Copacabana beach is where you'll most likely be staying as a new visitor. The Rio Roiss and Hotel Debret are located here and are walking distance to Help Disco and Meia Pataca. Many other options are a short cab ride away. If you decide on a different hotel, make sure that it is guest friendly before you book reservations.

The sex scene in Rio is divided into two categories, Freelancers and Termas. Freelancers could probably be sub-categorized into three groups: Beach Cafe, Help, and Lido Club. There are other options, such as a place called Villa Mimoza and picking girls up off the street or the beach, but I do not recommend them for newbies and will not cover those options in this report.

Freelancers usually work out of Bars/Nightclubs (Lido Clubs) or Discos (Help). Some will hang out at the cafes along the beach. As freelancers, the girls can pretty much charge whatever they want, but to stay competitive, they will typically stay within a certain price range. Once you negotiate a session with a freelancer, you can either bring her back to your hotel or apartment, or take her to a love motel. Average short-time price (2 hours) should be in the range of 150-200 reals ($53-$71 US) with top prices going up to 500 reals ($178 US). The highest I was personally quoted was 300 reals($107 US). I usually don't go for allnight so I won't comment much on that, but it shouldn't be too much higher.

Termas are small clubs that will forever change your perspective on life for the better. Upon entering, you pay a small cover charge and are given a bathrobe and thongs to wear. Most termas have showers, grooming accessories, and a dry or wet sauna or both. Some also have masseuses. When you're changed and ready, you enter the club portion of the terma where the scantily clad girls hang out. The club portion of the terma looks just like a tiny night club with a bar and a small lounging area, typically mostly couches around the outside. Here you can drink, talk, or make out with the girls before you choose. There is no time limit and you are not required to select a girl. Drinks are inexpensive and some termas have food. Girls will approach you and let their hands wander. They will position their head to kiss you, but you shouldn't unless you've decided on the girl. The kissing is usually an understood agreement that you're going to take her to the room. Most of the rooms are very small, but big enough to get the job done. Session times are usually 40 min or 1 hour and there are often two kinds of rooms, cabins and suites. After your session, you are free to hang out as long as you want. Total price for the cover, the girl in a cabin, and a few drinks averages around 160 reals($57). Your bill is paid when you leave. The one outlying exception I'm aware of is Centaurus which charges a 270 reals ($96 US) cover when you enter, but includes the girl in a cabin at this price.

A couple of termas open around noon, but most don't open until the early evening and many are closed weekends. You may want to get some phone numbers if you want to fill your daytimes and early weekends with sex.

The map below is just for a general idea of where some things are in relation to one another in the Copacabana area. If you stay in Debret, you will be slightly to the left of Help. If you stay in Rio Roiss, you will be immediately above Meia Pataca. Monte Carlo is the only Terma in the vicinity. The Lido Clubs include Barbarella, Frank's, La Cicciolina, and Sensoo, all practically next to each other.

Escort garotas, the sites maintain they are tested but who knows.
All girls on the program have an id card. I doubt free lancers get tested. Street Girls, you would play with fire.

My friend told me they must have a fake health card since only Mexicans can work there (he used to date 1 of the chicas and knows his stuff). The Paulistas who work at AB would work as flower vendors in Rio. I did ask Sada to bring more of her amigas but she said they were not interested in coming to Mexico. Many termas girls go to Europe for the high season. They are mobile,and I think they do not go to TJ because Europe is probably better than TJ( crimes, working condition..etc)

As Athos points out, TJ is much better opportunity for making money. A Brazilian can make more money in one day in TJ than she probably would all week in Rio. It's all about volume.

It kind of grosses me out now thinking about AB chicas doing 10 guys a day, especially when a lot aren't showering between sessions.

I have to disagree, here is what I got from cariocas. a) you certainly noticed, Brazilians go to Termas. You will find less of them at Meia Pataca or in Help.

b) low class Brazilians go to Vila Mimosa, the more prudent ones go to the cheap massage parlors. Just today I read O Dia classifieds again, an amazing number of places advertised R$ 10 programas. Most tourists on a limited time schedule may skip these places, though some gems can be found.

c) There are some intermediate priced massage parlors and low class termas. R$ 30-R$ 60 downtown, R$ 40 - R$ 100 in Copa. Also private incalls in small apartments.

d) The entire huge outcall agency scene. Best bang for the buck is www.karlamodels.com.br A few of them also have incall. forum.hotside.com.br is a site for Brazilians to discuss escorts, they ONLY discuss the outcall agencies.

e) The private madam, small scale pimp, girl-introducing-girlfriends, model-agency-providing-extra-income-to-the-models scene. Even Brazilians have a hard time to find these sources. They have all kinds of girls, often models, students, house maids, all kind of girls that mostly work only occasionally. I know a few of them and get most of my girls from there.

f) there seems to be the real high class scene with middle and upper class girls occasionally moonlighting for R$ 500 short time and R$ 1000 long time, in private parties of the upper crust. I got that from hearsay only.

g) swinger couple parties. Kind of exotic and rare, but there are a few on the weekends.
