Living in Singapore I have found one useful strategy to meeting Batam freelancers is to cruise Geylang around Lorong 12. Around there you will find dozens of Indo girls working the streets. Almost all of these girls are Batam freelancers that local pimps recuit to come make biog cash in Singapore. However, they usually only get a 2 week tourist visa. The girls are all really friendly and playful. If you are local looking you can bang them right there for S$30-35, but us whitey’s gotta pay double. That’s OK because I just take advantage of the good light, absence of booming house music, and absence of second hand smoke cloud to chat up lots of girls where are really buried in the dark recesses of the disco. The result is I collect some hotties phone numbers I can call in Batam. This is much better than being Mr. 10 trick of the day. In Batam I pay S$60 to to be one of her two LT customers of the week. Plus some of the girls make so much in Singapore they really don’t work when they return to Batam. This is my latest hook-up using this approach. Boy her nipples are so pointy and insane.

Now I have been falling into a pretty predictable routine in Batam at night; after an outdoor seafood dinner we have been retiring to my favorite drinking hole The Last Pub. The staff here is really fun and some pretty cool expat dudes hang here. The girls are not officially available for take out, but there have been some interesting hook-ups by others here. However, this is not a reliable way to plan a hook-up you will likely end up drunk waiting for the krewe to show up at No Name Pub which they never will. However, they have cycled through a number of bar staff who have gotten serious bule boyfriends and even married.

I have been busting my budget lately and staying at the Harmoni Hotel. It has a real good pool area. I had the good fortune to run into Rezah who wanted to come over for a swim (and a quickie) and she brought two parawan (virgins) who work in her store and are looking for bule boyfriends and marriage. We all had a lot of fun swimming and then all four of us cuddled on the bed while watching a DVD. Not a bad way to spend the day.

Let me be the first to say thanks. Da babes are beautiful, I really like the one in red on the bed. Got the staff to give me a tour of Harmoni last time, looked at all the different rooms and they are huge and nice. I think Ill give it a try next time. The shot of the girl in the sunglasses was super clear, looks like you had daylight and used the flash. I've done that a lot outside and it makes for some beautiful flesh tones.

I think the Gentleman's Club girl is just as wild (actually) and has a sweeter more pleasing disposition. (Not that Shona isn't sweet as well, she just requires more active management.) BTW Shona, miss you 2 much.

MX, need your opinion about the Jakarta hotel, I'm inclined to go with your rec for the Mercure Rekso on Hayam Wuruk at Mangga Besar (395K a night.) Since you know my mongering habits, I don't think a fancy hotel like the Le Meridian would appreciate the foot traffic, I just need somewhere quiet w/access to a good internet. Any other suggestions, how about the new Sparks Hotel.

Merlin, Mercure Rekso is the only hotel I've stayed in in Jakarta, Mx knows more about them than I do, but I'd say it's a good option for everything except internet access. Internet in that area of Jakarta is simply HORRIBLE. Mercure Rekso has pricy internet terminals available in their business center from 7 AM to 10 PM, but the speed during normal business hours is the absolute WORST I have ever experienced, and the price is galling given that lack of performance. There is a 24-hour internet place near the Lokasari Plaza mall (10 minute walk, 2 minute ojek ride), but the speed is poor during business hours as well.

Sparks hotel is in a good location as well, and supposedly a nice place. MongerX said that the have wireless internet access in the lobby there, but I'd imagine that the 'net chokes up during business hours like it does in the rest of that part of town.

The ultimate reason we stayed at Mercure Rekso is that there is a BlueBird taxi stand right outside the door, which is an extremely important consideration in Jakarta. The taxis in Jakarta refuse to use the meters, if they even have them, and they will gouge you at every opportunity. When you factor in that the random driver is often incompetent as well as surly about the fact that they don't speak a LICK of English, having quality taxi service is much more than a luxury.

The gouging will surely be worse at a higher end hotel unless they use the Blue Bird service exclusively as well. Paying an extra dollar or two per ride may not bother some people, but I don't really know too many people that like being GOUGED, especially by asswipes like 3rd world taxi folk.

The view of Jakarta from the upper floors of the Mercure Rekso is pretty f'in awesome. They were quite guest friendly while we stayed there, though there were some weird looks from the old biddies and leers from their old grandpa mates as mongers make up an extremely low % of their guests. There are freelancers that hang out in the lobby bar during the evening, and I think that's standard for most upscale hotels in Jakarta, which is something to consider when thinking that the more costly the place is might be a factor in their being guest friendly.

My biggest criticism of Mercure Rekso is the lack of a room safe, but not sure if they exist in other places or not. Safety boxes are available in the lobby 24x7.

Merlin--If you can find an inexpensive hotel with good internet, let me know please.

MX--You need a room with a balcony so you can banish Chona (and any others who smoke) outside to smoke. And she does require adult supervision of her liquor intake. If you regulate it, she's fine with that; if you don't, she will just keep drinking.

How did you guess I did Anis? BTW, Mary there was one of the wildest rides I had, even though she didn't fit the physical mold we like. I liked her so much I did her again--she was hornier/wilder than Anis.

Merlin, on second thought, knowing the way you like to party, I'd bet you'd be hanging out at Blok M late evenings, and Blok M is a looooong-ass way from Hayam/Wuruk and Mangga Basar. That place is quite convenient to the Chinatown short time places, though, and you'll only have to go back and forth to Blok M from your hotel once per evening.

Merlin, I am staying at Sparks Hotel now and using the internet access in the lobby (which you can use in other public areas of the hotel as well.) I like Sparks because of the kick ass location, in room safes, and great lighting in the room. The rooms are smaller than Mecure Rekso, by alot. On the other hand the decor is pretty hip and the ceiling high and stuff is well laid out.

All hotels in Jakarta are girl friendly, and many of the five star hotels have large free lancer pickup bars on premise.

However at Sparks there is a ton of places you can hit for action throughout the day. And at night some of the biggest and best discos are very close by. Also, the front desk can call you a Blue Bird taxi anytime and it will be there in less than 5 minutes.

Blok M is far away, and it is my favorite place to score an inexpensive LT friend. But there are less than five interesting bars there and one massage place (which I haven't checked out yet.) During the day it can be a brutal taxi ride, however at night, it will take about 15 minutes to get there from Kota (I.e Chinatown.)

Porker is correct about Bluebird having the best reputation and no funny business - but they hire idiots as well. I think Porker's complaint about taxi's not using the meter and trying to gouge is a bit overstated but there is some truth in that. For example never ever use the taxi's in front of My Bar and D's Place as they all have rigged meters.

HM --- Anis, without prior knowledge I pulled her out of the line-up. What a great body and lay. I just had a feeling she was exactly your type as she was exactly my type. Awesome session but her whining about wanting me to buy her pulsa has kicked her off the repeat list. Plus she wouldn't give me some naked pics. But what a fucking bombshell she is. By the way that little chinese lady mamasan is the best I have found in Jakarta.

As for Chona, she is awesome and sweet. But I like the little Gentlemans club girl better. Also, I tend to sleep much better with one chick more than two. So I will usually send one home when it's time for the big sleep.

Well, I don't have enough experience in Indonesia to say for sure, but it's certainly cheaper there. Also, language is a problem; my Brasil experience improved a lot after I learned a little Portuguese--and I speak NO Bahasa Indonesia yet. But I definitely had quality GFE and great sex even in one-hour short-time sessions (which were shorter than in Brasil, where I generally had 2 or more hour "short-times"). Anal was not on any of the menus I found, and the Indos were perhaps less uninhibited in some ways (again, small sample, no language skills).
