I was really excited as I boarded the plane. My first trip to Bangkok, the exotic land of sexual excess chronicled throughout this site. Somehow, I had never made it to that part of the world, even though I have lusted after Oriental women forever.

I thought about Helen, my Chinese girlfriend years ago, who was so shy (and insecure) that she wore a t-shirt for the first month we slept together. Perhaps she felt that her pancake breasts were inadequate, but OH, those nipples. As a guy who doesn’t really care about breast size as long as a gal has eraser nipples, I knew LOS would be the land of my fantasies. OK, yes, I admit I do like the big ones—but only if they have those points sticking straight out.

Somehow, I got sidetracked to Brasil. Five years ago, my cousin showed me pictures that evidenced the wild and wonderful time he had had in Brasil, and I demanded that he take me along the next time he went. I was getting tired of paying $300 for an hour for marginally satisfactory experiences in Los Angeles (that’s it! Time’s up, gotta go, sorry you’re just getting going again, once is enough….)—or worse, $50 for…well, I better not say, I’ve got a reputation to keep.

Brasil completely ruined my taste for LA hookers (and let’s not even talk about the more expensive non-pros on the prowl here). I’d think, for this I can have 3 or 4 really good hours in a termas. And later, as I became more familiar with Brasil, for $300 I could have two garotas for 24 hours plus all we could eat and an apartment overlooking the ocean. So I started going to Brasil a lot.

When I joined Club Hombre a year and a half ago, I had three months before my next planned Brasil trip to read the advice from the vets. And boy, did I learn a lot. That trip (see my award-winning trip report, “Fantasies Fulfilled in Rio”) was made much richer than my previous SIX trips to Rio by what I learned on this board. So I got involved with the South America chat board, and only read a little about the rest of the world—so much information on the board!

So when I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to travel to Thailand in three weeks, I was a bit apprehensive. There was little time to read and absorb the vast experience of my fellow Hombres in this part of the world, even if I didn’t have so much work to get done. And I was going cold, with a friend who wasn’t really a monger (Wayne had fallen in love with a Thai girl, was thinking about marrying her). How would I find the hotties, and them get them into bed (or wherever)? Would I even like the girls there (other than their nipples)? I recalled seeing some reports about the “Me shy” attitude—I liked my girls NOT shy, I liked to see them when they went down on me, when we screwed, I liked to look at their faces as we satisfied our lust together. Would the Thai girls be lusty like the Brasilieras?

Taking pictures was another area I worried about, since I have trouble remembering all the girls I am with unless I have pictures of them. I recalled seeing someone mention that it was hard to get the girls there to allow photographs. Not many of the photos posted showed much flesh, either. And why were the pictures I recalled seeing posted relatively unattractive—or was that just the Filipinas?

I was aware of the occasional conflict between the various chat boards as to which place was better for mongering, which had hotter women, better this or that, etc. And my own perspective was formed by Brasil and the South America board folks. How would that color or influence my experience in Thailand?

Oh well, I thought, m’boy you’re in for a treat with those little spinners. Whatever happens, it will be an adventure, and you’ll make the best of it.

It was, and I did.

Hunterman

Been looking forward to your report. I enjoyed your brief updates throughout your trip. I'm hoping you can now appreciate why any number of us are addicted to this place...

Hunterman, I can definitely sense your excitement. It'll be interesting to see LOS through the eyes of a SA vet like you.

Hi Hunterman,

Glad to see the excitement. When Bangkok gets old you may consider hopping on over to Phuket or Koi Samui. Spent 2 months hopping between these places. But, I must say, at the end of the day I ended back in Rio. A tad biased...

Yes, a lot of excitement--and I'm posting this trip report before I've finished the trip report from January in Rio and Sao Paulo (sorry LAguy, I WILL get around to it).

At the end of my day, I'll probably be hopping between a lot of places--Rio and BKK, Samui, Pattaya, and other places I have yet to discover. After all, variety is the spice of a monger's life.

I had the same feeling as you did in reverse, being used to LOS and never being to Rio. I left Rio feeling how the hell am I going to balance my life, half in one place, half in the other. I just loved both of them.

I look forward to your report and seeing how you feel at the end of the trip.

My problem is, once I check out another great place--say Colombia--there will be a third half I'll have to fit in.

Problems, Problems, Problems.

You think it will only be 3 halfs????

I have not been to BA or Batam or China or Macau...

And thoese are just the biggens... I haveta get back to CTG REALLY SOON and I want to go to all those other spots. You have more than one problem.

Yes, we should all endeavor to spice up our mongering by alternating between our favorite places. Always thought I had a ADD or something, even in terms of mongering.

The novelty of a new destination is always a great rush for me. But I found that I eventually regain my bearings after a few trips and settle on one or two destination(s) that consistently do it for me -- now Colombia and Phils.

IMO Smitopher, you hit all the major mongering hotspots (Phils, Colombia, LOS and Brazil). I categorize the foregoing as places I'd go out of my way to visit and all others as secondary places I'd go to if the opportunity arises.

Hunterman: I am happy you WILL get around to the Sao Paulo report. I wish you told me earlier though. I now have to go through all the work of undoing the all-Brazil-hands Hunterman boycott that I had been spending the last few days organizing in response to your apparent skipping of a Sao Paulo report in favor of one for Thailand.

By the way, if you want to see elephants in Brazil, you could always try the zoo. While I didn't include that option in my Sao Paulo guide, I am sure it is possible. But I will grudgingly admit Thailand isn't that bad either.

Hey, LAguy, gimme a break. Writing these epics is time-consuming, and I don't get paid for just waiting around in exotic places in case something happens, like some guys I know. And all those photos I have to go through (Brasilieras are not shy), then I have to sit back and savor the memories...this is easier, I have very few photos.

I don't even have time to find you a tailor in LA (although I now have a good one in Pattaya...)

Hi Hunterman, you certainly write good trip reports "warts and all" and they are insightful as Val said to me. Like you rightly say you are providing these travelogues for the benefit of others for free, so write about where "YOU" want to. If you want to continue writing about Thailand then do so. I am so pleased that you liked LOS so much, and this is a great example of a seasoned Hombre enjoying the pleasures of Thailand for the first time. BTW it was a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to meeting you again.
