Chapter 4- A day at the malls and a night with 4 pooyings
My girl woke me up for some morning sessions early on. Most Thai girls are a little more horny in the morning. We took a shower together and I decided to take the liberty of shaving away any pubic hairs left on the runway. She felt uncomfortable and felt it looked like a little girl. I like the smoothness of it and it creates less friction with a condom. Not to mention, it makes papaya eating smooth and clean.
We checked into the Omni for about 1600 baht a night for a 1 bedroom suite. This was the best price I have received because I let my girl do the negotiating in Thai.
I then came up with the dumb idea of taking her kids to MBK mall to play video games and eat at their food court. We picked them up in the taxi and they were wired. They kept yelling, "sanuk gup koon.." or "fun with you" and were excited that I wanted to take them out because their mom had decided long ago that the boy was way too out of hand to take back to the mall and they were rarely taken there anymore.
The mall is huge but is comprised mostly of cell phone stores and gold stores. The booths are small and there are fewer chain stores available. I bought some books at the book store by Christopher Moore ( a must read for Thai mongers). At the video arcade, the games were 10 baht each for the large active games and 5 baht for the smaler ones. I gave them a hundred baht each and they went nuts (about $2.25). Their mom usually gives them 25 baht. The girl was actually better at the driving game than the boy, even though she struggled to reach the peddles. They thought it was funny that I was playing video games right beside them.
As we were ready to eat, my girl and her daughter had to use the restroom. The boy kept pestering me to give him more money to play games and would not listen to the word no. He then tried to get me to buy him some things at the DragonBall Z store. It wasn't expensive but the kid kept telling me that it wasn't expensive for me because I had money (Oh yeah, we Americans are rich). His mom returned and he was throwing a fit. As we were walking to the escalators...he bolted. I was frozen. Not my kid. I looked at my girl and she was at a loss for words. I then, put my head down and chased after him.
MBK is a mall full of Thai people. About 95%. They were in awe as they witnessed a tall falang chasing this small Thai boy throughout the mall. I caught him and put him over my shoulders. We were the center of attention in the mall. They probably thought I was kidnapping him or something. My girl started screaming at him in Thai and we were off to the court. The little girl was starting to become very attached to me...she's my favorite. I could see the concern in her mother's eyes that the girl and boy could get attached and then I would leave..who in their right mind would want to be with a Thai girl with two kids. The boy mellowed out a bit but took off several more times. Nothing more funny than seeing a falang attempting to scold a young Thai kid in the Thai languge....."Ya tum na..Ya tum na" "Ma tee nee" etc. I now know why the boy is banned from the mall. As the mom was telling the boy that he was just given his last chance, he started yelling at his mom and tears were rolling down his eyes. This was not part of the plan.
After dropping the kids off to the caretaker, we proceeded back to the hotel to organize a dinner with her three best friends. We picked them up at her friends house in Bangkapi and went to a local Thai restaurant. I was the only falang in the place and the place was pretty reasonable (I think the bill was about 1300 baht, including beer). The place looked very modern and had artwork of local artists all around.
Her three friends grew up with her and had never worked in "the" industry. They were all very hot. All of them were raised in BKK and had that medium-tone skin that is prevalent in girls whom grow up in Central Thailand. Not too dark and not too light. It was fun to speak to several different girls in Thai and it was great practice. They were flirting a little bit and it was not bothering my girl at all. Here I was eating flaming hot food and I could not stop fantasizing about getting them all back to my hotel for a soire. Any time that I would pay too much attention to one of her friends, I would feel a pinch under the table from my girl.
Afterwards, we all went drinking and dancing at a club called Narcissus (I think). The drinks were very expensive and I was the one to pay...of course. It was fun dancing with 4 girls in the middle of a very nice club. One of the girls whom took a fancy to me (I think) kept asking me to dance with her alone and I accepted. She kept asking me if I really liked my girl and what life was like in the U.S...etc. My girl was a little unnerved but it seemed as though these girls were trying to test if I was a butterfly. As if my girl was setting this whole thing up as a test. Would I ask any of them for their number? Was I easily swayed by other beautiful women? I guess I passed because my girl was all over me when we got back to the room.
Later on in the night I woke up from insomnia. I woke my girl up and gave her the talk. I said, "Look. If you can handle a guy that likes to be friendly and flirt with other girls, then you will have no problem with me. I'm not gonna hook up with other girls when I have a girlfriend. (We hadn't discussed our status yet) This is me and I'm never gonna change." She pouted a bit but wanted some assurance that I would tell her about other girls and that she did not want to force me to be her boyfriend. I told her that we have to take it slow and that I need space and time to make big decisions. She understood. She had no choice.....
