I woke up not feeling like crap, so I wrote a report and decided to make some phone calls and try the outcall route again.

I *thought* that I was booking a date with (http://www.peruanitasbonitas.com/sirenita.htm) Serenita because I read about her (http://perutops.com/foroweb/viewtopic.php?t=152) on PeruTops. She answered the phone and we set up a time. This is where my lousy grade Spanish didn't help. She told me a bunch of things, I just said OK when she confirmed that the date was on for 11 am. Quite possibly, one of the things that she told me was that she was sending a friend instead of her. If my Spanish was better, the outcall possibilities would be endless, and at great prices.

PUNCTUALITY: On time. At five to 11, the front desk rang to announce my visitor and ask if it was OK to send her up.
LOOKS: Oh boy. This is the type of girl that -- in real life -- I could only hope to score. Tall, about 5'8 or 9 with heels, long dark curly hair, a pretty smile, thin. I am sure that, if you asked her, she would say she was fat, but no way. I think that I need a new camera, the pictures this trip do not do any of these girls justice.

ATTITUDE: Awesome. These girls aim to please. She went into the bathroom and came out in sexy black stockings and shyly asked if it was OK with me. Duh.
PERFORMANCE: She was right there where I need her to be. Top Ten all time? No, but she knew the moves and was willing to do them. She was in the shower at the 45 minute mark, but that was fine with me -- we didn't have much to talk about anyway. She asked first, and would have stayed if I had wanted her to.
REPEAT?: No, but only due to the overwhelming amount of choices available.
NOTES: I am pretty sure that she tried to tell me in the beginning that she wasn't Serenita, so you couldn't call it bait & switch by any means. Besides, if you are going to B&S me and send over a smoking babe for $41, go ahead and have at it.

Feeling invigorated, I took a walk to the Starbucks on the San Isidro/Miraflores border. There was a movie theater there as well, so I made one last try for Episode III premiere tickets, to no avail. I will just have to wait until Thursday, like everyone else. I had lunch at the hotel. It was the Wednesday Seafood Buffet.

NAME: Hotel Las Americas, restaurant on 21st floor
ADDRESS: Av. Benavides 415, Miraflores
COST: 40 Soles, including tax and tip. A bottle of agua con gas added another 6 to the total (just under $15)
SELECTION: Tons of stuff. From what I can remember, there was a Cerbiche bar, pulpo, scallops rockefeller, tuna, crab raviolis, cold mussels with some sort of pico de gallo on them, a bunch of different fish dishes with different sauces, paella, and a nice selection of desserts. Unlike my experiences in Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic, Peruvians are not shy about including chocolate in their diets, so that's another plus. Don't miss the cherry cheesecake.
SERVICE: Top notch. Everything in this hotel is excellent. At $99, this would be a bargain. To be able to stay her for $60 is a steal.
QUALITY: Again, top notch. It wasn't the greatest meal I ever had, but it was one of my best $15 meals, that's for sure.
NOTES: They have a couple of different buffets on different days of the week. I probably won't try them, just due to the overwhelming amount of choices here.
RECOMMENDED: Hell yes. Make sure your trip includes a Wednesday afternoon, so you can have lunch here. There is also an a la carte menu here for dinner. I can only imagine that it is good, too.

I spent the rest of the afternoon shopping for presents again. But mostly, practicing my flirting with the local chicas. I picked up some alpaca (they say) yarn for my niece -- she wants to knit her own sweater. Also, I found a bunch of bootleg DVDs at a whopping $2 each. They're pretty good copies, so I got 5 or 6.
Then another couple of hours of losing at blackjack. Luckily, Miguel (the cabbie I met the other day) was picking me up at 10pm for a little sightseeing, so I managed to cut my losses by stopping.

Our first stop was in Barranco, the next neighborhood over from Miraflores. Although there's a couple of, er, adult places to go, we went to the area that was the center of Barranco's 'legitimate' nightlife.

NOTES: Barranco has a block-long area that's closed to traffic and is full of bars, clubs and restaurants. This was a Wednesday night, so there weren't many people about. I stopped in three places and wasn't all that impressed with any of them. I guess if I was a 20-something guy from Peru, it would be great, but I'm not, so it's not. I see no reason to go back there on future visits.
We then just drove around looking for any casinos I didn't know about with table games. We couldn't find any, but I'll say this -- Peruvians love slot machines. I had Miguel take me to the Golden Palace for about 45 minutes, where I regained my touch at blackjack. Happily, we then headed to the Golden Pepper.

ADMISSION: 20 soles (just under $6) and that includes two drinks.
CHICAS?: Yes. But none that I thought were really attractive, so I got no pricing information. I didn't want to get their hopes up.
LAYOUT: As far as I could tell, there's a bar with a tiny stage like thing behind it. There was a rail running exactly over the bar, hanging from the ceiling, so I guess any shows would take place on the bar.
NOTES: There was a sign in the bathroom that said that there was a lesbian show coming up next Sunday night. Other Sundays offered live sex, and some other stuff. I took a picture of the sign, but without my flash, so it may not reproduce well.
WOULD I GO BACK?: I can't imagine that situation coming up. Ever.

There were a couple of higher-end clubs next on my list, but I just didn't feel like it, so I had Miguel take me back to the hotel. I paid Miguel, and went to the Hacienda until 3 in the morning, where I broke even.
NOTE: Miguel was just a little greedy, IMNSHO, but he was prompt, knew his way around, and didn't drive like whether he lived or died isn't important to him. He speaks no English. Now, a little greedy in Peru is still dirt cheap for a taxi driver, so the extra $5 won't kill you. If you want to give him a call, his number is 9818-4362.
COMING UP THURSDAY: I hit the Jackpot, both in the afternoon and later at night at Tequila Rock. What a way to end a mongering trip!
