A while ago, I visited Termas Monte Carlo. There were about 40 girls. One was 19 years old, a few were 21. The rest was older. The next day I visited my favorite R$ 30 massage parlor, just around the corner from Monte Carlo, on Serzedelo Correia 15 apt. 1104. There were 5 girls, 4 of them 18 to 19 years old, 2 of them with only
2 weeks of work experience.


People who like fresh, unhardened young girls might be happier at the cheap places then at maior termas.

One reason is: small massage parlors constantly advertise in the classifieds for new talent. So do internet agencies. I have never found termas advertising for girls. Usually girls start their careers at small massage parlors or internet
agencies. Once they arrive at a termas they stay there till they retire.

The basic information, how to find the places in the newspapers, is still valid.

A few places closed, unfortunately. Hilario de Gouveia 66, Serzedelo Correia, both closed.

Mainly Diabolicks (which has a new name every week) is open in Copacabana. Plus termas Copacabana, next door, Av N S Copacabana 583 apt. 203, which usually is nothing special.


Seems Azuzinho, the grey awning on Serzedelo Correia at the corner of Siqueira Campos, improved, as it is now owned by one of the prior owners of my favorite places that closed. Careful: don't let any tout bring you over there, or the price will go up from 80 or 100 to 150, for tout commission.

Downtown not much has changed.

I like Buenos Aires 85 with the spiral staircase, also Uruguaiana 24(?). Carioca 59 also still exists.

Stellas at Santa Luzia 405, 4 andar apartamento 29 still exists.

Some of the small apartments in Rua do Ouvidor have closed.

Many people will like Travessa do Ouvidor 37, which now has become like a very cheap termas, where you can sit around, chat, have a beer and grope at will.

They have a cheap quickie (around 20-40) in a bit of lousy environment, or more expensive stuff (R$ 50-80) in fairly decent rooms with large size beds.

If you go to the cheap room you have to plead with the madam to let you use the shower, against the normal rules. I bring my own towel, if you don't have one I would offer 1-2 Reais for the towel.

Buenos Aires 113 always was the cheapest dump around, not even trying to get more then R$ 10 out of you. I never managed to do anything there.

Now, recently, they seem to have changed their ways. If you pay a drink, you can sit around and the girls come around, sit on your lap, and get cozy. Of course with the intent to score. I guess some small tips of a few Reais would really get them excited. Note that the girl only gets R$ 5 (half of R$ 10) for a fuck , so a R$ 5 tip would be extremely high. also note that most Brazilians there probably cannot afford the R$ 10 and just scrape R$ 3 together to sit and grope.



Now there is an entire new class of medium priced massage places, that deserve reporting.

They cater to executive Brazilians. Very clean, well dressed girls (I prefer them sleazy so you can see all. Well ...). They are in executive buildings, for example I know 5 of them in Edificio Central (the huge building next to Carioca station with the computer stalls and stores in the first few floors)

rumors are that there are 20 of them in there.

The girls have some basic notion of massage and will spend some time massaging you unless you prevent them.

Pricing is like
1 girl half hour R$ 50-60
1 girl 1 hour R$ 80-100
2 girls 1 hour R$ 120 to 140

you get the idea what the best deal is.

Now it is hard to get these places addresses. Needs lots of calling. They do NOT want to publish their addresses, and I would not want to publish them on any publicly accessible website.

Some have decent girls, others like "Yolanda 45 years" probably are less interesting.

The best of the bunch is on the 15th floor of 181 Rio Branco, I don't remember the number exactly but they used to be down on the 9th floor. If you get off on the 15th turn right out of the elevators and at the hallway go left and you'll see it down on the right-hand side.

Bel Prazer on the 21st floor of 185 Rio Branco - where the elevator only goes to the 20th and you walk up the stairs - had shit quality but has high volume and turnover. Go away and come back a half-hour later and you should be cool.

I checked out 37 Travesse do Ouvidor, I thought the place was a pit. However, I think you get 2 beers for the $R5 entry so if anything it's cheap beer. The little mini-boite on the second floor was horrible, a really shitty sound system turned up high and hot as hell, with some seedy looking guys sitting around with some ugly garotas. I didn't venture upstairs and left after a couple of minutes.

24 Urugaiana is a real dump, but it is an interesting experience to walk up the stairs. Putas basically hanging on the stairwell grabbing you (and you grabbing plenty of ass) as you head up and down the stairs. It's like a single-building version of Villa Mimosa. That place would be good for nothing beyond stand-up sex - I wouldn't sit down on one of those beds much less fuck on one. However, getting a very cheap hummer or bending a garota over the bed would be workable.

I would wager there are sex apartments/massage parlors/mini-termas in just about every large building in Centro. O Globo is the bible for finding these places, so grab a newspaper or check it out online and get a list of phone numbers and/or addresses. Get a list of places together and spend an afternoon in Centro making the rounds. The variety is huge, from classy to shitty and everything in between.

I completely agree with your assessment of 37 Trav de Ouvidor. When I walked in there was this short fat chick standing in the middle of the dance floor with vibrating folds of cellulite, and she was the best looking one there. I stayed for a few minutes to see if anything better would show up, but it only got worse. They'd have to pay me to drink a beer in that place.

I also visited 583 NS Copa and was equally unimpressed. There was a line-up of 5 girls that looked pretty worn. After those two experiences I gave up on Brothel Apartments (those 2 places are the ones everyone raves about so I can't imagine what the others are like). But maybe I'll give 181 Branco a chance since you seem to share my standards.

It would be nice to believe there are some well kept secrets out there, but so far I haven't found anything better than the popular termas. Maybe if you like the VM skank variety there are a lot of options, but I wouldn't recommend these places for anyone else.
