first girl at RA.

I returned to the bar after a shower and began to once again scan the talent. I was pleased to see that several more men and a number of girls had arrived in my absence. The bar in RA is roomier than most and it lacks the long narrow layout which is so common. It's shape made girl watching easier, and the bar was more accessible than usual. They also served coffee and some food. The bar also boasted a big screen TV (playing a Madonna concert tape when I was there). At any rate I saw several girls who were good candidates for round two, but before I could settle on one of them a cute blond that I had previously done at 4x4 appeared and threw her arms around my neck. I am a helpless sucker when they recognize me and want a repeat performance. I think the clincher was when she started sucking my fingers. I have no idea why this works, but it gets me every time. Here are her shots from RT. In such closed spaces the lens distance tends to add a few pounds. She is actually slimmer than she appears here.

On my way out of town in March I decided that I just had to go back for a shot at the beautiful blond I had seen there. They had no problem holding my luggage for me when I went in. This time it was quite a bit latter and I no longer had all the girls to myself. Predictably, the girl I wanted was being monopolized by a local.

I checked out the rest of the talent but my attention kept coming back to my blond. Time was beginning to be a problem so I grabbed another young blond.

Her service was fine but I just couldn't get the first blond off my mind. When I returned to the bar my friend grabbed me and indicated that the blond was free. Immediately I grabbed her and off we went to a suite. The suites here are especially nice and roomy with large mirrors on the ceilings. My girl seemed shy at first but her shyness melted quickly once we had gotten rid of the clothes. I especially enjoyed the mirrors for the 69 part of the proceedings. Looking at my watch I realized that I was due at the airport and I bid my lovely a fond farewell. I felt that I had not finished with her.Time would prove me right. Face like an angel.

Now, this information is from March and things can turn around fast in the terma business. I did not get a chance to visit RA this last trip, but I have heard that there seems to have been some kind of exodus of the best talent from the club. I do know that this last young lady had moved as well as the other blond, but, whether this is just a normal migratory pattern or an indication of some problem with the club, I do not know. I do know that the club warranted another try. More research is required.

Also located downtown is the famous 4x4. Located at 44 Rua Buenos Aires this is probably the largest club in town. There can be as many as 150 girls on hand and some of them are truly spectacular. Pricing is in line with most of the other termas and the staff is very efficient. Non-Portuguese speakers can get by here although the clientele is primarily local. The club is huge covering five floors and wandering endlessly. It is possible to get lost here...I have done it. Strangely enough the main bar is no larger than the main bar in any other terma and it is usually very crowded. Furtive caresses are almost unavoidable , but it is difficult to see the talent. Fortunately there is a large bar/restaurant/relax area in the back of the club (down the hall and up the spiral staircase) which is seldom crowded and which provides a good spot to get to know your chosen girl better. The cabinas are basic and the suites are small...no real luxury here...and they have these stupid diagonal mirror sections which annoy me. However, the quality of the girls tends to make up for such minor disappointments. They specialize in blondes here, so, if that is your thing, this is your place.

On my last trip I fell in with another blond who was not my usual style, but who had something intriguing. She informed me she had worked at major clubs in Barcelona and Zurich, and, from her skills I could believe it. She was very domineering and wanted to control the action. Her performance was somewhat practiced as she ran through an amazing array of positions and acts including an enthusiastic anal and some inspired rimming. By the time she was done I didn't really care that she was practiced. I also saw her at HELP a few nights so she is working all over. Her ass was bigger than I like but she really knew how to work it.

4x4 is known for their blondes but they have redheads as well. In fact they have something for every taste. I personally like petite girls and I found a lot to like in this little beauty. She stood only about 5 ft. even, but her size did not give any indication of her talent. After the rock em' sock em' blond I found her sweetness to be a refreshing change.

That was redhead #!. Redhead #2 was much more spectacular. I can only give an obscured picture her (as per her request) but this girl is one I could fall in love with. I have actually had to limit my visits to 4x4 because it is difficult for me to see her too often. "It's a fool who looks for logic in the chambers of the human heart." Very hard to observe that old 3x rule but certainly wise to try.

You will just have to take my word for how gorgeous she is. And she's a scorpio...we all know what that means.

She is, however only one prime example of what is available at 4x4. Like all the downtown clubs 4x4 caters to the Brazilian business man and is often relatively empty before 5:00. Early afternoon is a good time for a visit. There is little competition and the girls are easy to see. When last I visited they were even offering a price reduction before 5, making 4x4 one of the most affordable clubs as well as the biggest. An important point to remember when in a terma. Many of the Brazilian you see are not real competition. Many of them are not there to get laid. They simply come in for a drink and a steam after work and a little free touchy feely with the girls. The girls tolerate this because their livelihood depends on customer satisfaction and repeat business, but you, the horny gringo traveler, are the one she really wants. You are today's business and she needs you. Be persistent and make your desires know. I am NOT suggesting you be rude, but do not concede the race to one who might not be running. I try to make eye contact with the girl of my choice and then move off and make myself available. More often than not she will turn up in short order. And if she doesn't...there are 149 other choices. Do not chase girls who play hard to get. I know this can be fun but it teaches them to be like American women and we DO NOT want that.
