There has been a lot posted in regards to the Hinodecho Station area, so I will be brief. I will try to explain a little bit better how to find it. I did a recon mission during the day and could not find it, and only found it with the help of a taxi cab driver at night, so here goes...

I forgot the name of the line (great start, huh?), but start off at the Yokohama Station. Hang out for about an hour and look at all the Japanese babes to get you nice and horny. Just have a piece of paper that simply says "Hinodecho Station" - any clerk in Yokohama Station will point you to the proper (train, not standing) line. If you want a head start, enter Yokohama Station from the street, turn to your right and start to walk towards the shops. There will be a staircase on your left that is rather wide and goes down. When you get to the bottom, go to the last area on your left, and start showing your paper to the nice train folks.

Now when you are on the proper train, it will be your second stop from the Yokohama Station. Simply get off and walk to the street and face traffic. Walk directly across the street and stop. Look to your right, now start walking in that direction. You'll notice that the train line will cross the street and you'll walk under it. After you have walked under the train line, take your first available left turn up a side street. You'll notice that you are coming to the train line again, and when you do, turn right and walk along the train tracks that are above you. Voila, you're there! If you reach a canal that you must cross, you went about 100 feet too far. At this point, you can also follow the hords of Japanese and American military men walking there. At night, they will be standing in their doorways, and the action goes on for about another 5-6 blocks up the road.

Now that you're here, you'll find about 60% Thais, 20% Colombians, and the other 20% a Chinese/Russian/Japanese mix. Expect the Japanese and some of the Chinese to ignore you. Expect 25% of the Thais to ignore you. And the remaining Thais, Colombians, and Russians to be friendly. Don't take it personal - what I do is walk around like the guy in the Enzyte commercial, cause no matter what, I'm probably packin' the largest package on the street. NOw the girls here quote 10,000 Yen, about 100 dollars. Be aware that there are several alleys to your right, and you will find more girls down them - and the alleys usually work their way back to the street. The girls here would not budge lower than 10,000 Yen.

However, Right on the other side of the track is a smaller version of this main street and it runs for about three blocks. Here, they start out at 8,000 Yen, and that can be negotiated down some. Now, there were only a tired looking Russian girl here and the rest were average looking Thais. I managed to find a cutie Thai wearing one of those Japanese schoolgirl outfits. She did her job strictly on the clock for $6,000, but took a lot of pride in her work, and had a great personality. So for what it is, it worked out well.

And what is it? It's a no-nonsense Amsterdam/Tijuana type scene designed for the value-minded bloke while in Japan. Outside of the Pink Salons in Tokyo or a regular girlfriend, this is as cheap as it gets in Japan. It's low-dollar, short-time, high-volume - if you go there for anyting else, you'll probably be dispappointed, but as always, YMMV.

I saw some of the Colombians and Russians at Gas Panic later around 4:00 AM. That's a hip-hop dance club chain in Japan. It's cool to go there once and see all the girls grinding their asses against the younger lads. If you go, choose Thursdays night when all drinks are 400 Yen, all night long.

Here's a mistake I learned the hard way. Don't let the Colombians know you speak Spanish. The first thing I did was find the cutest Colombian I could, and started talking to her in her native language almost fluently. At first, she accused me of being from Argentina. 100% attitude change. For some reason, they could care less that you can speak Spanish, have been to Bogota, Cali, blah, blah - and as a matter of fact, it puts them in a bad way for some reason. So when I could see that we were going downhill, I said, heheh...

Defconsul: But the Colombian Girls in Bogota are only $40-50 for a couple of hours, sometimes all night!

Colombiana: This isn't Bogota.

Smartass. Well, I didn't go to Japan to bag Colombians anyway, so it worked out well. But in hindsight, I would find a small group of them (they tend to hang in groups of 2-3) and I would try to talk to them in English (which they understand in varying degrees, FYI), and listen to what they say about you to their friends ;->

Peruvians reported, but I saw none.

Defconsul out...

One thing to add. It is the second stop from Yokohama station on the local. If you get on the express train, it does not stop at Hinodecho. I can't remember how you differentiate between the trains, although I believe one way is to look at the electronic board that announces the incoming trains to see whether or not the next one is going to be an express.

Hey DefConsul, great info on the Hinode-cho update. I posted directions to Hinode-cho in chat several years ago for a guy who is no longer on the board, but that info will fill in what you couldn't remember. Here they are:

"At Yokohama (Station), you'll need to exit the ticket gates, go to the ticket machines for the Keihin Kyuko rail line (Keihin is a private rail company, separate from JR) and buy a ticket for Hinode cho. I think they call it the Keikyu line. Anyway, Hinode-cho is only the second stop out of Yokohama station.

From this point, forgive my somewhat vague directions. If I remember correctly, there is only one exit at Hinode-cho station. You'll come out and you'll be facing a major street. Turn right, and walk about 400 yards or so. Across the street, you should see the elevated rail line parallel to you. You can cross the street at any time, as all the fun stuff essentially lies underneath the rail tracks. After you go about 400 yards, turn left into any side street/alley, and start looking for small alleys that run parallel to the main street, under the rail tracks. The Hinode-cho red light district lies between the train tracks and the river. When you start seeing lots of red lanterns hanging outside of tiny cabins and houses, you know you've made it. You should also start seeing lots of women hanging outside the doors."

Thanks for the great report DefCounsul. Japan sounds expensive, but still intriguing. I Didn't know they had Colombianas in Japan, but I did run into a gal in CTG who used to work in Japan.

Also, were you able to hookup with any non-pro girls that offer up services for spending money?

By Defconsul on Thursday, September 09, 2004 - 10:02 pm:  Edit

No, I was not. I wasn't there long enough, and my play hours were reduced because of my work schedule. My general feeling on those opportunities is that they would be rare. Even though they are sexually liberated, they have some money - it is not third-world by any means, and their economy, while going through a rough time, isn't really all that bad. Was that the most diplomatic way to say "Japan isn't Latin America" you've ever heard? hahaha. I have no doubt that regular girl action, strictly out of attraction or intrigue would happen if you spend some time there - interracial (american-brit/japanese) couples are quite rampant there.
