Preface
Okay. I’m addicted. This is now my third trip to Thailand, which equals my trips to Rio. I have to admit that I get a kick out of the little skirmishes that occasionally break out between the South America guys and the Asia guys. I love both meccas just about equally. The last time I went to Rio, I was kind of wishing that I was going to LoS. This most recent trip to LoS, I was nostalgic for Rio. At the end of the day, I think that if you like serious bundas and more variety in womens’ looks, you’ll prefer Brazil. However, if you’ve got “yellow fever,” there’s no place better than Thailand (haven’t been to all the Asian countries, but have been to China, PI, Macau, HK, and Taiwan). This most recent trip, we spent just about 2 weeks in LoS, mostly in Pattaya. Since I not THAT active, this report won’t be a day-by-day, blow-by-blow. Just some notes and observations.
Part I. Bangkok
Took EVA Air out of LA, through Taipei, and into Bkk. I think the airfare was just over $800 for Deluxe class, about $100 more than coach. Not so hot food, but the airline is just fine. Deluxe is supposed to be between coach and business class in terms of amenities and comfort. I’d say that it’s closer to coach, but for only $100 more, the added legroom and seat width was worth it for me. Also, out of LA, by taking EVA or China Airlines, you can take the late night flight and arrive before noon. My buddy and I arrived around 11am and went by cab to the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit. Fabulous hotel, but very pricey. On the other hand, also very girl friendly. Go in via street level, and you never have to do the walk of shame through the lobby. It’s also at a very convenient location, right by the Skytrain and subway exits, one street away from Asok.
After cleaning up and getting a bite to eat, we hit the ground running. The first place we hit was Angel massage, an oily massage place located on Sukhumvit, Soi 24/1. Just go straight down 24/1 to the end, and it’s the last storefront on the right. A very nice alternative to Barons as it’s only a block or so away. Same setup as Barons, you can either pick by looking through their book of “studio” pictures or just ask to see the lineup. Same price as Barons too: 400B, 600B, 800B for 60, 90, 120 minute massage, with tip of 1500B to the girl for FS.
That night, we went to Nana and checked out a few gogos. The place was unbelievably empty and dead. Never have I seen so few customers at Angel Witch. In some of the gogos, there were only a few guys. This might not have been a bad thing since the BGs’ attitudes seemed less haughty than it can be sometimes. Except for this one very exotic looking 19yo at AW. She said that she had just returned from San Francisco after staying there for six months on a fiancée visa. She spoke English very well and was VERY hot, but wanted 2000B for one hour at the short time place at the top floor of Nana. Pass. I ended up taking someone else from AW with a lot less ‘tude. Turned out to be the right decision too, since she was very sweet.
The next day started off kind of late, so when we hit Eden at about 2:30, the selection was pretty weak. We decided to skip and go to a soapy instead. We took a cab to Plaza Entertainment Complex, which is also the home of Cupidy. The upside of taking the cab to Plaza (main floor as opposed to Cupidy, whose entrance is in the garage), is that there is no taxi surcharge. Unfortunately, Plaza has the Farang (aka White Man) surcharge of 1000B-1500B. If you wish to skip both surcharges, take the taxi to Plaza, pretend to look around and then walk downstairs to Cupidy. Since, on this day, the selection was better at Plaza, my two friends and I chose girls out of the Plaza fishbowl and splurged by getting one of the special party rooms. For 1000B more, we got a special room for 2 hours, which had four bedrooms, a big screen TV, a living room area and a huge Jacuzzi. Kind of a fun thing, if you like hanging with your buddies before and after the soapy action. Like almost all my previous soapies, the sex itself was only just okay. Maybe it’s the lack of interaction with the girl, or maybe it’s just my bad luck, but I had never had a truly outstanding soapy experience.
One thing to keep in mind when going to a soapy is that the time of day you go is crucial. Although the most convenient time to go for most guys is the early to mid afternoon, the best selection isn’t usually available until around 6pm or so. That night, we decided to go to Mirage (no surcharges) for a late night soapy. Unfortunately for us, it was almost too late. Since it was around 9pm, we thought that the traffic would be light enough to take a cab to Mirage instead of the new subway. Big mistake. It took over an hour to get there from the Sukhumvit area. Since the soapy closes around midnight, we barely had enough time to choose from the depleted pool of women and make it upstairs. I chose a very attractive lady from the “special” model area. Once again, although she was hot, the session was good but far from spectacular. At this point, I was starting to consider committing sacrilege and forbearing from future soapies. Still, I decided to keep an open mind since a mediocre soapy is still better than no soapy at all. Next stop Pattaya.

I know what you mean about being torn between Rio and LOS. I'm going to LOS in 2 weeks but just saw my Rio pics from earlier this year and was wondering if perhaps I shouldv'e booked a Rio flight instead. I'm sure when I go to Rio in 4 months I'll be thinking of my Thai girls that I'll have for this upcoming trip. Sigh the grass is always greener on the other side...
