MACAU DAY TWO

I wake up early to the sound of drilling and hammering in the Hotel Presidente. Even this seems to be turning into another building site. I would have liked to stay in bed late but clearly there's question of that so I go out and hunt down some breakfast and decide to search out another hotel.

After taking a site-seeing trip by bus up to the Macau Tower and grabbing some lunch, I hunt down the East Asia Hotel shown on Murasaki's report on Macau. Really, if you're going to visit this place you should read his contribution as the maps and detailed information are invaluable.

The East Asia hotel is a friendly, cheap place to stay for backpackers and Chinese customers. It even has a tank of live eels in the reception area, which are gradually being reduced in number by the chef of the restaurant downstairs. After checking in during the late afternoon, I take a nap and then go for another explore as soon as night falls.

I think when Murasaki visited this part of town, girls hung out in the London and East Asia Hotels. That doesn't seem to be the case any more, but there are several brothels nearby which are not hard to find. The girls are looking out of the window of one I pass and beckon me in. They all want some action but I choose a very petite little thing called Ping who's wearing jeans and a feathery green top. She has a very cute face. We agree a price of $300 HK for her to come back to my hotel.

Thanks Herman. As I just did a ton of thorough research in Macau last week, I'll be updating my map and writing a new trip report. Indeed, the East Asia is no longer a girlie hotel; however, the London is loaded with girls. They're just not in the lobby anymore. You've got to walk up the stairs. You'll see them all hanging out on the second floor landing. The whole place is essentially a giant brothel. There must have been 40-50 working there when I sessioned this time around.
