Comparing Rio to Thailand is like comparing apples to oranges. It is a matter of taste. This was my 2nd trip to Rio vs numerous trips to LOS.

Or they simply shove you in a dark alley put a gun to your head and demand money. The old gem scam in Thailand, commonplace with the Tuk-Tuk drivers, is a scam based on your greed.

The weather in Thailand is HOT. May cool down to high 80's with humidity. Rio in December was very nice low 80's and 70's at night. I'm American it's all in Fahrenheit.

Traffic wasn't too bad in Rio it was heavy volume but moved along. Traffic in Bangkok is still horrible. The skytrain helped out but it still is bad.

Hotels

Thailand again without a doubt I would say you pay twice as much in Rio as LOS and for a lesser quality hotel or apartment.

Location

More difficult as I can only compare to Rio, but LOS from my experience is hard to beat for beaches, safety and things to do outside hobbying. It is always warm to hot in both places so no real difference for me compared with dreary old England. I think LOS does come out top here by a good length.

Food

This is a tie for me, both places are fantastic, cheap and great quality. If you are a meat lover Rio wins, Spicy and variety LOS, for seafood you are in heaven in both. For beer honours even, cocktails Thailand because of cost and juices Rio is best both cost and quality is superb.

Ease of hobbying

Again, LOS wins, there are more girls, more different types of places to hobby in and the scene is more visible. English is more widely spoken and people in general more friendly.

Girls looks.

Very subjective this one and it depends on your taste. Both have stunning women, if you like them slender LOS wins, if you like a bit more flesh on your bones Rio comes top. For face I would say LOS has more beautiful women, skin LOS wins too. For breasts and overall body Rio wins as I prefer slightly fuller women with good sized breasts, but they would be better if they did not have those bikini lines - I hate those. CASE FOR THE DEFENCE

As a poor and humble Englishman I have to take up my case and defend myself against the Honourable Lord Gringo (herewith called HLG) and subject myself Wicked Willy (herewith called WW) to the mercy and wisdom of my peers and fellow whoremongers. I presume on the court to maintain my name until proven guilty.

Before I defend myself against the specific counts bought against the HLG I would like to say that my offering on this subject was meant to be a part factual, part subjective view in the subject concerned. I do not think the fact that LOS is cheaper, has better value hotels and is generally an overall easier hobbying vacation are much disputed, the first two certainly are fact. On the matters of food, GFE and looks these are subjective subjects on which I tried to give my viewpoint and actually in my view honours were even here between Brazil and LOS.

COUNT I

On WW inability to find bikini lines attractive, indeed to have the audacity to dislike them, he has several lines of defence.

Firstly, as those of you like the HLG who come from lands where the sun shines and were the beaches are adorned by girls who have gorgeous tans may not understand, those of us who come from the “motherland” are used to white skin on our beaches and the site of those tan lines are a sad reminder of what we have left home to get away from, our women, their attitudes and their white bodies. I can act as a character witness for the Defendant WW. I was with him in Thailand shortly after his trip to Rio and he was raving about Rio and his time spent there. He was clearly wavering on whether he wanted to retire to LOS or Rio and was considering splitting his time 50/50. He even did his best to get me to venture to Rio. I have nothing against Rio but have far too much wating for me in LOS to spend my presently valuable free time anywhere else. A day off is like gold to me right now.Perhaps in the future when I am carefree and independently wealthy like DG and Sandman I might broaden my horizons.
As to no one remembering WW's name in Thailand - his GF is so smokin hot ( everything he described and MORE ) that anyone on this board would be all over her in a heartbeat. She seemed totally devoted to him as well.
