Just returned from 2 nts in HK, 5 nts in Phuket, and 2 nts in HK. Wanted to set forth my general schedule and provide the more important details. Feel free to respond with questions comments. I'm going to report on HK first, then Phuket in a separate report.

Day One - arrive HK via UAL 805 at 7:45 pm. take airport express train to Kowloon station ($90HK) and take cab to Intercontinental ($70HK - lots of traffic). arrive hotel at 9pm, shower, proceed to Wanchai and eat at Old China Hand. Go to Club Hawaii (just doors from Old China Hand) and then to Country Club and Country Club 88 (which was totally dead with ugly girls). Those are the pricey girl bars. Moved on to the freelancer bars (La Bamba and Neptune II). It was still before midnight (Friday) and not alot of action in the freelancer bars. Went back to Country Club and bought out two filipina gals - despite the outrageous prices ($7,000HK for two). It was day one and I was ready to celebrate. Hit La Bamba to do some dancing with my two new friends. took them back to hotel and had some good action before bed and in the am (no lesbo action). didn't tip them any money but gave them 100hk for taxi. they left about 11am.

Day Two - after gals leave, hang by the pool at Intercontinental (the old Regent on Kowloon side) and nap in the afternoon. Go to local HK guy's place for a few beers about 7 and end up at Club Hawaii about 10. My buddy and I each buyout a gal ($3,000HK each) and proceed to La Bamba for some dancing. better crowd than the night before and we regret that we didn't go the freelancer route to save a bit of money. pretty good talent on sat night. after La Bamba we hit Strawberry, another bar dance club which is open until 9 in the am. got back from strawberry at about 3:30am. knocked around in a bed for awhile, slept for about four hours, and took cab to airport train at 9 to catch my 11:30 flight to Phuket (nonstop, 3:30 minute flight on Thai).

Days 3 thru 7 in Phuket, will report separately.

Day 8 - arrive back in HK about 7:30 pm, take airport train again and taxi (this time the taxi was only $30hk). shower at hotel (same one). Meet some friends in Lan Kwai Fong at a bar/restaurant called Beirut. Pretty good food there, always tastes good and never feel any ill-effects. I was pretty damn happy with my previous selection at Club Hawaii so I moved on down there about 11 or so. it was a little later this time (probably 12 by the time I said "i'll take her") so cost was $2,500 but naturally I got nailed for two lady drinks and ended up about $3,000 anyway (talking HK dollars throughout this post). did the same deal again - la bamba followed by strawberry. didn't get out of strawberry until about 5. had know clue it was so late and had a great laugh with room service when i got back to hotel. "Hello, this is mr lee in room #_, I'd like to order the sirloin steak (from late dining menu)". "Mr Lee, so sorry, but we are now serving breakfast" Wow !!!!!! That was a knew one for me. couldn't deal with that and just moved in to enjoy with the gal. got good service before bed and again before she left.

Day 9 - had room service for lunch after my gal left and slept all day. back to lan kwai fong for dinner at beirut and back to club hawaii to get my gal again. just couldn't help it, when you get a good one, you got to stick with her. it was saturday and La Bamba was really cranking with freelancers. I was with four other guys and they all went with the freelance gals - mostly thai and filipino. pricing ranges from $1,000 HK to $2,000HK. The hottest of the four gals asked for $2,000HK but my buddy ended up paying $1,300HK the next day. You don't have to settle upfront so you get a little extra leverage the next day. As far as procedure, depends on your personality. Pick up can be done (i) hi, i need a date for tonight, would you like to join me ?, (ii) would you like to dance ? and (iii) can i buy you a drink. any one will work just fine and the gal will probably ask you "for date" if you use (ii) or (iii). like the bars in TJ, all the girls are working girls. just need to be careful that you talk to one that isn't already taken (guy might be in bathroom or something). From my experience, La Bamba is the best for freelancers(Neptune II was weak and Strawberry started way too late - no real crowd until 2). La Bamba crowd begins to get good between midnight and 1am.

As we all know, HK is real expensive. Even spending $1,500 HK on a freelancer isn't cheap. One bonus about paying extra for a bar girl is that you know where they work. My HK buddies say they haven't had problems with freelancers but you never know. Sometimes better to spend an extra few bucks for certainty.

This report is not too different than my last one from Feb 2001. HK is a great place to party with a gal but be ready to spend btwn $600 and $900 per day depending on freelancer/bar girl and your choice of hotel. Start your night in Lan Kwai Fong and head into Wanchai about 11 or 12, find a gal, and hit the late night disco joints. The girls are happy to stay fairly late into the next day and seems to be more fun to hang with them for awhile rather than go straight back to hotel. I think you get a little better attitude from them that way.

Hope this helps those headed to HK soon. The four days I spent there were some of the best nights I've had in Asia but also the most expensive. Will get to phuket shortly.

p.s. didn't try mongkok area, my hk buddies never go there at all. one of the guys lives in that area and still goes to wanchai for his gals. difference being massage/quick action versus getting a date for the night.

Mongkok / Prince Edward / Sham Shui Po - rates are around HK$250 - 400. Most girls are from China and don't speak any English but are eager to please regardless
