Well after a 16.5 flight and a 2 hour taxi drive I finally arrived in Angeles only to find out my room wasn't going to be ready for another 4 hours!!! I was staying at the Central Park Premier room but they gave me a normal room to wait in. Man that place was small, if your staying at the Central Park get their Premiere (its only $5 bucks more...). So as others have said AC isn't the prettiest place on earth but not that bad if your used to the 3rd world. Only annoying thing were these guys selling t-shirts and viagra all over my hotel. I talked to some of them and the same guys hasseled me every day for the rest of my trip. One side note though: This guy tried selling me 4 viagra pills for 3,000 pesos and as a joke I said no, how about 1,000. He agreed, that's like $4.5 a pill!!! Although I'd never buy drugs from a street hustler (who knows if they're legit?)...

Anyways I started getting excited as the sun went down and my first stop was La Bamba, thanks to the rave reviews from this sight. Man this was a fun bar. At 5pm it was only me and one other guy and I was swamped by 4 chicks before I could even order a drink. Then girls started coming down off the stage to hang out, there were so many I couldn't see the girls on stage. I bought some drinks and chatted for awhile (I wouldn't barfine anyone around me but they were friendly) when I saw a hottie that I recognized from one of Blazers trip reports (at least I think it was her). I shooed the girls around me away (some didn't look too happy) and invited her over. Man she was cute but it was too early for me to barfine so I told her that maybe I'd come back for her later and off I went. Misty's was next it was packed wall to wall chicks but no one I found of interest. Suddenly a waitress jumped me and man was she cute!!! She was all over me and eventually I just barfined her. As we walked out I looked at my watch and it was only 7pm!!! Argghh rookie mistake, it only took me 2 hours to barfine a girl and I had no idea what to do with her (I remember reading not to go to bars with chicks since the girls will remember you if you wanted to barfine them later). What to do... hey let's go back to my place. As soon as we were in my room she suddenly had to talk to her friend. Did I pick up a runner? Well the night was still young so I told her 1 hour and if she wasn't back by then then forget it. 55 minutes later she ran back in huffing and puffing. Turns out she had to go home to her province so she'd stay but had to leave early. Fine with me, I figured I needed my rest for my first night. No BJ with this chick but she was a really good lay. The next day I woke up with a mission: Visit as many bars as I could (since I only hit 2 my first night). I started with the early afternoon bars. Dirty Duck had only 1-2 lookers, the rest were average. Welcome Inn was similiar but I can't remember any lookers. Voodoo girls were all nasty except 1 who was really hot. I called her down to chat but I think I started off on a bad note by asking her for a quicky. She told me to come back later (I actually went back the day after around 6pm and chatted but she told me she was sick. The waitress told it was just an excuse not to go with me. Was I being too aggressive? Every night I was there I saw her hanging around to maybe she didn't go with anyone, just a drink girl?) Soon magic hour came: 4-5pm when all the bars opened. I quickly went in to as many bars as I could and here's a breakdown of good and bad:

Angels: Crap avoid at all costs

Tom Cat: O.K. there was a hot chick called Barbie but she had braces so I said forget it.

Las Vegas: Honestly I spent all my time chatting with a cherry girl and getting a message, although if I had to guess there was a decent selection and the place was big (although all the girls were on a round stage and they didn't move too much so you had to walk around to see all of them). The cherry girl told me she was looking for a husband straight up and kept trying to make dates with me (what are you doing tomorrow, want to go dancing with me etc.) She was real sweet, if I was looking for a wife she'd be a candidate but instead I left (didn't want any drama)

The Club: I was the only customer in here and the girls were too busy talking to each other to notice me. Had the worst vibe out of all the places.

Brown Sugar: Kinda ironic this was the first and only place I saw a bunch of black guys, not sure where they went but I never saw them again. Saw nothing I liked and moved on...

Bunny Ranch: This place was great, big with lots of girls. I sat at a table full of waitresses and they wouldn't leave me alone (would you like a message, would you like to barfine me, etc). Finally I saw a hottie and called her down. She immediately starting chatting with all the waitresses, laughing and gossiping. Turns out she was a cherry and she started joking about how a Japanese offered her 300,000 pesos and she still refused him. But she said she wanted me to take her cherry for only 50,000 pesos (I guess 100,000 is normal). Umm no thanks off to the next bar.

Kitten Club: Tons of girls in here and I felt like I should take someone out but I didn't. By then all the girls started looking the same. For some reason this place was always empty, not sure why...

Cambodia Club: Large 2 story place with tons of chicks. Average quality though...

Blue Nile Executive: The chicks are damn close to you if you sit in the front but I was surprised by how shy these girls were. Lots of feet shuffling in here, quality wasn't that great...

Blue Nile: Great place and I called 2 girls down but they were just too dull (dumb and no personality). Later I talked to the mama-san and she told me only 2 girls (out of like 40-50) did NOT have a child, everyone else had at least one kid (no birth control there I guess).


By then it was 11pm and I started bar hopping around 1pm. I realized I ate nothing in that time and was getting desperate for a chick so I went back to La Bamba to get my girl. Nope she out drinking. Then I went back to Cambodia since the mama-san told me she had 2 new girls that night. I asked for them: one was taken but the other was available. For some unknown reason I took her without looking at her too well (it was kinda dark) and realized back in my room that she was older (27 years old) and had 3 kids!!! Damn, the session was o.k. but I could've done much better, that was the worst night of my trip...

The La Bamba girls name is Carol and she is a hottie but is starting to realize that cute thin girls are starting to become a rarity in AC and is turning into a business girl. Sweet girl but has been working too long and is getting a bit jaded and turning into a player. Not many true players in AC compared to Thailand and I don't deal with her any more.

The girl at Bunny Ranch that was bragging about high cherry fees is likely not a true cherry. Contrary to what jaded expats tell you, most of the real cherry girls are easy to spot and are real cherry girls but this girl was way too outspoken about selling her cherry to be a true cherry. A cherry girl would never come out front bragging about selling her cherry and then asking if you want to make a bid.

Nice report. You fail to mention if while mongering you were solo or with buds? I plan to visit AC in Dec (2nd trip) and will be solo. If I remember correctly, AC is not like BKK where you can go wondering off by yourself late at night.

Seems I ended up wandering from bar to bar very late at night alone on many nights as Epi would pull his usual entourage into his room for pics and debauchery and I was left trying to find a girl I liked who was cherryless. Not easy for me as it turned out.
Anyway I never felt unsafe or threatened in any way. At least around Fields area. Probably would not recommend walking around Perimeter area alone in wee hours though.

Ya I stumbled around fields many a time solo and never felt threatened at all. Nevertheless, alway use a little commonsense and be aware of your surroundings.

I just finished the next part of my "adventures". The first 3 days (which are covered here) I was solo but friendly to guys that I met in bars so made some fast friends. I never felt unsafe but I only stayed in the fields area which is like a 2 block radius. Your always safe in a go-go...

I hate to be a pessimist, but. I have been to Bkk, pattaya, chaing mai and other places in Thailand many times. I have been thinking about a trip to PI but the girls in this report all looks like skags to me except for the La Bamba girl.

I am in Pattaya right now, and perhaps my taste are untypical. However, I must say that I am really disappointed in the looks of the vast majority of Isaan girls on the market here. Outside of the very top Go Go bars, which are stocked with very hot women, (but even more stacked with sausages lining up to poke them)you really have to shift through a lot of coal to find a diamond in all other venues. I more easily find approachable good looking enthusiastic girls in AC. I must say I am pretty dissapointed in the fat unattractive girls I see everywhere, and I have been getting uniformally bad lays outside of Soi 6. Also, the are so many older gals working the scene relative to AC. I am actually a guy who appreciates a little experience, but there are way too many 27 year old and up women working the scene in Pattaya.

On the other hand, I am still having a great time getting massages, eating good food, and my room and pool are great at Sabai Lodge. Tourist infrastructure is really good here.

Also, I have been hanging alot with Khun Mor, Don Marco, and walkingdude. I will say that these guys do seem to be babe magnets and seem to have little to complain about.

Also, I can't believe the skanks I see some of the long time stay westerners are shacking up and in some cases starting families with. In Indonesia the long timers always have absolutely fine looking local GF and wives.

But I must close with this piece of wisdom I think of when I get a little jaded living in Asia. It's great to be in a place where my drink bill is cheap but it still more expensive than the price of getting laid.
