Introduction

I have lost count of the number of trips I have made to The Land of Smiles, this I do know was my longest. Due to a combination of factors I was due to mix 14 days holiday with 4 of work giving 18 days, 6 more than my previous longest single trip. To top it all my company offered to pay for the flight I travelled First Class with my usual airline EVA ….. lucky me! For those of you who are not aware the flight from London to Bangkok is approximately 11 hours and I always enjoy the flight on Eva whether in Evergreen, Business or First. However, having arrived in BKK things did not quite work out like this as I ended up working a lot more than planned.

My plan was to spend the first 8 days in BKK then a week in Pattaya, with the last three open. The Pattaya part was mainly to get a better feel for the place, my past visits have been mainly disappointing and I have longed to return to BKK. However with retirement high on my list of priorities and preference to live by the sea I wanted to give it a real chance and at the same time have a good look around at properties.

The trip ended up being different from all previous trips, in that I ended up spending a lot of time with two ladies, with some playing in between, rather than an out and out numbers trip. It made for a different trip, but still a very enjoyable one. Hence, the title of this report is a “A Tale of Two Ladies with some spice in-between” it makes for a less interesting report, but I will tell the tale for the record, but I will tell the tale for the record. I hope I am not getting to boring in my old age and there still some big "numbers" trips to come, perhaps I am getting too soft in falling for these ladies ... time will tell.
