BBB, fantastic report. You guys did a top notch job. Quick question for you. Why did you guys book 5 hours at the Vanity, if you were only going to have the girls over for 2 hours?

Vanity Hotel - Suite 5 hour booking - No choice - they would not book it for a shorter period - going rate is R800 so we had to work our arses off to negotiate price down to 600.

That return flight must have been hell, but a quick check on expedia did not show much better.

Camera - you are not gonna believe this - or maybe you will - as I said earlier - I am simply a dumb ass Australian.

The camera is a Sony CyberShot T1. When I bought it 18 months ago it was the top of the range in the ultra small digital camera sector.

BBB is a very simple man - hence I buy a fully automatic camera - I MEAN FULLY AUTOMATIC - AIM THE FUCKER AND PUSH THE BUTTON - the extent of my technical expertise is to turn the fucker on - nothing else.

Unbeknowns to BBB - some fucker who had been using my camera had been playing with the focus adjustment - it had been re-programmed to focus ALL pics at 0.5mtrs rather than the auto-focus setting it should have been on - well this is what my guys tell me - all fucking double dutch to me - so that is reason for fuzzy pics.

BBB is heading to China for a 10 days on Nov 10 - am buying new Casio Exilim in Changi Airport on way - will see if I can get you guys a better result on the Chinese / Mongolian / Russian babes that I encounter there.

I had similar blur problems with an older model Cybershot, it seemed somewhat random. In googling your model, I immediately found similar complaints regarding blur, including from the editorial staff of a camera review publication.

I can't imagine my older Cybershot had a unique problem with blurry pics. I'm sure Sony received complaints and didn't do enough to fix the problem if they addressed it at all. It's disappointing that this model has the same problems. No more Sony Cameras for me. I like my Casio Exilim, though. It's an older model but it rocks and NEVER a problem with blurry pics.

You should buy your camera here, not a foreign airport. The security of being able to bring it back to a store if there are problems will be worth any extra expense in my opinion.

I recently bought a Casio EX-Z750 compact that is a tremendous camera. The pictures are crisp, clear and in focus, unlike your's BBB. It's 7.2 mega pixels, but extremely easy to set to lower resolution.

How much I spent - Hmmmm................lets see.............Apt at US65 x 7 nights = US455.........R1,000 withdrawal x 6 withdrawals = AD3,584.18 = approx USD2,688

But all is not as bads as that might seem.

I cashed FF miles to get business class travel all the way from Australia to Rio and return - great friend of mine made this possible by swapping me UA miles for Sing Air miles - apartment is tax deductible to me as a business expense - and lets just say the spending money came from sources that out tax department are not fully aware the origin.

Yes maybe it does sound like a lot of money - but one thing I can tell you is that when they pour BBB into his grave - then his heirs aint gonna be fighting over much of a estate.
