Well, I got to the airport, and made the flight from DFW to Frankfurt, on American Airlines. Went through security 3 times and had my bag opened, sniffed, and searched three
times getting to the connecting flight. The Germans appearantly take their security seriously. Oh, well. I had nothing to hide.....yet.
Connected there to Prague on Czech Air. Arrived at a new and modern airport, that was efficiently run, and gave no hassles at all.
I was met at the airport by the gentleman that I rented the apratment in Praha 2 from. He took me to the apt., and I settled in. I was dog ass tired, but was adamant that I not
take a nap as it would make it that much harder to adjust to the time difference. The apartment was nothing to write home about, but at 4200 kc ($180 USD) for a whole week, I
was happy. It had a kitchenette, lots of closet space, cable TV and a comfortable bed. And for 20kc ($ .87 USD), per day, high speed internet right in to room!
I went to a local restaurant and had a cup of coffee and a little something to eat. As I looked accross the street, I started laughing at the name of this bar. I have found this sort
of thing everywhere I have gone. Taking American style names seems to be popular everywhere. I guess it only makes sense though as we take foriegn names for many of our businesses as well in the US!
A peculiarity of Prague is that the Nazis gave everything an address under their system, and then when the Sovits "Liberated" them, they put their own address system in place,
without taking the old one down. They use the Red Plaques as their system though.
I stopped by a local mom and pop store to get a few things. Suprisingly a lighter (security now impounds all lighters including the ones in your checked bags), and a bottle of
water ran only 18 kc ($.78 USD). You could not buy EITHER of these in the US for that price. I got back to the apartment and unpacked my emergency kit. I have had some
emergencies in Brazil and Thailand, so this is not standard for my trips.

I went to meet Mr_BadFrosty. He's an Hombre I met in Rio in February. He is not on the board anymore, but some of you who were in Rio at that time might remember him. A young

We headed over to Big Sister. This place is like a Terma, robes and sandals included. The difference here isthat you pay a 300kc cover charge ($13.00 USD) and you pay for food
