The flights out with Emirates were excellent. Manchester Dubai Bangkok ,the pre ordered food arrived and we were on time. Changed cash at the airport and set off for a taxi. Hardly any queue and our man was so eager to save juice he pushed his taxi to the start line. He whipped open the boot to reveal a LPG tank that took up half the boot (trunk). He must have been a removal man in a former life as he managed to fit 2 cases 2 hand luggage two sets of golf bats and 2 falangs in the taxi. Off we sped to the Nana Hotel.

Our first beer was in the Nana Coffee Shop after we had checked in. Again they were expecting us and our rooms were fine for the one night stop. The Coffee shop had a collection of older ladies keen to hook newcomers before the real talent turned up. A largish lady asked if she could join us and rapidly went into her sales pitch. So if you fancy an older fat lady who says she deep throats and despite being fat has a tight pussy you know where to find one. I cannot vouch for her skills but she was correct about being fat.

We moved to the Nana Beer Bar had a meal at the Food Court on Soi 7 and onto the Beer Garden before trying Angelwitch and Rainbow 4. What surprised me that since my last trip all the girls Beer bar or GoGo had got into the price fixing business. I assume it’s the BHU Bangkok Hookers Union. Every one quoted me 3000 LT. I did eventually get a discount down to 1500 but it pissed me off and I declined.

I took one from the car park and got serviced twice before I signed her release form and slept up to 8am.

Friday

Had a cracking breakfast and did the deal for a large taxi to Pattaya. This time all our luggage went in the boot!

We arrived at the Flipper Lodge at noon and we went to Walking St to the Covent Garden Complex to see how Rolling Stone Two was progressing. Utter chaos as furniture was being delivered cleaning up everywhere. Noi confirmed ‘open tonight’. So my mission was to be the first to ring the bell, which incidentally had not been hung yet.

We went to Welkom Inn for lunch and then inside to the bar. The ladies have a wonderful technique of coming up to you fondling your bits and making a sales pitch. I got several interesting offers but declined and after taking a couple of breaths a new lady moved in. My mate was hooked by the sales pitch of the first lady and shot off to the room. He told me later she delivered in full.

I decided to save myself for the evening and caught a baht bus to Soi 8 and settled in to the Cherry Bar as the skies darkened. Hammer duly turned up and we had a couple of beers together. At the end of the bar and Aussie Customer was sitting under a brolly sheltering from the rain.

That night we started off at Love Joys Bar then down to Walking Street to ring that bloody bell. As we approached Gary was looking the other way and the bell was duly rung. Girls raced back to the bar for the drink interrupting their meals etc. Gary was a bit narked as his plan was to wait until I got a couple of yards from the counter and he was going to ring it first to thwart me.

We had a meal at Nang Nual and hit FLB and Rolling Stone One. Before I new where we were it was midnight and I was knackered and a little bit pissed. I made my excuses and left. I popped into a Gogo to try and track down a friend but she had retired. So I decided to do the same. A couple of yards from the Flipper I heard the plaintive cry of Jaime and I was lured by an old friend to her bar. She arrived after I had left but was told a falang asked for you and gave out candies. Jaime is back and I was hooked.

Saturday

It appears I got to bed at 5am rat arsed. So much for an early night. The cleaners had to wake me at 3.30 pm to clean the room. I made breakfast just 8 hours after my mate.

Had a drink and a few games at the Cherry Bar even won twice at 3D Connect 4 until she got the hang of it. At 6 that night booze was off the menu because of an election. They hadn’t heard about it at the Green Bottle and we were able to booze and watch the Premiership on the big screen. Back in Soi 8 it was like a Gogo when the police are coming all the naked ones vanish and the bikini ones appear as if by magic. Only this time it was the booze that disappeared from the bar tops. Other bars stuffed glasses in the beer coolers and kept topping you up from the bottles under the counter.

Sunday

Up at 10am and breakfasted at the Pig and Whistle then back to the room for a mans breakfast. We then went to Jomtiem fishing Park where we caught three between us and of course N took the money with the biggest fish.

At the next peg were 2 Jocks who were going home that night and had the theory that fishing was good preparation for the flights as they wouldn’t get pissed fishing. Not sure how the theory failed because they were back fishing on Thursday.

That night we ate at Vientianne on Walking Street which was excellent. Visits to Rolling Stone 1 and 2 and Love Joys where I rang the bell.

My comments relate more to a visit in June where I had no problem in getting LT for 1000 Baht. Yet only 4 months later I was quoted 3000 by all and sundry. I paid 1000 in Pattaya for LT with no fee discussion and no problems when it was tucked in the hand bag!

which is why i dont spend a lot of time in BKK, and go to Pattaya

I have never been but may try it next April as I have snapped up a cheap flight to Bangkok and completely forgotten about Songkran!
It is cheap in the PI with barfines at 15usd also Batam.
