I was very surprised how small the San Jose airport was. As we started to depart the plane and enter the airport, I feel the heat, it was very hot outside! It took about an hour to get thru customs. As I started to exit the airport, some guy took all care of all my luggage and walked me outside of the airport. Once outside, I seen a bunch of people behind gates with signs. I eventually found my sign...."yes". It was Joanna. She politely greeted me and indicated that the van was in the garage.
I make it to the van and I almost see the girl in the backseat, but the windows were tinted. As we approach the van, the girl opens the back door and exits the van with a smile and kisses me on the cheek. Well.....so far so good! The vibes are right at least! She obviously was one of the girls I chose and she wasn't ugly or nothing like that, but I had a different image in my head for some reason.
Joanna was real nice. She started explaining the whole process to me and then introduced me to Maria. Maria seemed nice and just kept smiling at me. I looked out at San Jose and it really felt weird being out of the country. It was kind of hard to explain, but I was excited at the same time.
It was going to be a 2 hour drive to the resort and it appeared Joanna was going to talk the whole way. What's really crazy is.....as we got out of San Jose, we started hitting some moutains and very steep roads, very steep roads. It was actually kind of scary!
We finally made it to the resort area....and it was nice! I was kind of surprised to see that the guard at entrance of the hotel was fully armed!
I was paying about $225 a nite at the resort. Here is a picture of the front entrance.
Joanna gives me all of her contact info and lets me know that I could call her anytime.....for translations, problems or whatever. They collect our luggage and lead us to the reception area. The reception people spoke perfect english and gave me a little info about the features of the resort. After a few minutes, they provide us card keys and the bellboy walks us to the room.
I settle down in the room and take a deep breath! Finally....my vacation begins and everything appears to be okay! For some reason, Maria keeps rubbing my back and asking me if I was okay! I guess I was trying to take all of this in....and probably had a puzzled look on my face the whole time!
I asked her if she was hungry, but she wasn't! I decided I wanted to break the ice with her....so I started joking with her. I used my hands to get her to come near me. She walks over to me and I look right in her eyes and start smiling. She smiles back...then we both start to laugh. I wanted to kiss her, but did not know if she was willing or not. I put my finger on my lips and she appeared to take the hint and got very close to my face.....I kissed her softly. So far, so good....so I continue to kiss her and she finally opens up. We continue to kiss very slowly. We eventually end up on the bed.
Now...I get nervous and stop.
To avoid looking like a jerk, I ask her if she wants to go and look at the resort. She couldn't understand what I was saying.....so I pointed outside and used my fingers to imitate walking. She must have understood because she gets up and grabs her purse.
We walk all around the resort and the place is awesome. Here are pictures of the resort area:
Maria starts to warm up to me and begins rattling off in broken english....I could barely understand what she was saying. They had different areas in the resort where you could go and have a drink......but anywhere you went, pool lounge area, the beach area or wherever....there was someone available to take your order. One of the waiters recommended this Tropical rum cocktail....it was real good! After the second one, I was pretty buzzed! I am thinking now.....this is going to fun! I felt like I was on paradise island! Man....everything is just too perfect...no problems.... yet! But according to Murphy's law....what will go wrong, will go wrong! Right!
As luck may have it, Maria wants to test the waters with me. Yes.....the drama begins....
