Was recovering from my adventures the prior night..woken up with a phone call from my buddy to hit the breakfast buffet. This call was about 9:30, 10ish. Granted, I just saw off Claudia about 7:45am. What the fuck?! Went back to bed, later heard a pounding at the door and was dragged out of bed by my pal. He is a human alarm clock, can wake up at will at the time he wants. Me? U can drop a bomb next to me and I won't wake up.
The breakfast buffet at the Atlantis Copacabana is alright, does the job. Coffee, tea, wide assortment of breads/rolls, scrambled eggs and depending on the day (either the native sausage or cut up hot dogs). The fruits and juices, which were very fresh, were killer. The pineapple kicked ass. Tried a native Brazilian fruit, forgot the name (saw it in a guide book). It was pink-reddish and had the consistency/look of a honeydew melon and avacado. Tasted kinda bland but I like to try new things..hell im on vacation.
The good thing about the breakfast buffet..it was included with the hotel price..Saves money for important stuff..heh heh.. So we'd fill up on the buffet, have a cheap lite snack in the middle of the day. Then my friend and I made an effort almost everynight to have a nice meal at a nice restaurant.
Funny, noticed a few mongers in our hotel from the states. Some European and US regular tourists also. Noticed especially this one nerdy guy with this decent looking chick...Actually he was on the same floor as us (he was in one of the rooms next to me). My pal and I came to the conclusion that she was a working girl and he had rented her for the duration of his stay (however long it was). We found out later in our trip that we were right. Saw her in Help a few nights later.
I knew this was going to be a good hotel..also the morning we arrived, our first breakfast buffet, we must have seen 3 separate working girls eating with their dates from the night before..One of those girls, which was slutty hot, was wearing this kinda slip. Her titties (obvious implants) were almost bulging out. Was a great sign that this hotel had NO PROBLEMS with guests. Later that night, saw the same chick at Terraco Atlantico.
After the buffet, my pal and I walked around Copa and took in the lay of the land. My friend was getting ancy and wanted to hit Luomo. Told him it was too early (thank God for Bwana's guide and that other posted cheatsheet), but he didnt listen. Got there 2pm, the door man said come back at 4pm. Walked around some more and then tried to take the actual Metro subway. Kindly explained to us by a friendly Brazilian who worked in the Metro that our route, we needed to take the Metro bus, not the subway. Love those friendly Brazilians who help our dumb gringo asses..
Got on the bus..Pretty cool..they have the money collector person right on the bus sitting by a turnstyle built into the bus..Fast and cheap ride, better than the cab sometimes..Got dropped off by the park in Ipanema where they have the hippie fair. Went back to the hotel, which was a 5 min walk away..Killed some time...
Returned to Luomo at about 5pm. Explained the prices and policies at the front desk. Very professional and upfront, like it..like it alot.
Got the robes on and the games began!
Luomo was exactly in detail as Bwana explained in his guide (thanks bro). Approx 15-20 girls working at that time. Pretty sexy spanish looking Brazilians..for the most part. There was maybe a few that were average, but the rest were pretty decent. However, the night before at Help REALLY IMHO in terms of quality and amount of women were WAY BETTER.
Don't get me wrong, Luomo had a decent amount of bangable hotties. But Help and Claudia were the bomb!! The place is small, but it was a good thing so u could keep track of all the women.
My buddy and I checked the entire place out, then settled into the main area and started scoping out the chicks. Funny, they were playing in the background, the Black Eyed peas parody "Let's Get Retarded". Hilarious..

Got back to the hotel and rallied..Went to Help that night. The quality had gone down a little bit from Fri night..It was still some decent scenery, but wasnt as phenomenal as Fri night.
My buddy and I were a done deal..so we called it a night..Didnt see Claudia that night.
Day 4 Easter Sunday 3/27/05:
FINALLY...the overcast weather was gone and it was beautiful weather..Was getting worried. Friday and Saturday were overcast and drizzling a little..i knew it was Brazil's rainy season but wasnt sure how bad it was..
We hit the beach in Ipanema..checked out Copa beach the last 2 days prior while walking around..not as nice as Ipanema..
We got situated by Caesar Park on the beach in Ipanema..Negotiated the beach guys for 2 chairs ($2R each) and 1 umbrella for $3R(my friend is a paly pussy) for a grand total of $7R..nice less than $3 US..

Started priming the melanin and working on my tan..Was on the beach for a while..Got hungry and went to check out the eateries in Ipanema..Have quite a few. Found this corner joint where the food was VERY TASTY AND CHEAP. Makes great chicken! Highly recommend..I'm sure u guys hit most of these places before:
For dinner, we ate at Carretto, a churasscaria in Ipanema..HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The food was extremely affordable considering the amount we ate. The ambiance was nice. The restaurant was big. They had tons of servers in white uniforms moving at Mach 5, coming to you to serve various, plentiful delicious meate on a spit..Funny, they gave you a round cardboard disk with one side red stating that you wanted no more meat and the other side green: stating that u DID want more meat.
The staff was very attentive and swift. It was amazing cuz the dining room floor was extremely slippery due to the marble I think..and the amount of server traffic and the speed they moved at, my friend and I were suprised nobody wiped out!!
The food was amazing, CARNIVORES PARADISE!!
The desserts were just as good..I noticed that the desserts they serve in Rio were not only delicious but very sweet..mebbe cuz of the abundant sugar cane they grow here..You knew Carretto and Ganto Grill were good cuz not only were the tourists were there, but lots of the native Brazilians were there also...
Since it was Easter sunday...i figured the termas and Help would be closed..I called throughout the day and night to check anyways just in case..no answer..Anyways, we were both spent so it was good that we took today off cuz it was only the beginning of our vacation!!!
Heard alot of things about Viagra and Cialis..I dont have a problem in that department, but I always wanted to try something like that. I hear about the side effects of V, so I chose to go with Cialis instead. There was a local drogaria on the corner a block away from my hotel..love that shit..there are drogarias on almost every block.
Previously, my allergies were kicking in and I couldnt breathe that well cuz I was still getting acclimated to the humidity. I went to the place and told the guy what was wrong..he hooked me up with Claritin D. Costed $21.10R but he discounted me and rounded it to an even $20R..NICE..Took 1 pill a day..cleared my shit up..
The same place..got my cialis 2 pack. Forgot the price of the 2 pack but it was cheaper than the stated..did my research.. I remember the 4 pack was approx $120R i think..He tried to sell V to me but i chose the cialis instead..As i found out later in my adventures, this little pill would come in TOO HANDY.......more to follow..dont worry the pics will come...i just like to yap alot
