Five Observations and One Question

Reflections Five (sounds like a lounge act, eh?):

1. Yum Yum is sensational.

2. Quality is good (or I’m just an incredibly lucky guy.)

3. Girls are not requiring condoms. You are not an exception.

4. LT is back in fashion. Smart girls realize that finagling ST after agreeing to LT is counterproductive, because they lose the big tips and end up working twice as hard for the same money.

5. Hotels are full, bars are not. This conundrum underscores a sea change, as AC’s business model is dragged kicking and screaming (much like the record industry) into the com-tech age. Bring or buy a cell phone.

Question One:

If a bargirl hits the jackpot and finds a guy who wants to take her home to the US, what are the visa application and interview pitfalls?

For example, is having a health card a problem? Is residing in AC a red flag? What questions in the interview can trip her up? How much info is cross-checked?

Just trying to help a friend, and it looks to this unpracticed eye that one misstep can screw up a girl’s chances for life. Thanks in advance to anyone with knowledge or experience.

Good question dude, about the health cards. Seems like the logical way for US Immigration to easily find out if the girl is a working girl. I`ve been told by US Immigration Lawyers that getting a prositute a fiance visa is NOT a problem. Also, I know for 100% fact, that girls working in AC bars are here in US on fiance visa. So that seems to suggest that having a health card won`t be a problem.

Residing in AC is NOT a problem. Telling them she is a prositute is a BIG problem. Telling them you did drugs anytime in your life is a BIG problem.

Deny ever being a prositute and deny ever using drugs.

Fiance visas are rarely ever turned down, no criminal record, no health problems, no ties to terrists groups it`s highly, highly likely you`ll be approved.

Not likely to screw up her chances for life, but could cost her 10 years.

Check out visajourney.com, it`s loaded full of info about the process.

it ain't a problem....

to get her a visa, he'll need to apply for a fiance visa and it will be granted in time. Of course, he'll have to get hitched (in I think 2-3 months) or else she's booted back.

sure-- just trying to help "a friend"-- likely story...

Yum Yum is still sensational. She got a bit psyscho however when I relegated her to number two and went back to hotel with KMNMS - a small play on words some will understand.

YY is a tiny thing with a sexual appetite not exceeded by many. I agree with your assessment.

The bars were friggin deserted as of 13 June when I left -- even BN and BNE were half full at best.

Condoms are a tossup in AC right now. When I brought 4 Emotion's girls back to my room- 2 actually insisted on condoms and 2 couldn't care less.

Fooled & DM,

Thanks for weighing in. Filipinas don't plan ahead much, and winging it just doesn't seem like such a good idea.

As for "helping a friend", I've adopted an avuncular attitude toward the girl in question, and I'd just hate to see her hopes dashed. If it were me, I'd be talking to an attorney.

KM,

You mentioned that YY claims she's no longer working. Got a cell number you'd care to share via email? I'd sure like to see her again next week.

Sorry you've left - coming back for the 4th?

Tujunga:

I know NOTHING about our Consulate in the PI, so I can't address your question directly, but I have had a fair amount of experience helping several Mexican chicas try to get VISAs, and can offer some general advice.

A LOT of it depends on the US Consulate and their "attitude" towards the locals who are applying for a VISA. The power is ALL in the hands of the people who do the interview. You are correct in that one slip and she will NEVER get a VISA. Once she slips, that info will be forever in the US computer data banks, and even tho the law says 10 years, in reality it is forever.

Prostitution is one of the specific activities that serves to prohibit getting a VISA - by US law the Consulate CANNOT issue her a VISA if they know she has worked as a prostitute. Period.

You need to get in touch with someone who is familar with the Consulate procedures in the PI to get a real handle of how they are.

In Mexico they are vicious. Even a hint that a chica has spent time in Tijuana can result in a denial. I tell the chicas they can't mention ever having been in ANY border town, and especially TJ. In Mexico they do check for health cards, and will turn a chica down if she has had one.

The K-1 (fiancee) VISA is about the only VISA that is automatic: if you do the paperwork correctly, pay the fee's, and answer their questions correctly they pretty much have to issue the VISA. (It's that last one that gets girls in trouble - because of course they are telling fibs left and right.) Once she enters the US you have 90 days to get married, or she must go home.

The process goes like this:

- US citizen applies to his regional service center in the US for K-1, pays fee's. (Can take from one to six months.)

- Eventually VISA package is sent to her country, where she is notified and asked for documents, and an interview is set up, usually within 30-60 days. (Start on day 1 having her get this stuff together!)

- A medical checkup is scheduled at a US approved clinic.

- If she passes everything a VISA is issued, usually in a matter of days.

- She comes to the US, you have 90 days to get married, she gets a temporary green card (good for 2 years).

- ICE checks up to see if you are really living as a married couple. (3AM home visits, etc.)

- After 2 years apply for a green card. Go thru another interview to prove martial status. Pass and she gets to stay.

The process isn't that complex, it is just time consuming. Time frames vary greatly. Currently in Mexico for a guy who lives in CA it is taking about 8 months before the chica gets a VISA.

She told me she had not worked in several weeks but when I did not answer her phone calls suddedly she showed up in her bikini ready to be barfined. She was working the day I left , but I got the impression from the Mamasan that she kind of comes and goes . If she is not there PM me and I will give you her cell phone # .

There IS NOW another pint sized cutie there named Trixie. Just started-- very good looking . She was a cherry girl on Santos ST for 9 months so you know she ;earned how to do something very well. Lost her cherry 4 months ago and moved to Bunny Ranch. A bundle of energy and a fun girl to be with.

Enjoy your trip -- wish I could be there but no more vacation time for a while.

KM,

Thanks for the tip(s) - I may once again be in your debt.

Axiom of friend who has frolicked the Philippines for over 20 years: repeats are never as good.

Perhaps I'll see for myself.

Curious,

Deepest appreciation for your detailed description. Seems like it's a minefield, and my inclination would be to cover all bases. But try convincing a teenage girl to plan ahead.

Tujunga --- You might consider checking travel agents in AC, they sometimes have someone who knows the process and can help the girl with the paperwork and getting all her documents in place and help prepare her for the interview for a small fraction of the cost of imm. lawyers. Being Philipino`s they probally know more about US imm. laws then anyone.

Also, the purpose of the interview is for the girl to prove she has a ongoing legitimite relationship with the guy that is headed towards marriage. Both parties must prove they are legally able to marry and have the intentions to marry. The key word being intention. You don`t have to marry, you can send the girl back, but must have the intention to marry. This is the delema of the interviewer, to find out intention.

The way you prove intention to marry is with lots and lots of pics of you and her together, hopefully with her family back in the province. Send her lots of I miss you cards and I love you cards with lots of mushy stuff written inside. Tell her to bring these with her to the interv iew.

Also, if you send her back it`s possible to reapply and get a 2cd fiance visa for her. There`s no limit to the number of fiance visas a US person can get, also no limit to the number of times a Philipina can have someone apply to bring her to the US. The law doesn`t limit the number of times.

Fooledagain1,

Thanks for perspective. These are suggestions that she can probably get her head around.

I reiterate my disclaimer: It ain't me, babe. I'm the kindly uncle.

It may sound like a great idea to bring a woman back to the states, but take a while to really think this out. Most of the women in Angeles City are there for one reason, cash. They see you, an American, as a cash account. If the Phils was a thriving economical place, would there really be a place like AC where you can get sex for a matter of tens of dollars? The clear answer is no and the women are there for the cash. They all have large families that also need cash. So take the time to consider all aspects and talk it out with some close friends. Its best to just let Angeles City be a "fantasy island" and to leave it all back there once you leave. You can always go back, there are new girls all the time. Personally, I work my ass off in the states then take two weeks out of the year to enjoy my time there. I know its tough to think that some of these sweet girls have to deal with poverty while some more undeserving people are living in luxury in your own town, but you are not the people's savior. There is nothing you can do to change the situation there unless you are a Michael Dell type. So, again, think about it deeply first...
