I left AC with my buddies around noon and didn't get to my hotel in Makati until 3pm, the traffic was just horrible. But my hotel was great: it was the Oxford Suites in Makati and I stayed in the Executive room for only $33 thanks to Asiatravel. As a side note my flight left at 10pm so I needed a late checkout but they charged me the normal price of $55 so book all your days through asiatravel. The room was huge and really the nicest room I've ever stayed at in a third world country (which isn't saying much since I tend to stay at places like Nana hotel). Either way I'd stay here again no problem. Since it was still early afternoon we decided to hit the malls. Now in Manila there isn't too much to do EXCEPT go to the mall. Depending on which one you go to determines if you can pick up girls there. So if you go to the big mall in Makati it looks nice but good luck picking up girls there (those girls already have money). We went to Harrison mall which is more local and very run down. You can find girls upstairs just standing around waiting for you to pick them up. You must watch out for the underage factor and the pimp factor at these places. Underage is self explantory but these ugly pimps (I met one who had 6 fingers on one hand so I guess some are mutants) will approach you to find girls. Avoid these guys since you can just find them yourself, you really don't need a middleman. If you have a cell phone you can talk to groups of girls and just get their numbers for later dates. Watch out though we met some that worked at hostess bars and just wanted us to go to their place of business (we guessed they were sent out to bring guys in). Also as an aside if you go here avoid the video game vendors, I got a bunch of PC games and none of them worked, but the movies were fine.

Well after chatting with some girls and getting some phone numbers we headed out Ermita to check out LA Cafe. Traffic in Manila (at least during the weekend) was horrible. I recommend getting a hotel near where you think you'll spend most of your time, avoid the taxis if you can. The drivers won't turn on their meters unless you tell them and then they demand a tip on top of that. No big deal though, just tell them you'll tip them well; then get out and give them whatever you feel like. Drop the cash on the seat after you get out and just walk into whatever building your going to (these guys are scammers so don't feel guilty about jipping them). Traffic was so bad that we ditched the cab a few blocks from LA Cafe and checked some smaller places on the way their (I wouldn't recommend this unless your with a group of guys since Ermita isn't that great). I forgot the names but one place seemed only for Japanese (I'm a white guy) which cost P2000 pesos for a girl and all you can drink, kinda like a KTV but no singing and in one big room. If you want to take a girl home you have to discuss it with the girl. Since that place only had Japanese I'm sure it would be pricey but the girls were really good looking. Eventually we made it to LA Cafe and it was wall to wall girls. Ugly girls seem to appear out of nowhere and they wouldn't leave your table. I recommend you just wander around until you see a girl you like. Watch out for the pimps. Similiar to Harrisan they're just middlemen and are unneeded as you can just go up to the girls themselves. Some of my buddies liked it and ended up getting some girls out of there so I recommend everyone to just check it out if in town. After this we went to EDSA and went into every club (there's only maybe 8 places). Honestly no club really stood out girl wise, all had a few hotties and lots of average girls. Quality was definitely higher then in AC but your paying way more (not sure if the girls are 3 times better looking but you pay 3 times as much). I liked the Firehouse, Space Girls and the Cotton Club. Lady drinks are expensive (over 300 pesos if memory serves) so I just called the girls down to chat with no drinks. These places also have girls on the rag so you must ask (the hottest girl in the Cotton Club was on the rag and man was I pissed). After checking all the places out I went to one of the better ones (I think it was Firehouse...It was next to Spacegirls on the left side if anyone knows) and picked a hottie in about 5 minutes. When she asked for a lady drink I offered a bar fine and negotiated with the mamasan for the price. She wanted 3,000 but I lowered it down to 2,000 and took her back to my place. I must of had some Viagra residue becuase I just kept going and going. I was so long that she thought I was drunk. Well at last I finished and she just collapsed; which gave we a good chance to do some pillow talk. Turns out she was 20 and already had a kid. She told me rubber use was rare for the locals and the pill was outlawed (not sure if that's true but it is a Catholic country). Bottom line: There's a good chance you'll get a girl who has a kid in the PI.

Well the next day we wandered the mall again and then decided to check out some casas. These are like KTV's in that your in a room surrounded by girls and you choose you one. But these girls stay the whole night (unlike the go-go's which are mainly short time). There are no signs and these places are in the shadier places. We just asked taxi drivers if they knew where they were until we found a guy who did. He took us to 3 which where the largest and the girls were mostly average with some real cuties around. These places are a bit freaky though: No signs on the doors, you walk through 2 sets of doors that are locked from the inside and are seated on some crappy couches. Then a bell in ringed and all the girls come out and stair at you/wave. Interesting to have 30+ girls just staring at you, like a Thailand soapy. All talks are with the pimp in the room and you pay him, not the girl. Well I grabbed one for 2,500 (I heard it cost 3,000 + for japanese but just tell them you were there before and that you only paid 2,500). Only problem was it was early (around 6pm) so I just left her in my room to check out the Makati clubs. I hit every club and man oh man are those chicks hot. The best by far was the Flamingo bar, tons of hot chicks. Man I wanted to take some out but I had a girl up in my room already (it was funny but I felt like I was cheating on my whore). The prices are damn expensive: most places wanted 3,000 plus tip. When I asked how much for a tip they said 1,500 if your cheap but they liked 3,000. That's 6,000 for 1 girl, one shot!!! But some places had rooms on premises rooms so you didn't have to take them back to your room. I was there on a Saturday night and was the only customer in most of the bars, I think the most guys I saw outside my friends were like 5-6 guys. Bottom line these places were empty. I suggest just getting a girls number and meet them after work, there's a small chance your girl will be barfined. If you don't want a hassle you can take a girl out for 4,000 - 5,000 realistically. You've got to pay for quality. Well after spending 4 hours barhopping (with many free lap dances in between) I went back to my room to find my chick sleeping with the TV. Time to wake up!!! Well my last day had me in the mall (again) and then I decided to pick up a Makati girl right before my plane left at 10pm. Problem is that most girls aren't at work yet and those that are are not that good looking. But I was in a hurry so hit all the open bars and grabbed the first decent looking one. Nice report, I have had a couple layovers in Manila. I usually start off at EDSA and venture about. I find myself always returning to EDSA afterward as prices can get pretty steep and girl quality varies a bit when in unknown turf. There's always a hottie to be had in EDSA tho.

If you want a cheaper bar fine on Burgos st. go to Mogambos, Banditos, Wild West or flamingo. The bar fine is 1000 peso plus 3 ladies drinks(1900 peso total). The tip I pay is 1000 to 1500 depending on performance. The cheapest barfine in this area is Foxy's at 1000 peso.
