A long, but uneventful trip back to the states leaving Dynasty Inn Pattaya noon today. The Senator wanted to check out the showers in Taipei, but they're fucking expensive. It costs NT900, approximately $27, for a three hour pass to the luxury lounge on the top floor. Since he only had an hour and a half he passed on the shower. Rooster had emailed me about an item I might like at the little store by gate C7 at the Taipei airport, but the shop was closed that late at night. By the time The Senator got back home he had strep throat that he's sure he got by some sick idiot that just HAD to travel and was willing to infect a WHOLE AIRPLANE full of otherwise healthy people who happen to have had the misfortune of traveling too. He couldn't have been more pissed because he could have stayed in Pattaya instead of home from the office on sick leave. ARGH!

The Senator never did get to meet up with Epi this trip as was planned. He did, however, get to chat with him on the phone for a bit today. He's arrived for a two month stay. Lucky bastard. I hope you never grow up, See you in the summer.

All in all, it was a marvelous trip and we know they’ll be back……man what a place!

There are free public showers in the Taipei airport near the entrance/exit through security into the A gates for China Air departures to N. America and Europe. There are probably others as well.

Nice job on the post! Man, we sure had a blast over there didn't we?...I did have fun posting the live version with you, hell we'd have forgotten half the details if we didn't do that! This was like the major leagues for me compared to what I was used to! I certainly could not believe it was all true... I really liked Pattaya, but I also very much enjoyed Bangkok....I think going both places compliments the Thailand experience very well...I can't wait to go back! Shadow, you ARE going with us next time! You are going to be like I was, a bird-dog in a flock of quail, not knowing which way to go....except the difference is you'll get a nice one no matter which way you leap.... and they just keep a comin'....Damn, what a place!....

EVA lounge has showers. I know you flew them over - if you've at least 20k miles with them you can get access to the lounge.
