I headed back to Bangkok to say my final goodbyes once again prior to returning to the USA. I was in a bit of a funk the last couple days as the fact that my journey was coming to an end soon started settled in. I booked another night at the Westin and planned to basically make the rounds saying goodbye to my various friends that I met this trip. Since I had a 7AM flight, I was hoping I would make it an early night and get a good sleep…

First session
My bkk free lancer (Po) who had been SMSing and calling me throughout the week ran into me as I was strolling down Sukhumvit. She gave me a touch of an attitude since I didn’t let her know I was back, but she made amends when she asked if I wanted to head to the bedroom for a quickie. Off we went and we had another good (not great session). She had a baby, which makes for a noticeable difference when screwing with a balloon on. Anyway, we finished up and I took her for soup and a short trip to the pharmacy for some skin lotion as her payment and said our sweet goodbyes.

Session Two
Lólita's. As with Soi6 in Pattaya, Lólita's was a daily ritual that I enjoy while in BKK. I plopped my tired ass in a barstool, joked with, and bought a round for several girls that I met this trip. I decided on one that was slightly older, who I knew gave more lip than hand. She didn’t disappoint and I made a deposit 45 minutes later upstairs as me choked away. Ohhh what fun!!!! I went back downstairs and grabbed another orange juice and bought her one for a job well done!

Comment: A girl with good bbbj skills is invaluable on these trips as there are plenty of days my libito is in full bloom, but I just don’t have the energy to roll around in the bed for an hour or two. The solution: bj bars. This is the only place where I don’t really go by looks, but of course the gal has to be at least a little sexy in appearance—especially the face, since that is all I ever see J

Eden’s: stopped in and surveyed the talent. Trolls once again. Damn.


Evening bar hop
I ended up meeting KM and went to a couple Soi Cowboy bars. He had barfined a couple real hotties and I got a taste for what it’s like being ignored while tagging along (everyone figures your with one of the gals). KM had intentions of going with one and the other was a friend and along for a drink ride. I thought of making a move for the friend, but the chemistry just wasn’t there despite her friendliness and good looks. A couple times we starting talking and began holding hands (yaaa it was like a first date kinda feeling) and then some chick would walk up and start talking to me, which retracted the hands. O well, as I indicated in a previous report, you can’t buy chemistry—it’s either there or is not. In this case it was missing. I’m sure KM will retell his night masterfully, so I’ve leave this night to him. I parted ways after a little food (good eats) once Soi Cowbow closed. Although I had intentions of an early night, I decided to wonder around till 3AM. Since I had to wake up at 4:30AM, it turned out to be a sleepless last night in bkk. What did I to pass the time? Drink some green tea and ponder how to get back to LoS ASAP.

Long Ride Home
I arrived at the gate around 45 minutes early and I quickly fell asleep while reclining in the lounge. In a bout of amazing luck, I woke up exactly at the time they were having final bording--PHEW! Iran down to the gate and grabbed my business class seat on Singapore Air. SA proved once again to be heads and shoulders above the competition. The seat, service, and food were all a+. Besides a little lag while switching aircraft at NRT, my flight back to Boston was uneventful.

After moping around the house for a couple days, I succumbed to the desire to return. I booked another 3 week trip and will be back in LoS/Cambo mid dec to early January. I decided my fate was sealed when I was screwing my ABC girlfriend at home and I said to her, geez you seem so much … bigger…. Did you gain weight?? Of course she hadn’t, but even 115 pounds feels quite large when you’ve grown used to 85-90 pounders J As for her, well let’s just say we’re on borrowed time.

In planning for the next trip, I’m once again struck with candy storeitus. Can I fit in Indo, SIN, MNL, AC, PP, BKK, Pattaya? I guess I need to whittle down the list regrettably—after all 3 weeks passes so quickly! See u all in SEA!!

Laptop update: Hopefully I’ll be posting some pics of this trip soon. The laptop that served as my picture library croaked a week or so ago and I haven’t been home much since. I’m hoping the drive and contents are fine—I’ll keep u posted.

How do you explain your frequent SEA trips to your family and girlfriend? I can use some good excuses.

Work wise I am very lucky. I travel 75% of the time and basically I'm senior enough that I manage my own schedule and don't deal with anyone micromanaging me. Finding a week off here and there is quite easy. Finding 3-4 weeks is very hard. I end up trying to time lulls in demand and I also end up having to work as bit while away.... (umm 30 minutes a day).

The way I work it in is that I give my work 110% every day. But when things slow down, I make darn sure I take 110% back. So far so good. Also, last year was busy as hell so I built up a bank of 300 or so hours of vacation time + untold "comp time"

That + current acrrual (~3 hours a week) means I can take a lot of time off-- well long as I dont have weeks like this last one!

Personally speaking (family and GF), since I'm always on the road, I just say that I'm off on a business trip overseas... However, twice I have just told people that I'm going on vacation--C YA. BIG rookie mistake. My very first trip to asia alone, I told everyone I'm going Bangkok. I thought that would be fairly innocent... Nope.. Mistake.

Overall, I tolerate a fair amount of flack from family and/or girlfriends regarding my trips. It doesn't phase me in the least cept strengthen my resolve to return sooner than planned. Of course priorities come into play... I am not one for traditional relationships (date --> engage --> marriage --> kids ---> divorce), and make everyone well aware of that just so there's no confusion.

So the short version is this:

Tell people as little as possible, but when you do say something be honest.

Having a nice slush fund and plenty of FF miles helps also

I too made a BIG rookie mistake and now am much more careful in revealing my travel plans.

I envy your frequent travels. I normally travel 1-2 times annually but look forward to my early retirement in about 10 years or so and live in PI or Thailand.

Normally, I try to fit in two 2 week trips and two-three shorter 3-4 day trips. Last year I had only one 3 week trip and one 4 day trip, so I'm making up for it this year... After this next trip, I'll have to recharge the slush fund a bit as 2 months in SEA in a 3 month span tends to drain my rainy day funds.

I'm probably going to plan a 4 day trip to either rio or ctg sometime in may/june and then return to LoS for my October '05 retreat. But then again, I can't pass up good airfare deals. If I see a bargain basement air price to bkk, dus, pop, ctg, rio, mnl, etc then I hop on a plane without a second thought.
