2002/09 Hombrecito - Live in Rio:
Day 6
Woke up about 8 am and I felt great. I considered myself lucky to have only been sick ½ day.
I hadn’t spent much time on the beach, so I took a 1 hr walk along the beach and Av. Atlantica around 9 after eating breakfast at the Debret and relaxed a bit. I recommend hitting the beach early on nice days because it tends to get crowded to mid to late afternoon. The surf was really rough and there was a nice cool breeze. I must say I was very impressed-they have a gondola that takes you up to a half way station which has great views too. From the ½ way point you then get on a second gondola up to Pao de Azucar. The views from every angle were great and I took about 50 photos. After an hour or two taking in the sights, I returned back to the hotel. I had planned on maybe seeing Corcovado the same day, but that would have taken 2 hours more minimum and I wanted to get to some of the downtown Termas by mid afternoon. The taxi driver assured me the weather would be good tomorrow as well. I saw a lot of great talent at 4x4 my last time, but my 2 garotas were not as good as I might have liked.
