this is the first time i have posted on here. for the last three months I have lived in Rio de Janeiro. i have also traveled to buzios, recife, costa de sauipe, florianopolis, curitiba, sao paulo and salvador. Overall I have probably spent about 6 months in rio. I could write a book about the sex scene and other interesting things about rio as I am sure a lot of other people here can. Right now I will give you my personal favorites. First of all I have been to help, pataca, barbarella, franks, solarium, Quattro por Quattro (four by four), centaurus, luomo, and monte carlo. There are a few others around but these are the main hot spots for women. As a general rule I pay the girls as follows and would encourage all of you to do the same so as to keep the prices moderate. For non-terma girls (help, pataca, barbarella), I pay from 200-300 reais per night (not for three hours, but for the whole night). For hot terma girls, I will pay up to 400 reais per night (or per day if I travel with them which I did often). For the uglier termas girls I will pay from 250-300 per night. First for my favorite beach spots and restaurants, then onto the girls. The best beach spots are in ipanema around posto 9 (no prostitutes here) and right across from the copacabana palace and also across from pataca (prostitutes here). My favorite restaurants are porcao (number one by far, 45 reais per person for porcao ipanema plus drinks, desserts, etc. which they push very hard). Also good are tanaka (japanese in lagoa), guapo loco for mexican, arab (on the strip) for arab, guanabara for pizza, and galetos for chicken. Onto the women. I have slept with about 150 women in rio. I have travelled with them, lived with them, had up to 7 at once, and had at least two most of the time, with one or more living with me (as a side note, if you fall in love with a girl and want her to have sex with only you, you need to support her. i did this for a few months with 3 or 4 girls. 2000-3000 reais per month is enough for them to pay for school, buy clothes, etc. give money to their families, and everything else they need. the top girls at the termas make up to 7-8000 reais per month, but most make 3000 per month.) At this point I have the phone numbers for about 75 of the hottest girls in rio, and mostly if I want a new girl I will go with their friends, but in the beginning what I would do is this: Go to help. Help is an ok place to go. I do not like it anymore and don't go there much. The reason is because you find the poorest girls there who are most likely to have diseases and steal from you. also, if they screw you over, you most likely will never see them again. many of the girls at help used to work at termas but were forced to leave due to std's. I couldn't even tell you the amount of times I went to help with girls from termas and all of their friends were there who "used" to work at the terma. Terma girls are the best (by far I believe solarium and centaurus are the best, although they are a bit more expensive. for me, being in centaurus is like being in the playboy mansion.) I have sex with girls in the termas but my preference is to go to a terma, get numbers from 4 or 5 girls, and call them later to come over to my house for the whole night for 400 reais (at centaurus for example, you pay 300 reais to get in, and this includes one girl for one hour, for 100 reais you could have the girl for the entire night in your place, to me this is a no brainer if you like the girl). On many occasions I asked the girls from the termas to travel with me, take a day off, etc. remember that most of the girls have to pay from 50-200 reais if they don't go to work (unless they are very good friends with the donna, or house mama or whatever, otherwise they need a medical excuse) so usually you will have to pay them this on top of whatever their fee is. This is where the help girls are better. Most of them are from other cities (where they have a kid that their mom is taking care of and a boyfriend who can't afford to support them). They come to rio for a few months at a time to make money. While they are in rio all they want to do is have a good time and make money so if you want to travel with them it is no problem, and it also costs less money. Be careful with these girls though, because many of them are from the favelas and are friends with many thieves and bandits. you might fall in love with them but remember that all they want is money at the end of the day, they have kids and families to support with their bodies and they are not afraid to screw you over if they need to (this is why terma girls are better, because if they do steal or something, you know where to find them the next day....at work! They also get tested for std’s by the terma whereas help girls are never tested unless they do it themselves). Another important point is that some of the terma girls will go to help after they get off at the terma (they all get off between 12 and 2am). They are usually the hottest girls there. These are the best girls to get at help if you can find them. The best situation you can get yourself into is where you know several girls and they look out for you so you don't have to worry about thievery, etc. I was lucky enough not to have any significant problems but there were several occasions where girls tried to get money out of me through nefarious means when I didn't pay them more than i promised (i.e. I told them I would pay 300, we screw all night and "fall in love" and then they kind of expect a bit more). I will give you a short example. One night i went home with a girl, and i didn't have any drinks. i told her to go buy some beer and liquor and gave her 100 reais. She came back with a lot of beer and liquor and the next morning she tried to pretend that I did not give her any money for the drinks (she and I both knew that I did). I argued with her and finally she relented and admitted that she had the money but "must have lost it" on the way to the store. this is the type of thing that will happen. also, the police are corrupt as hell, stay away from them. one night i was headed to hotel vips with a girl and the police stopped the taxi i was in at a roadblock (which they have all the time around rio). I only had a copy of my passport on me and they told me I needed the original. they asked me for 200 reais and I negotiated down to 50. the people I was with told me if I had not bribed them they may have planted drugs on me and taken me to jail. who knows if this would have happened but I still ended up paying 50 reais to get out of the situation. as for a budget for a trip to rio (which I see a lot of people asking about) you will need about 150-1000 reais per day for a hotel. hotel atlantico is where most guys go because they are more lax with the girls. i stayed there a while and it was fine but there are others also. if you are staying for over a week you should get an apartment. you should budget about 50-150 reais per day for food (150 is if you eat well and take a girl to dinner each night at a decent place, you can always get a combo meal at mcdonalds for around 9 reais and eat for 30 a day or less). i would budget about 10 reais per taxi ride (make sure the meter is always on, if it isn't, tell them to turn it on, this is especially a problem outside of help). also budget around 20 reais for misc snacks, beer, internet, etc. then of course you need to budget the girls. if you go to a terma each day and help each night, you will pay around 150 per 40-60 minutes with a girl at a terma, and 200-300 for a night with a girl from help (by the way, don't buy the girls at the termas red bull, it costs around 16-20 reais vs. 2-4 for a beer but they love the stuff). A few useful Portuguese words you will hear and use: safado means a man who is promiscuous, quanto is how much, no means in, agora means now, noite means night, hora means hour, and camasina means condom. also, remember guys, i have spent a lot of time with these girls and their ambition in life is to have 2 or 3 American men who send them 1000 dollars a month each and come down once a year for a week. almost every girl i met there has a "boyfriend" somewhere in the world who does this. they tell the guys they will stay home, blah blah and take their money, presents, etc. don't be this guy. know that if a girl is in rio, no matter how much money you send her, she is still going to be screwing guys at help. don't think your girl is the one who won't be. i haven't met any guys who do this but i know they are out there because the girls tell me about it and laugh at them. remember that this is their job and the more money they get from men, the better they are doing. don't be an idiot, fall in love, and spend all your money (or send them money from home). also remember that the only way these girls can get visas to america is if you marry them. Also, as for visas, i know about 10 girls who have tried to get a tourist visa and they have all failed. Another important point is that almost all of these girls have children and boyfriends (they will of course lie but I would estimate around 70-85% of the girls at help and 50% of the girls at termas have children, also, around 50% of the girls at help and the termas have real boyfriends but their boyfriends don’t make any money so they have to do this). A funny story is that one night I went with a terma girl to a concert for a popular band in town. While we were there we saw about 10 girls who she worked with at centaurus. All of these girls had told me previously that they had no boyfriend but that night they were all with boyfriends (brazilian boyfriends their age, real boyfriends). Actually, i did meet this one guy at a resort who was with a programa girl. She used to work at a terma and i knew her while she was there. i got to talking to him and he did admit to sending her 2000 usd per month to live on so that she did not have to "work" and could study, etc. the day after this guy left the girl was begging me to come over and stay with me for money, the next week I saw her in a porno on one of these websites. All this and the guy could not be more in love with her and thinks she is totally devoted. Don’t be this guy, if the girls know you are not an idiot like this they will be fair with you (as long as they are not on drugs which many of the help girls are). I think it is great that the men on here share information. The programa girls talk all the time about how to get more money, what they do with guys, etc. so it is only fair that we she information to level the playing field. ok, thats it for now, let me know if you have any questions.

Actually your best weapon against ripoff cops is to feign ignorance. Just keep repeating "I dont understand, I dont speak portugese!" Cops dont neccessarily want to TAKE money from you, they want you to OFFER it to them as a sort of bribe. When they finally realise that you dont understand a word of portugese, they will eventually lose their patience and just tell you to be on your way.

Over the past 3 years I have met a number of girls who attained visas to the US, thru unconventional means. They get work visas thru strip clubs!! I met a guy who owns 2 strip clubs in NYC and he goes to brasil every other month to recruit girls from the termas and Help.

ANother way that they come to the states is to join a nanny service. Many of them will get visas under the guise of being a nanny, once they arrive in the states, they start stripping in the club and also escorting.
