Well this was my 4th trip to Thailand and I wanted something a bit different so decided to try out Cambo. Originally I just wanted to see Angkor but after reading some posts here and chatting with Merlin decided to try PP for some mongering action. As is typical of my trips everything was done pretty much on the fly with only a plane ticket, one night's hotel room booked in Thailand, and Ben (a driver Merlin recommended) waiting for an email the moment I had an idea when I'd be landing in PP...

So I land in Bangkok at 1:00 am on Thanksgiving morning and quickly got a cab to the Dynasty Inn. I was settled by 2:00 am and knew I should get to bed as I had to make travel arrangements for Cambo the next day but just had to check out the freelancer scene around Nana Hotel. There were tons on chicks in the Nana parking lot but I didn't see anything I liked so just wandered around Sukumvit. While waiting for the traffic light to change I heard running behind me and saw 2 girls running right at me. The cute one out of the 2 started flirted with me and soon we agreed on all night for 1,000 baht. Let's see, I left my room around 2:15am and brought a chick back around 2:45am man I love this town. The moment we were in the elevator she grabbed me and started making with me (a rare aggressiveness for a Thai girl) until we got to my room. There she did a strip show and was dancing naked all over the place (hmm I thought, I don't think this is a nice salesgirl type). I had a great session with her and we were in bed until 1pm the next day

The next morning we had breakfast at the Nana Cafe and when I asked what she did for a living she got all shy and refused to tell me. After convincing her that'd I'd still like her no matter what she did she admitted that she was a go-go dancer at King's Castle 1 in Patpong!!! Yeah, I got a King's dancer for only 1,000 baht long-time, I love bargains!!! She wanted to see me again that night and I agreed as she was the best deal I ever had in Bangkok. She also wanted me to come to her go-go so she could introduce me to her friends as her boyfriend...uh that's o.k. no thanks. I told her to meet me at 11pm at my room and shooed her off. I thought about going to Eden but I had no sleep the night before, had to arrange my Cambo trip, and had to meet a friend I met in Angeles, Phillippines at 5pm (it was 2pm at the time). So in the next 3 hours I bought my plane ticket to PP and Siem Reip in Bangkok Air (about $250), emailed my arrival time to Ben, and bought some clothes for the trip. After eating dinner with my buddy we hit Nana Plaza and spent the whole night there. I was thinking of getting a short time before my girl came up but jet lag hit me hard around 8pm and I was struggling to just keep awake (and no those bikini's didn't keep me awake at all, oh what happened to the old Bangkok that had nude girls everywhere?). By 10:30pm I decided to head back to wash up and get clean but my girl was already there looking for me. So much for sleeping, I had another all night session with her...

I remember from previous trips these girls think your their boyfriend if you see them multiple times and this girl was no different. She was saying how much she loved me and that she wanted to move to Los Angeles with etc etc. Sorry I had a plane to catch to Cambo!!! I told her I couldn't see her that night and she seemed sad but what could I do? I left my luggage in Dynasty's storage area and grabbed a taxi to the airport.

Since I had no idea what Cambo was like I decided to make this a quick trip of 2 nights in PP and 1 night in Siem Reip. I only had 10 days total so arranged 3 nights in Pattaya where I knew I'd have a good time. The reason I rushed to Cambo so soon after arriving in Bangkok is because I wanted to check out the PP scene over the weekend as I figured that's when the most girls would be out. I arrived and met Ben who took me to the Hawaii Hotel which was all booked except for the Deluxe rooms (I actually wanted the suite which cost almost twice as much so this was actually a downgrade). Initial impressions of Cambodia: it was dark, damn dark. I arrived on a Friday night and there are no street lights at all. Hell there are barely any traffic lights, everyone drives wherever. Kinda spooky to see people walking around in the dark. Ben spoke decent english and took me to a bar called Alcatraz where I drank beer and played connect four with girls. Everywhere on the streets there were people. So many that the traffic was crazy. Turns out Cambo was having a big weekend holiday for the Water Festival. Turns out this holiday is so local it wasn't mentioned in any tour books that I checked out before coming over. Everyone from the village comes to the city and it was the busiest time of the year. It also turned out it was the worst time of year to come for mongering since all the girls spent time with their families. Dammit!!! Indeed every place I went to, from the Turnabout, to Sharky's and even Martini's was empty of girls. On top of that some hurricane was going through Vietnam and fallout from it was making it rain like crazy (I actually slipped while running to my cab and got my shirt all muddy). Ben also had a headache so stayed in the car while I went to these places by myself. Most girls that I met knew a little english but the selection was scarce and they were horrible looking. At Martini's I met a fellow Californian who went to PP all the time and was as shocked as me about the lack of girls. He told me usually the place was packed with girls trying to get a guy, but this weekend you had to approach the girls. Oh well I grabbed the best looking one for $10 short time and took her back to my place. Sex was pretty good but she was all business: As soon as I was finished she was ready to go.

I walked her down and while she talked on her phone the guy behind the desk was trying to hook me up with a Vietnamese girl for $15. A van pulled up, my girl approached then went back in. Turns out the van was a whore car: the driver had girls with the driver being a pimp and he tried to recruite my girl. Man I love Asia!!!

The next day Ben gave me the full tour of PP including the Killing Fields and I got to see the famous Water Festival that consisted of guys in boats racing each other. Here are some random pictures, the guy is my driver Mr. Ben:





I forgot to put on my sunscreen so my skin was burning when we got back to my hotel. I took a pit stop to Street 63 to check out the girls but some didn't look *ahem* at least 18 so I got out of there. Since it was my last night I wanted it to be memorable. A guy I talked to told me about a place called the Sophie Club. Ben knew where it was but didn't seem to know too much about it. He stayed in the car while I went up some spooky stairs into a really small bar. There was one guy hugging 3 girls and the moment I sat down 3 girls surrounded me. I ordered a beer and before it came 2 girls were giving me head, they unzipped me so fast I didn't know what to do. I felt kinda bad for the guy since I wouldn't want to see some other guys schlong. After 2 sips of beer they offered to all come with me into the backroom, hell even the guy in the corner told me to take all 3. I only found one attractive though and took her into a room with one bare red light. Man it was sleazy!!! It was dark but I took a quick photo in there

The picture isn't that great but the girl was cute. I'm sure she tried to make me cum just by giving me a BJ since it was the longest BJ I ever had but I can only finish by screwing. The funny thing was that I didn't say a single word to the skinny friend until she was naked in bed next to me. Anyways, it was a fun time, at least for me

I think I had about 3 hours of sleep then Ben picked me up to go to the airport to Siem Reip. A word about Ben: He was a nice guy and all but he told me that he charged $20 a day. I was there for 2 nights, 1 full day and 1 morning drive to the airport so I figured it'd be around $40 for 2 full days. But he charged $60, counting the morning drive and one night as a full day. I was late for my flight and payed it but felt a bit ripped off. I recommend paying at the end of the night with a tip to avoid being ripped off.

My skin was still burning from the day before but when I put on some lotion it was expired so I tried to hide in the shadows until I found an expensive sunblock. No sleep + bad sunburn + a full day of running up and down temples = one exhausting day. But I still had to check out the nightlife!!!

For mongering it was horrible. Alcatraz was closed due to the water festival so I had a hotel driver (I stayed at the Freedom Hotel which is highly recommended) take me to a massage place. This was basically like a fish bowl but you just take the girl back to your hotel for the night. It cost $30 for all night and sadly I chose a Vietnamese girl because I heard they gave the best BJ and it was my last night in Cambo. She was very shy, wouldn't let me take photo's, and was a total starfish. Damn should of just chose a hottie Cambodian.

That was the end of my brief Cambodian trip. My impression: Cambo is not for the faint of heart or newbies to the third world. It's a spooky place where a driver is a must. Really no infrastructure and you must bring all your cash with you as there's no ATM. On the other hand its damn cheap and finding girls is more like an adventure then simply walking into a go-go and saying "I want that one". Even though I went during the worst time of year of mongering (avoid the Water Festival like the plague) I still had a good time. I'll definitly go back so I can check out more places and because I love the adventurous aspect of it.

Next Chapter will be Bangkok and Pattaya adventures!!!

Thanks for the write up Bbig12, sorry to hear that the timing of the trip to PP wasn't optimal. When Martinis or Sharkeys is hopp'in, it is unreal. It still looks like you had fun anyways. I'm kind of surprised at Ben for charging you so much, he's usually pretty good about it with other guys that used him. As for the Viet girls, the gals in PP and Sihounakeville are better service providers, as I'm sure you noticed, Siem Reap is so touristy that the working gals seemed are a bit jaded. One of the better places in Siem Reap are the mamasan houses near Salina Hotel -- Tokyo Massage, etc. They usually have about 30-40 girls. Otherwise, you've got the right spirit about returning to Cambodia at a better time and for more adventure. Looking forward to the rest of your report and the pics.

There are Banks in Cambodia who will give you cash over the counter when showing your visa, Mastercard, etc

In your post you mention that Merlin advised you to use Ben as a driver.
I searched the threats and found an advice of Merlin, dated december 22, 2003 where merlin mentiona and advises Ben Wee as a driver./
In your story there is a photgraph of your driver Ben.But that is not a Photo of Ben Wee but maybe of another Ben.
I spend, the same time , some days in PP and used Ben Wee.
Very satisfactory.

DM, IMO, unlike other places, you would benefit from a driver in Cambodia b/c of the language barrier, the crazy drivers, and the difficulty of finding things,. In all fairness to Ben Wee, I've referred him over 5 hombres and used him 6x with no problems and good reviews. I'm sure it was a misunderstanding with happened here.

Merlin/William3: Wow that's not Ben??? I used the email you gave me Merlin and he came to pick me up at the airport. Weird but I guess that's Cambodia for you. Well whoever he was he was a good guide, prompt and knew where all the places were. I probably would use him again but would just be more clear on the price and pay him every night instead of all at once at the end.

Don Marco: Next time I'll hire a driver again, at least to pick me up from and to drop me off at the airport. Cambo isn't as safe as Thailand and I'd rather pay more for the peace of mind. Plus its nice to have a driver waiting for you when you step out of a club with a hottie...

Patay6969: Check the current exchange rate online but B1,000 is around $25. Yes Asia is cheap compared to the U.S. but remember the flights can be expensive and long. Due to the long flight and the jetlag that hits you I wait until I have at least 1.5 weeks of vacation time before I go there. I also don't watch how much I spend so don't let the cheap prices make you think you'll have a cheap vacation!!! My record is 2 weeks in Pattaya where I spent $5,000, or almost $360/day (and spent mainly on girls). Expensive, but man what a crazy trip...

That's definitely not the Ben Wee I know. Maybe there is more than one Ben Wee in Cambodia--the land of mystery and intrigue...

A lot of hotels will arrange their staff driver to pick you up at the airport as part of the room fee or for a nominal fee -- i.e. Hawaii Hotel in Phnom Penh and Hawaii Hotel in Siem Reap.

I have hired Ben Wee through email for 2/7 - 2/11

How can I be sure THE Mr Wee I get is the Mr Wee that I want? How sure of his integrity are we?

I have not been tp PP before but I have been mongering for awhile. My experence is that everyone in this business is playing all sides of every deal. I would love it to not worry and be led to the ladys without my guide getting paid by anyone but ME.

Smitopher, I PM'd you but thought I'd recap a bit to sort out the confusion about Ben for the board. Ben emailed me recently and said an urgent matter came up when BigB was in town so he sent over a friend who was knowledgeable about the scene. I told Ben he should have let BigB know what was going on. Aside from being overcharged, I think BigB's guide came through for him.

It's true most 3rd world countries have some shady taxi guys and drivers, and Cambodia is no exception. But I can vouch for Ben as being honest, dependable and knowledgeable about the most up-to-date p4p scene. At least a dozen guys on this site and other sites have been referred to him with no complaints and good reviews.

Hire Ben and have no worries. I've personally seen him refuse commissions by mamasans and he's very protective towards his clients. He and I have known each other too long for him to know he cannot jeopardize future referrals; nor would I be able to sleep at nights if I referred guys here someone I didn't trust.

I second Merlin's remarks. I hired Ben Wee several times. Last time was in december 2004.Very satifactory service.
