COSTS FOR THE GIRLS?

By no means am I a CTG expert nor a Colombia expert, but I am most curious how the fees I paid measure up with others' experiences. This is also in response to a couple of PMs regarding the same question.

Here are the price ranges for most places:

(1) Sex by the hour: approx 1.5 to 2.5 hours 50000-120000 pesos ($30-45); depending on looks.

(2) Sex, Long Time $175000-$220000 ($65-75); depending on looks.

Most Casas charged ADDITIONAL for use of their facilities, between 20K to 50K. Nothing great about the rooms, very spartan, but all had toilets, a large bed and showers. There are short time hotels available near the beach areas where I paid about 20K for about 2 hours.

Obviously, the freelancers at the beach were more eager and willing to take lower amounts. Some of the Casas had real bargains.

The LDV girls, especially the hotties, started off at 150K or even 200K pesos and the 2 I had took between 120K ST. Some of the real hotties at LDV refused to budge from 150K, probably too spoiled by others.

I usually tipped the girls between 10K to 20K depending on service. This may be a bit much.

BEACH RENTALS/DRINKS

You can pay between 2000-3000 to rent a small tent at the beaches all day. The Beers were about 2000K. As noted, Tony #1 and Tony #2 are big time scammers that will take advantage of you if they can. I didn't tip the Touts any money for finding me a girl. In fact, you'll probably be ok to assume that any girl at the beach there by herself or with other girls will go with you for the right fee.

BEERS

I was stung by a couple of bar tabs. Most places charged me about $3-$4 U.S. for imported beer and about $1-$2 for domestic (which wasn't bad).

TAXIS:

Most places near the tourist areas were between 3000-5000 pesos. The airport (one way) was 120000 pesos. Beware that if you go to the old town, downtown or other areas, the taxi fees will be about 20,000K. No meters on the taxis so negotiate hard and fast before you get in.

Great info Merlin. I can't remember if you already mentioned the hotel info or not but I will check it again. You got me hooked on Colombia now and I don't know when I am going back to Cambodia.

Thanks for reminding me, the hotel I stayed at was Hotel Del Prieto, check out Prieto.com (I may have wrote down the wrong website earlier). This hotel was recommended by a friend from another board. I paid about $50 a day for a fairly nice room, small rooms are $35.00. The best part of the Hotel was it's location, 2 blocks from the Beach and 1 block from San Martin Ave (the main drag). I also thought the service was superb. They check IDs as I mentioned, but do not charge you a penalty for taking a girl in. They have in room safes in the bigger rooms. Daily maid service and the place was very nice, old world architecture. There is an excellent Italian restaurant with awesome pizza downstairs.

However, I would seriously consider an apartment (check out some CTG links on this site) simply because for the same price, i.e. $35-$50, you get a huge apartment with kitchen, bedroom, etc. Moreover, no one to turn away girls for not having IDs (maybe a disadvantage). I don't think they have safes though. I visited a couple of apartments for future reference, and they were right on the beach with incredible views. Plenty of room to invite 3 or more GFEs.

As for Cambodia, I'm not quite sure when either, it's still a destination I think about alot, but for the moment, I'm obviously fixated on everything Colombian.

I don't go with the working as much as I used to, but I know the prices from before, Zippy who has been a Ctg visiter for many years and was in Ctg for the the month of July confirmed that the prices had not changed for the majority of girls. But some will want a lot more and he just ignored them, there were plenty of girls in the old pricing range to choose from.

Girls will always want more money its up to you and how good your Spanish is on how much you pay, if they want to get into long negotiations, I forget them, to hard core.

There are more foreigners visiting Ctg now, which as Merlin has pointed out has spolied some of the girls, which in my view is good news, because there are a lot more girls there now to choose from than there was 4 years ago, onto the prices:

Airport one way to Laguito is 12,000 pesos (not 120,000 pesos)

Out to the barrios where the casas are located 8,000 - 12,000 pesos one way, depending on which casa.

APARTMENTS

As Merlin says most apts don't have safes, I know Mery apts have safety deposit boxs, enough room to hold your passport and money etc. Apartments cost from $40 a day plus, the more time you book it for, the bigger the discount, as anywhere.

Excellent info Hunter, this data would have come in handy prior to my trip, but I'll chalk it up as a learning expense.

I'm really not sure the girls at LDV, at least the one's I talked to, would go as low as the old pricing structure. These girls were the most aggressive and least interested in lowering their ST prices, which is why I only went there a couple of times. Some LDV girls, rather than negotiate down, simply walked away while negotiating (Costa Rica move).

I think I need to work on the fees to the Taxi drivers. I did pay 12K not 120K to the airport.

Also, are the tent rentals (2k-3k/day) and the drink prices about right?

Sorry I didn't post the prices earlier, but I am not very good at writing reports, but when somebody else writes them like you, Godfather, Wallstreet etc., I can then reply to some of the things that they have done, which I or other people I know, have done and give my 2 cents worth.

The LDV is definetly more hardcore than it used to be, I first went to the LDV in 2000 when it was located in the Old City, for three weeks I went in there most evenings and didn't see a gringo at all. It was a awesome place then, but such is life.

I went with two LDV girls in March, I would say they were 7s, I paid them 100K for all night, although I only went in there for about a hour and then took them (on seperate nights) to the Old City on the piss for 4 hours. Zippy took several girls from there in July and paid them 100K each, he said the same as you and what I experienced on my two visits, some girls will just walk away if you offer them 100k, they realise that you know the prices and will go looking for easier game to bag, but who cares there are plenty of others to choose from.

The beach as you are aware is the place to meet semi-pros who give better sex on average than the girls in the LDV.
But the Old City is really the place to pick up girls, if you walk around Monday to Friday afternoons the place is full of hot students and office/shop workers, very basic Spanish and a nice smile will get you into the arms of most of these girls in short order.

I thought the cabana (tent) rental was 5k a day, but I have never rented one, the drink prices sound OK.

I'm planning on a trip to bogota, probably in December, or January this year, I plan to stay near the airport, any info on the best sex clubs near airport, I'm looking for girl on girl action and some good sex, with 2 women, any advice would be appreciated.

I don't if anyone noticed, but right now is really hard to find a girl that is not in shape. Thats the new trend around the country. When i went to Medellin this past spring break, maybe two or four girls that i saw in the malls, had some extra pounds. Singers like Shakira and others influence many girls. Also the girls know that they have a better chance of getting a good man if the look good.

Vorlon, I was lucky enough to observe the same thing in Cali and CTG this time. Working girls aside, I thought the non-working girls Colombianas uniformly dressed nice and really looked good when the shop, go dancing, or gamble at the casinos. I spent hours at the malls, dance clubs and casinos just admiring the talent. Interestingly, I find this to be true in Thailand as well, lots of hotties everywhere you turnmerlin

Hunter's pricing for everything is right on. I never paid an LDV girl more than 100K, and they rarely ask me about money up front. Of course, the chica network has me pegged. Even if I don't know them, they seem to know me.

Tony charges 4K for all day for a cabana and 2K for a chair.

WHITERHINO, Hunter and other ex-pats have always told me and my buddies that we were overpaying, but chalked it up to the fact that I don't look like Brad Pitt .

Obviously, fluency in the language and living there would be helpful.

Colombia is next in my list of monger sites to check after my upcoming Cambodia trip in a couple of months.

I am curious re Hunter's Old City comment: is this a neighborhood, are there specific areas or streets within it that may be best to score?

I am fluent in spanish and I would like to use to my advantage to the fullest. Allowed for some great times in CR and DR.

Concarne, CTG has a huge old city area next to the beach surrounded by historic fortress walls. You can't miss it, you'll see some of it as you drive from the airport into town. I usually go to hangout and for the clubs (many clubs, cafes, restaurants), but I did find some freelancers at Santa Domingo Plaza (one of the main plazas that everyone will know about) on weekend nights. Freelancers are at Tripletera and tu Candelas clubs as well, which are located here. Don't miss Cafe El Mar which is real cool, with good music and lots of young and affluent types.

Whiterhino, I haven't been to the LDV for 1.5 years, my friend was here in July and he said he pulled girls out of there for 100,000 pesos a night, he also said there were plenty of foreigners in there paying 250,000 pesos for the night.

Here would be my updated list from what my friends tell me mostly, most of them speak some Spanish and have been to Ctg many times, so my prices haven't changed much, if you notice I have put "plus" after most of them as before, it depends on your Spanish skills, your negotiating skills, your looks, the girl etc., some girls won't accept anything less than 250K I have seen posted, but they are generally the hardcore ones, which don't give good service, so my friends and I would stay away from them.

I haven't been to a casa in over two years.

I pay beach and street girls in Boca Grande and Laguito 50 to 60K for short time(an hour or so). LDV runs 100K ST and 150K TLN. Of course they always want and ask for more. If money becomes an issue, walk. The service will suck.

I don't get too uptight about overpaying. It's your money.
