Catacony, I remember now. Yes, 1706 is a great place. Endoftheroadex, Katelco, no offence but you arent really informed cause although it escaped my memory, the R$50 place in Rio is a good one. And it opens before many of the other Termas in Rio do. It is meticulously clean, and fresh sheets and towels are given out (sealed in plastic) for each session.

price and quality of session in Rio have very little correlation. On the other hand, the R$30 places are just plan crappy facilities--even though some top girls work in those places too. Based upon the "sleeze" factor I dont recommend a 30R place to anyone who doesnt like those sorts of facilities.

Some of the worst experiences of my time in Rio have been at Monte Carlo, and it cost me about R$200 by the time I was done being unsatisfied.

I think the price difference in Rio has more to do with the facility and siZe of selection. Strangely, going from R$30 to R$50 results in a dramatic difference. The R$50 place is nicer than 4x4 inside in my opinion. The R$70 place I like is nicer inside than Centaurus (then again, I think Centaurus is gawdy, and I hate the beds cause the sheets wont stay on).

My experience at the $R20 per half hour places in Rio is also that the facilities are sorely lacking, but you do find some gems. The facilities can be a downer, particularly after the initial thrill of finding some gems for $R20 wears off.

It should be noted, however, that in Sao Paulo, the facilities at the cheap places (R$20 per half hour) on average are a bit better than in Rio. Some are actually satisfactory, although not all. As you increase the rate a bit, the facilities can improve alot. Yesterday, I visited a place that was a whopping R$30 per half hour (R$60 per hour) and the facilities were just fine. A regular bedroom with an attached shower and bathroom. While the garotas were variable, there were some who were competitive with Rio termas, such as quatro. At the R$80 - R$90 per hour places, they are more than competitive, and the facilities are generally quite nice (although you don't, of course, get the sauna, etc.)

First of all, at least the few places I went to with GCL, they are in nice office/mixed-use (obviously) buildings in Centro - not at VM or out in the boondocks. Two were on Branco, the other on Rua Mexico. The place on Branco was four blocks from 4x4.

Second, you get to see all the girls and if you see one you like, you get to it. If not, you leave and go onto the next place. You don't get charged an entry fee for looking, change in and out of a robe, etc. These are old-style bordellos, except they are in apartments and offices in Centro.

What did I most like about my first day of sex apartment hopping? One, they are open early, so you can get in a session before the termas open.
