I had been dying to make my first trip to Jakarta for a while, and it didn't dissapoint. There isn't as much intel on the internet about Jakarta as there is on most other places. So I really had to really on the kindness of others. Some of those post on this board, and others on various boards. Four off us made the trip from Singapore. I arrived on Weds. night, Crazier and Five Cents arrived Thursday, and Chilisquid arrived on Friday. We all departed on the same flight Sunday night. I really need to thank Crazier, Zippy (an expat friend of mine in Jakarta), Phenom (Sing Based Melon Hunter), Raiman and Moonface (Two Singaporean expats in Jakarta), and Crazier's friend who helped us secure our hotels.

I will first post a chapter of travel basics, then some chapters on the action, and finally I may offer up some comparisons between Jakarta and other SEA destinations.

MX, based on what I know about our compatabilities re: girls and things we like to do as far as p4p, I'm truly looking forward to this report. Always exhilerating to find different places to monger.
