I did not experience the let down that some reporters talk about when they leave. In fact I wished I could have another week to do more and be smarter about it. Maybe that’s because it was my first time, and I feel I barely scratched the surface. Maybe it takes a lot of trips to become disillusioned. I still believe I could be greatly entertained for many more trips and encourage newbies to dive in and enjoy it.

As for lessons learned/advice for newbies:
1. Next time I’d stay based in San Jose and make day trips out to interesting places, preferably by bus. There are plenty within 2 hrs drive.
2. I’d use cabs for local travel. They are cheap and plentiful.
3. Ignore the touts on the street. They’re gonna find a way to get your $ and it’s not worth it.
4. As a basic routine I’d get an eye-opener at a MP at 9AM or so, do something interesting for a few hours, then have another round in the late afternoon, great dinner, and another round to cap off the evening.
5. I’d make a more focused effort at the Extreme Lap Dance approach, getting a series of 5 or 6 low-cost, ½ hour fun-fests at MP’s outside the gulch, definitely trying some 2-fers, before popping hard with a super-hottie, maybe at NF or ZB. That could be a day all by itself. A delicious blur of nookie.
6. I’d stay at a chica-friendly hotel so I could try some take-out, be able to be spontaneous and opportunistic with chicas I’d meet anywhere, and possibly do a toda la noche with a GFE-type.

Thanks to everyone whose past contributions to online forums helped me have a great time. I hope this account helps some future players. And keep posting guys!!!!!! I’m with you in spirit.

WW, you are an excellent writter. Not too much is posted on this board anymore about CR which is too bad. I really enjoyed reading your trip report and hope you continue to explore other parts of South America and let us know what takes place.

WW, I really enjoyed the report. I am a frequent traveller to CR, and many of your comments about the rain, roads, and places hve to make me smile! Nice job!

Hi Wild. RT here.

An excellent report. IMNSHO, not enough reports include names, locations and pricing information.

It sounds like you understood the concept of research. It has always paid off for me, as well.

I like your 'Extreme LapDance' theory. I may just try it my next trip to Central America.

It is impressive how well you navigated on your first trip. I have been to CR many times, but do not get there much lately..other destinations beckon to me. Your post brought back some great memories. Sounds like a great time.

Damn, one of these days I will develop the writing skills to do a real report of my own.

WW, thanks for a great read on a great destination. Great to read about all the old haunts I used to play in. In one of my first trips, I also rented a 4x4 one time and drove all across Costa Rica picking up hitchhikers (preferably female), I can easily say that CR is one of the prettiest countries around with scenery that is other-worldly.

Are there any job oppurtunities in Costa Rica? I'm thinking about learning the language and living there for three months. Let me know if anyone has any thoughts.

Well, if you were a chica I can think of some job posibilites, otherwise how are your driving skills (like in C A B )? You won't make shit for salary.

Believe it or not, the fastest growing bussiness in San Jose is offshore sports books.

The last I heard there are no more english speaking people to work the phones, any english speaking person can hook up easily during NFL preseason, nows the time to look into it.

So you're just hanging out at your house, reading trip reports from two years ago, and you suddenly think "I think I'll go learn Spanish and live in Costa Rica".

Is that how your afternoon went? You may want to sleep on it for a couple of nights. Have you been there before? Have you been anywhere before?

I have to say for a first post, you're making us scatch our heads a bit.

If you can solve the low toilet water bowl level issue at my daughter's home I have an afternoon's worth of work for you. It might get tough after that.

Bliss: don't even get this guy drug in on your level problems. It's probably too much 2 in the H20! He's new and he might fall in............
