Chapter 4: Back to Boracay

Well, I had tentative plans to return to Boracay because I love the place but only had one girl in mind. I talked to a girl from Honeykos about it on my first night but found out she was 17 so that was out of the question. Fake ID or not, no way was I risking it. Luckily I reunited with a girl that I have known for a while. I first met her on my very first trip and she was a door girl at Camelot. Many of you may remember this hottie when she would always wear her white jacket and skirt in front of Camelot. I was always drooling over her but she was a real cherry girl. She finally fell for a young Aussie guy in the last year and he broke her in and pulled her out of the bar scene. Luckily for me she just returned to a bar as a dancer and had been working there a week with a fresh broken heart. I trust that this girl is telling me the truth as we have been friends a while and I dont think she ever thought of me as someone other than friends. Well we hit it off one night in her bar and things clicked immediately. I didnt barfine her just yet but kept her in mind. Visited her on consecutive nights and she was more and more affectionate...on a Sunday night, I asked her if she wanted to go to Boracay Wednesday and she was excited. At this point I had not done anything with her so it was risky. I really needed some down time on this trip so it really didnt matter to me if the trip was a bust as far as my choice was concerned.

Anyways, I wanted to go on Tuesday and return Thursday because I could take the direct fights from Clark to Caticlan but the Korean tour groups from Clark are buying those up in blocks so ony one seat available. Flew the the flight on Wednesday and you have to start the day early so I had her stay the night. Luckily, the sex was great with her on our first night, although I could tell she lacked experience. Nice tight little ass with nubile tits and flawless skin. Oh how I wish she would have allowed nude photos..I even tried to bribe her. Her face is cute but it is her body that sets her apart.

We had to get up at 6am to take a trike to Clarkton Hotel for the free shuttle to the airport. The flight left at 7:30 am to Manila. Flight was about 15 minutes in the air. In Manila, they had us get off the plane and check back in our carry on bags through the domestic airport only to end up on the same plane. Only in the Phils. We were sitting in a hot small plane for an hour and a half as the President was on the runway and no planes can leave during that time. The flight to Caticlan was sketchy. As soon as we got close to Caticlan, the weather was nasty and the plane was rocking and rolling. On a plane that small it looked as if we were going to crash into the runway. Somehow, the pilot corrected the plane at the last moment and we landed one wheel at a time and the brakes were late so we ended up in the grass. Took a trike to the boat terminal and here is where the Caticlan people really do their damndest to get you at every turn. First you pay 40 pisos to go the distance of about 1/8 of a mile(its walkable but I had a girl with me), then you have to pay a boat terminal fee of 20 pisos each person(I think) and then you go on a small boat that goes 15 feet to the larger bangka and you have to pay 5 pisos each person. Other boats were docked on the pier. I guess the boats have some scam set up where they avoid the pier so that their cousins can make some quick cash. At about 120 pisos a boat all day long, that guy is making a mint in the PI with a boat that probably couldnt go 3 kilometers withoug sinking. Anyways, I think it was 40 pisos each person for the boat ride but I am not sure about that either. We arrived at a place called Daves Straw Hat Inn and I had prepaid for one night. Place was nice on the internet photos but was way inland and not worth the 1,250 a night. I wanted to leave right then but had to stay one night. Immediately, got something to eat and I started checking out other hotels and there were tons available for about 2,000 pisos a night and they were right on the beach. I wanted this huge bungalow at Boracay Chalet with our own porch and hammocks but she wanted a place closer to the action on Boat Station One so we chose that one and its called Crystal Sands. It was a nice place with a nice room and I paid 2,125 for one night. Here are some photos of the rooma and the view. Do note that their is a cock fighting farm in a shack close by and they WILL wake you up early

The first day it rained most of the day which gave us some time to get to know each other in a biblical sense. We took a nap and woke up late to head over to the Beachcomber near Station One. This place is very cool with giant pillows on a mat and the table is low and on the sand. Lots of candles and the food is very good. We chatted a lot about each others former significant other and I could see she was opening up to me but still a little hung up on her cherry buster former bf. I was cool with that and she was pleasant to hang around with although she tried to get a bit bossy at times and I had to set her straight. As sweet as Filipinas are, they are still women and they do try to test your limits. If they feel they can get some control, the manipulation doors open and they become the boss. I wasnt having that shit, I like equality. Funny though, after I ignored her a bit our sessions became better.

Mostly, I just hung out near the hotel at these cool chairs and drank beer and ate seafood. We did a bit of shopping but she was real good about not trying to buy everyone she knows a pasalubong like my ex gf would do. I wouldnt have minded either way as the souvenirs there are really cheap. The main area for shopping is called D'Mall and it has expanded into a huge area with a few more shops and a lot more restaurants. Most of the restaurants though are of the FIlipino variety where they can eat "family style" as it is cheaper. Not my thing. Most of the Filipino families like to stay in bungalows inland where they can house 20 people or more at a time.

Here are some random photos of Boracay of the area in front of the hotel.

Luckily on the last day, the weather was great and we hired a boat for 4 hours for 1,200 pisos. First he took us to a place called Crystal Cove which has a bat cave, crystal cave and some odd ceramic animals throughout the island. He then took us to a sanctuary where I did some snorkling and the fish were quite colorful. I did see several fish with the same markings as Nemo. The last stop was at shell beach where the beach has puka shells all over it. There is a cute little restaurant there that has great seafood, especially grilled squid.(pusit). Bought some more shell necklaces, rosary beads and pearl earrings for some girls in Angeles and my sisters. Try not to tell the girls in Angeles that you are going to Boracay or all of them will ask you to buy them a gift. In the USA, it is considered extremely rude to ask someone to buy you a gift but in the Philippines it is normal and the girls WILL remember if they asked you to get them a pasalubong(gift) and they will give you the silent treatment if you didnt get one. Well here are some photos of my girl and of our boat trip.

Nice Report.

Blz,

I am considering between El Nido (northern Palawan; a private resort) and Boracay where they have been boasting their "white sand beach" as being the "world's best".

Tell me, is Boracay OVERATED? I was very happy in El Nido when I last visited but never ever went to Boracay.

My fear is that it's "spoilt", overrun with uncaring tourists and a depleted "world's best beach".

Tell me I should go. Am thinking of bringing that chika ex- My Bar!

Hey Blazers, I thought this was an interesting and informative report. Some quite good photos to balance it and of course a very cute gal too! If you learn to "capture the moment" better as a photographer this will really perfect your trip reports. All in all you momentarily whisked me off to another world.

If you want nightlife Boracay, but if you want snorkeling, privacy, scuba, a vaariety of activities and so forth Palawan hands down. You can save a lot of money staying at Dos Palmas, Puerto Princesa or Coral Bay , Coron, the town of El Nido, El Nido or in Puerto Princesa and pay the day use fee for a boat and full use of the expensive resort, usually P1500 for Filipinos and P2500 foreigner. Go out early and stay late while hitting some other islands on the way. If someone is in the Coron, El Nido, Taytay, or other areas I would love to know the day use fees there too. I know about Lally's in el Nido but would like to know about similar places in Palawan.
fees for those expensive resorts too.
