Prices at termas and agencies as advertised. Make sure you agree taxi fare before you ask her to come to your place.
Always take taxis at night even if it’s a short walk. They will rip you off but it’s safer.

There’s no getting round the taxi commission at termas unless you stop well before. Once the drivers know you’re going to termas they will park the car and ask the termas for commission.

Ipanema has better shopping than Copa. Sometimes same item cheaper, many times about 5% more.

Do not forget to explore the inner streets. Many a good restaurant and shop are to be found.

As much as I love DATY I’m not taking that risk anymore unless it’s a GF( tested) or a reputable terma girl as I believe they are tested every 2 weeks.

Lastly, I’m in lovelust with a garota. I broke the 3X rule, gave her more money than I should have and promised her heaven. Now I’ve got a lot of saudade and regrets. Try not to tread that path.
