Paris-Roissy CDG, noon time, first contact with Brazil, Varig the airline. Good service on board, nice flight, few people on the plane, mostly brazilian couples. I watched them very carefully: they like to kiss each other very often, they like to touch each other too in a very sensual manner. So I tried to find some sleep thinking that maybe I am in the right direction although I was anxious to see what will happen next once at Rio airport.

730pm, arrival at Rio. Don and his driver are there to pick me up. He immediatly proposes me to go to Monte Carlo right after I check in the studio. Although my watch shows now almost 200am and I spent 11 hours in that plane, I thought it was ridiculous that the first thing I want to do in Rio is to go to bed and sleep. No way. I am just here for one week and I want to see the action, right now. Besides that, Don told me that Sonny with whom I exchanged exciting emails a few days before my trip will join us. Let’s go to Monte Carlo.

First impression: the therma is just next door to a luxury hotel, one block from the beach, very good location. It looks like any other business : bar, club or restaurant. It is not relagated in a dirty low-scale red light area. I like that. I started my virgin trail: reception, the locker room, my first bath-robe, a quick tour of the installations, and then…paradise. In the main room, which looks like a disco, Don and I are surrounded by 30 to 40 girls almost naked. Sonny is sitting at the bar, a superb blonde garota is hanging round his neck. I will never forget that smile on Sonny’s face. At that moment the three of us are the only men in the room. Our presence seems to wake up a few girls who start singing and dancing. One is rubbing her butt against my equipment. I think it is just time to experiment my brand new abilities in portuguese. Fortunatly, Patricia speaks a little bit of english. She offers me portuguese lessons, I desesperatly needed a teacher. Let’s go upstairs.

it was so great to be there for your 1st night in rio. by the time we hooked up, i had already been to l'oumo, and had a few drinks under my belt, and was just in bliss to be back myself. i slightly indulgded myself that evening, making 3 new friends in the course of the night. but such is rio. its great to hear another perspective besides my own dillusional version. keep the reports coming.
