Turns out they have seen pics of themselves on the internet, probably not on Hombre, but that kind of talk is going around. This explained why a few gals at LDV asked me not to share pics, and those that requested, I will honor their request. WS: LOL, you're incredibly observant! I have another thing in common with you in the snoring department. We'll have to see who snores louder one of these days. I discovered this trick in Cambodia a few trips ago, I give the LT girls the little overnight kit that they give you when you fly Biz class, invariably, there are always excellent earplugs, eyeshades, lotion, toothbrush, among other things. I save the kit for a special favorita, and they absolutely love it when I do. BTW: I flew COPA this trip throughout and they were an excellent outfit, with just one stopover in Panama to CTG. As you know, I got the full elite credits and bonuses since they are close affiliates of CO. All the more reason for me to continue going to Colombia.

I did some research on COPA and flying from New York to CTG, they have a real good schedule. The outbound flight leaves JFK early (6:00am) but you only have a 2-hour layover in Panama and then you're in CTG at 1:45pm - so you still have the whole day ahead of you.

Coming back, you don't leave CTG until 2:15pm, which is nice, then a 3-hour layover in Panama and you get into JFK at 1:45am - a little on the late side, but I really like that schedule.

Through into the mix the free upgrade and for JFK-CTG I think it's the best deal around. COPA's schedule has HUGE layovers in Panama when going to Cali or Medellin - not worth it. But CTG is very doable - I have that on my radar for October.

I noticed the earplugs because that's always been a big problem for me - snoring. It has caused countless girls to run screaming from the bedroom (after hitting me like I'm a punching bag).

I'll have to pack a few of the industrial type for the next trip.

WS: a layover in Panama wasn't that bad as there is an excellent lounge in Panama with high speed internet. Lots of hotties walking around also. Copa was extremely good at upgrading me for free each time.

Merlin, great photos as always. I am heading to CTG in September. I was planning on going to San Andreas via Cali but I guess I am going to CTG via Cali. I can't go wrong following you there as I did for Cali. I probably will have additional questions when I start compiling a PDF like I did for Cali.

Wallstreet, I notice another town Barrenquilla, or something like that is only 50-60 miles from CTG and it is also an international airport. I think COPA has a direct flight from Houston but I may be wrong but you can check it yourself.

Most girls don't really care about their pics naked or other wise, some even ask copies for themselves. But there are some that won't allow it because they have seen pics of them selfs in the net or someone they knew. Never asume that the girls don't surf the net.

Jkarp, Baranquilla is my next target City. When I flew back from CTG to Panama on COPA, they briefly stopped over in Baranquilla. The City actually looked larger than CTG, and it was near the beaches.

Vorlon: I think you're right, I found the concern more with the LDV girls than the Casa girls. There was one gal who worked in San Jose, and as you may know, San Jose had some problems with this issue, as did RIO recently. This is where the Band of Brothers' bonding thing comes in between all of us -- Don't share pics with the gals no matter what.

The mamasan is very nice, and if you're spooked by the location, you can have the girl(s) sent to your hotel. My initial reaction to the place appeared a bit off because I went back the next day and it was much tamer and no rowdies. It turned out that the night I went, they were having some mafioso convention.

It's in an industrial area about 30 minutes from the tourist area. From the outside, it looks like an abandoned warehouse or something with no distinctive markings to let you know that it's a brothel/club or that it's even inhabited. The girls are all very friendly and at least 4 of them were 8s or 9s IMO, plus they walk around in their Thong bikinis!

They have on-site rooms for ST, but no air conditioning. The beers are expensive. They have a pool table, a dance stage with poles, and sometimes the girls get up and do a strip show. The girls all told me they wanted to be taken out. Each girl I had provided the most exceptional GFE and BBBJ. I think it's worth checking out.

So the place is still going, I went with a girl from there 4 years ago for 5 days on my first trip to Colombia.

Yes, it's still alive and kicking, but just kind of far away and located in an unusual area for a Casa. They seem to cater to the locals and to the Sailors that are in port, and not so much the tourists.

I imagined a place like this--catering to the locals and sailors --would have a lot of old, weathered and jaded girls, but I found all the girls young, fresh and lively. Total GFE. I was talking to the girls here and they all seemed to be working on a short time basis for 2-3 months. The girls told me that there's a lot of turnover with these girls. They live, work, and eat on-premises 24/7, and so they were really eager to get out and about.

WS, I'm certain Colombia will move up in time. Every new trip to Colombia adds on to my infatuation with everything Colombia. Three trips so far and I can confirm that my first two extremely enjoyable trips there were not a fluke.

LOS is still #1, but I'm giving more and more consideration to total GFE, the travel time, time zone changes, etc. I doubt Colombia will ever get as packed as LOS or RIO because of all the misunderstandings about this place. As you know, I've been feverishily exploring other venues this past year and I think I'm ready to "settle down" with LOS/Cambodia and Colombia as my primary travel destinations.

What doesn't come out from the pics is the tremendous fun I had with each girl and at each casa. This CTG trip was memorable for having every provider giving me a 100% GFE experience.

Actually, one of the things I liked most about Medellin was that it wasn't packed with tourists. I read one of Hunter's posts where he said you could go weeks in Cali without seeing another American and MONTHs in Medellin without seeing one there. To me that's a major plus.

Colombia isn't for everyone - some people want the security of known quantities - that's why Costa Rica will never go "out-of-business". Also, I think Costa Rica gets a bad rap - it's a great, cheap weekend getaway if you live on the East Coast.

And I know exactly what you're saying about the GFE not coming through in pictures. People who think they're getting GFE in Asia would do some serious re-evaluation if they visited Colombia.

Wallstreet, if you go to certain places in Cali or Medellin, you will see foreigners, although not many, but in most parts of either City you will not see any.

Most foreigners are only there for a short trip and will stick to known areas, like Chippy Chapi etc.

She was on the same flight with me from Miami to Los Angeles, and was in the seat directly in front of me, but I did not know that it was her. Curious, I asked one of the Flight Attendants, who was a friend of mine, who she was. He said, "Just some singer named Shakira." I about flipped.

After listening to a few of her songs on the airplane, as she was beginning to stir, I made my way to the lav. Walking back, I just looked at her and said hi. She smiled back. Then I told her that I just listened to three of her songs. The following conversation took place:

MD: "Did too."

SH: "Which ones."

MD: I told her the titles.

SH: "Did you like them?"

That started about 30 minutes of non-stop conversation between us, along with her brother or manager sitting across the aisle. He had the photo which she autographed.

After landing, we walked side by side talking about the music business. I told her how I appreciated her hard work in the production and everything else that it takes to get records produced and on the market. Again she started asking questions, probably to see if I was serious or not. We parted on a good note, and went our separate ways.

Throughout all of this, her hair was up, and there is no way she looked like anything in her photo or videos. She was as nice as could be, and looked just like any other good looking girl in Latin America. It was a very pleasant experience, and my only regret was not to establish enough of a rapport to keep in contact with her. Maybe next time............
