First of all, about 6 months ago the peso was around 50 to $1. Today it is in the 30 to $1 range. The problem is that when it was at 50/1 everyone upped their prices but when it dropped by 40% - the prices stayed the same.

So - with that said, the old 1,700 peso date at 50/1 = $34 is now a 2,000 peso date at 30/1 = $67. Still not bad, but now add in a Cabana if you are not in a guest friendly hotel and a taxi that wants $30 round trip and the price has more than doubled. BUT ... still not bad.

I stayed at the Jaragua .. NOT guest friendly. Usually I hit Club Remington and have never been disappointed. Last week I tried Tabu and Lapsus again, right out behind the Jaragua.

Tabu was as always - ugly, aggressive women. I didn't even buy a drink.

Over to Lapsus ... new management ... NOT aggressive. Much like Remington Palace. Girls dressed nicely. Girls - young and very good looking. They don't come in unless invited via the old eye contact or finger wave or inviting smile.

Selected a knock-out 19 year old named Natalie - tall, beautiful face, trim with a fantastic bubble butt. 2,500 pesos for the girl for the night.

Off to the Jaragua .. stopped by the elevator Nazis. So - off to a Cabana .. 500 pesos for the Cabana. Spent 2 hours of VERY energetic and lively action. BBJTC and all positions except Greek (no problem - I am not into that anyway).

FANTASTIC time. Gave her a 500 peso tip and she seemed very happy. The taxi driver tried to rip me off for 2,000 pesos. I gave him $25 US and he seemed happy enough.

Bottom line: Lapsus - up on my list. The girls - highly recommend. The prices? Fair.

The DR? No longer the super cheap place. In particular, aside from the girls, the drinks in the bars and the dinners in the restaurants are actually expensive.
