I thought I'd post some scenic pics of Cambodia that might surprise some of you. I hope you get a sense of how unspoiled and beautiful some areas of the country are.
Here are some pics from the beaches of Sihounokeville and its immediately surroundings:
Even some areas of Phnom Penh had some pretty areas near the Riverfront.
Here are some pics of Siem Reap (Angkor Wat):

Wow Merl,
Really, really nice. I had always heard how awesome Angkor Wat at Siem Reap was, but the other photos are cool as well.
I know you're an avid fisherman as well - what's the deal with fishing in Cambodia (besides angling for Viet and Khmer cuties)?

WS, I really didn't have a chance to go fishing in Cambodia, some areas are still not "de-mined". But last December, when I was driving down to PP from SR, we stopped along a bunch of rivers teeming with trout-like fish and catfish that people were catching with all sorts of nets. There were some areas that were just stunningly beautiful. We also passed by the huge Mekong river and there were lots of fisherman here and there. I saw a bunch of these huge catfish that SEA is famous for. I would imagine you need to take your own fishing gear since I really didn't see any fishing poles or the like.
I'll have to try to go fishing next time I'm in S-Ville or Siem Reap, the areas around PP are kind of polluted.
