This was my first trip back to Colombia since I was “outed” by someone, or some guys, among us (probably inadvertently) with some girls in two different cities in Colombia. Some heady stuff as the girls in one city work for a website that's supposedly connected to some less than upstanding Colombian citizens. Until I called one of the website gals, I never knew Spanish curse words could be conjugated into so many different tenses, verbs, adjectives, past perfect, present perfect, etc. (my Spanish Teacher is turning over in his grave right now)…the pissed off girl must have been a linguist before taking up whoring.
Naturally, I was hesitant to revisit Colombia, or to post future TRs and pics from this country. But being the glutton for punishment that I am, I soon found myself in CTG (I’m in transit home now), or more specifically, at my CTG hotel to be exact, pondering these thoughts on my first day when I stepped into a pile of catharsis --- FIGHT THE POWER…FIGHT THE POWER.. THEY KILLED RADIO RAHEEM.… Spike Lee’s movie “Jungle Fever” was playing on TV and I was captivated. The defiance, the riots, the power.. .the "don’t take no shit from no one attitude!" Just what I needed. This moment was for me, fight the power….fight the losers who outed me…have the last laugh Merlin. The next thing I knew, I was in a taxi heading out to one of my favorite hangouts in CTG where I knew for a fact that one of the girls there was told by someone that I had posted pics of her on the internet. She didn’t return my calls recently, but my Spike Lee induced bravado forced me to go see her.
FIRST ENCOUNTER AFTER THE MELTDOWN
One of my all time favorite GFEs, and possibly the most stunning girl I’ve come across in my travels, works at my favorite casa in CTG, the Casa De Marinero Bar (I’m naming this bar for a purpose). I had to go back to this casa to see what I could salvage, I never failed to have an incredible time with these girls every time I visited.
I went there with a local Colombia guy, someone whom I consider a good buddy now, Luis Lara (home #6610508) [Sidenote, if you need a guide who will cover your back and show you around, this guy is it, he’s knowledgeable, well connected but kind of expensive.] As I walked down the small hill and in towards the bar/dance hall, several girls were outside eyeing us. My palms were a bit sweaty and I could’ve sworn my heart was palpitating at this point, but if I transgressed in any manner, I needed to make good somehow. Several girls kept watching us as we seated ourselves, I noticed one girl going outside. Another girl recognized me from before and came up to me and said that the owner Jacklyne really wanted to speak with me and that she’ll call her on her cellphone right away. Well, here it comes I thought. A few minutes later, out comes my GFE we’ll call “J”. She sits near me, a bit askance, and without so much as a “hola”, she launches into a question: “Es Mi photo en El Internet” [Is my photo on the internet?} After a hefty gulp, I knew I had to come clean with the girl. In my best high school Spanish I confessed my transgressions and then explained to her that it was meant to be “privado” and “exclusivo” and "solo, solo, solo por bien mi amigos”. I then attempted to explain the security features of our site and that it wasn’t like the free for all picture posting done on other sites [actually Luis had to help me here]. As I tried to explain to her the concept of a “Judas Iscariot at the last Supper" amongst us, my GFE J interrupts me, and then proceeds to floor me with a follow up question: “Que Dicen tu amigos?” [What do the guys say about my photos] As I picked my jaw up off the floor, I babbled something about how well received her pictures were by “mi amigos exclusivo” and that “J eres una chica mas bonita en toda el mundo” [you’re the hottest thing since sliced tortilla]. Her look of concern turns to a big smile, she closes in on me, and places a giant kiss that sent chills and tremors down my spine. "Seguro, mi amore, no problema" [kitchen pass!!]. Next thing I know, the other girls gather around and the drinks start flowing. A few minutes later, the owner comes back to the casa to see me, and she runs over to me with a smile, “Sr. Merlin, muchos, muchos gracias por ‘presentar’ tus amigos” [thanks for referring me so many friends. I had to have my friend translate for me on this one just to be sure what I heard]. The owner, Jacklyne, tells me that at least eight big-spending Hombres have visited the casa/bar since my report. Then she does the inexplicable and sends me over a big Don Medellin bottle (rum) and then proceeds to push about 50 business cards into my shirt pocket for my “muchos otros amigos”. And the rest, as they say, is history…here's to the "outers' Merlin has had his revenge...

Alas my friends, Winnie Churchill uttered the famous words …We Have Nothing To Fear But Fear Itself….BUT LET ME ADD: PLEASE PATRONIZE THE BARS AND CASAS IN MY REPORT BUT DON’T FUCK’IN SHOW or TELL THE GIRLS THAT THEY HAVE THEIR PICTURES ON THE INTERNET….COMPRENDE MI NEWBIE HOMBRE. Oh, btw, just make sure you mention that “Big John” aka Merlin sent you so I can get more free rum bottles.
Well, this takes me back to my original thought. I’ve come to the conclusion that I'm not gonna let a few loose cannons ruin my fun, most of the guys I've met on this board have been outstanding individuals to a man. And part of the fun is infusing info on this board for like-minded guys and posting some pics of some lovelies. I know many on this board don’t read my reports, and some on this board are downright malicious when it comes to nailing my pics. But the bottom line is, I was surprised that I was able to send some business to this awesome casa and bar, and just as pleased to know that the guys that do read the TRs make it all worthwhile for me. Just as importantly, when I was a newbie many moons ago, making my first trip to Costa Rica, then Thailand, I cannot tell you how many lame questions of mine were answered by the vets with patience and panache’ and how much anguish they saved me. I obviously benefited tremendously from the vets and I’ll never forget that…in fact, one post I remember well… one vet simply stated to me: “thank us by posting your reports and pics.” I would be remiss if I didn't accomplish what I said I would accomplish as a way of thanking the vets that came before me.
There's a few things I may do differently, however, I will try not to post the girls' real names. Nor will I post during a trip or before a trip. I will cut down on the Nudie pics and those I deem postable will be sent to Hombre for processing and posting at his discretion.
Now, all I need is to find a way to get my ass over to another Colombian city to make further amends with girls who have access to guns...wish me luck.
