After many, many extended trips to Rio, my best friend - who is Columbian - convinced me to try Cartagena.

He is originally from Barranquilla and met a great working girl, Sandra, on one of his previous trips to his hometown. The set-up was that I was going to meet one of Sandra's friends and shag up with her. Our hotel was the DeCameron, which is an all-inclusive hotel.

Her friend Marcela was 18, tall, had a great body, and was decent looking. That same night we all went dancing, but the whole time Marcela was not too approachable. She was not very affectionate, which after many trips to Rio is pretty much a must. That same night we returned to the room and it was mechanical sex, with a covered BJ. Yes, I was disappointed and worse I was going to be stuck with her for three nights.

The next morning, after much effort, again very mediocre sex. After breakfast and time at the beach, we all returned to the room to relax. I was ready for action, but my girl was more interested in watching TV.

Shit, that was enough for me. I talked with my friend and wanted to send her back to Barranquilla. This obviously did not make her happy, nor her friend - too bad!!!! I preferred to freelance the two remaining nights I had in Cartegena and not waste my time or money on a dead fish.

After negotiating her ride home, plus 100K Pesos for the first night, plus 100K Pesos for the partially completed day, she packed her bags and we took her to the bus station. She was visibly upset and told her friend that she could not understand what happened. Apparently it is not her nature to be very affectionate.

That same night I visited La Dolce Vida and was pleasantly surprised at the quantity and quality of the women there. After 12:00am the place was swarming with beautiful woman. My friend and his girlfriend had decided to come with me as well, but decided to wait in the casino during my selection process.

Initially upon walking in, I noticed an incredibly hot woman walking past me with a guy. She turned around and smiled at me, but unfortunately left the bar. After fending of a couple of girls, I decided to sit at a table and take my time to pick the right one.

Lucky me, the girl that had previously left the bar returned. I could not stop starring at this beauty. After grabbing her attention, she sat down at my table. Her name was Valeria and she spoke very good English. Damm, what a hottie.

Next came sticker shock. She wanted 400K for the entire night and 200K for 2 hours. I knew that was extremely high, but she was so damm stunning. We finally settled on 200K for the entire night after interviewing her for the job - key requirement, no covered BJ, BBBJ was a must, plus kissing. She agreed and we both walked over to the casino and told my friend we were leaving.

So, to sum it up - my trip started very disappointing, but ended quite well. Using my interview skills learning in Rio also came handy in Cartagena as well.

I have kept in touch with Valeria and will probably book another trip to see her soon again. That is, if I have time between my trips to Rio.

I gotta tell you, in the few times I went to LDV they had the best lineup of anyplace I had ever been too - jawdropping.

I got intel from outside this board that currently, Casanova's in Bogota had an even better lineup than LDV. I found that hard to believe and confirmed it a couple of weeks ago myself. LDV is still the king as far as Im concerned.

Sorry for my delayed response, but I just got back from a trip in Rio and was "busy" :-)

1)How does the talent compare to Rio? From the one club I visited, La Doce Vida, looks wise they are up there. Quantity is good as well, but nothing - and I mean nothing - compares to visiting 'Help' in Rio on a weekend during peak season (i.e. going into February/Carnival time) from a selection perspective.

2) Interview questions - In 'Help' I always ask for what is important to me 1) BBBJ 2) DFK/ng I used that same principal in Columbia. My overall impression is, however, that you are more apt to receive both in Rio versus Columbia. I do speak some Portuguese, but found it hard to switch over to Spanish. Luckily the girl I met spoke pretty good English. In La Doce Vida several girls that approached me appeared to speak some English which made the interview process easier.

3) Pricing - I think the average seems to be in the 100K - $200K range, but just like anything you will pay more for that luxury car that can demand higher prices. NEGOTIATE, NEGOTIATE, NEGOTIATE!!!! Obviously the best looking girl in the place will most often want the highest price, especially if she is in great demand. Afterall we are in a free market :-)

My key advise to new guys - regardless if this is in Rio or Columbia - 1) Make sure you get good "vibes". 2) If she rushes you to the room without at least wanting to have a BS conversation, say 'bye' to her because your session will suck 3) If at all possible, try to start making out a little in the bar. Obviously not within the first minutes, but move slowly into it as your initial meeting progresses. Again, if she is not receptive to making out, my personal experience has been that I have been dissappointed 98% of the time with the session. Now, I will NEVER leave with a girl unless she does some kissing during our initial meeting. This seems to work in Columbia or in Brazil (Mexico is a different story all together, where it is has been very hard for me to find a girl that kisses)!!

Comparing Cartegena to Rio is very difficult. Rio is a big city, with tons of people and more things to do. Cartegena is more of a sleepy, quiet town. Rio has action pretty much all day and night, Cartegena action is more confined to the night unless you already hooked up with a girl that stays with you during the day.

Overall, I felt more safe in Cartegena then I typically do in Rio.

The girl from Columbia was quite memorable and ranks right up there in my Top 10 (which includes mostly selections from Brazil, a couple Germany FKK session, and one very drunk Mexican chick in Tijuana).

Hey Marv- Looks like noone here has the balls to call you on this one. Well, no offense, but... Sorry dude, 200K for an LDV chica is about double the going rate (regardless of looks) that experienced mongers pay for toda la noche. I've noticed that the vast majority of guys who pay 200K and up are one or more of the following: 1. very unattractive (nothing much you can do about this except showering and wearing clean clothes) 2. don't treat the girls with respect (a lot you can do about this) and/or 3. are ignorant of the price structure (a lot you can do about this).

You say that you have mongering experience in Brazil- well, I wish you would have put that experience to use and negotiated more effectively. It is guys like you who are doing a wonderful job of ruining places like Cartagena. And yes, I know Valeria well and have often done her for 100,000 CP a night.

Sometimes timing can get you a real good price as well. Like if you get a girl who is new to the LDV scene she is not likely to start high to begin with. However even seasoned pro's can be easily negotiated.

I posted these girls before but as an example:

These first two were from LDV at 100,000 COP for the night. Made my intentions clear. Both were sweethearts. It was the brunette's very first time stepping into LDV the night I took her. She was so full of energy she tackled me onto the sofa couch the moment we got to my apartment and we went on to shake the walls of Jericho. As for the blonde, she had been a nightly fixture at LDV for months and seemed bored with LDV altogether. These next two were from the Beach from Tony #1. My buddy and I went to meet Tony at 1pm. Told him what we wanted told him we would be back READY TO AT 3pm. We left the beach and grabbed some lunch and returned at 3pm. Both girls were perfect and we left. Tony didn't seem one bit upset that he didn't make a cent from us (no drinks, umbrella, chair, etc.. They didn't set a price but since we were returning to Medellin that same day, we gave them each 80,000 COP even though they didn't have to split with anyone (like Tony).

is like 20 hours. Columbia is less than 10. It seems like I am better off going to Cartagena rather than Barranquilla. Is LDV the only place t meet garotas? I want to maximize my money and minimize

Arte, few can err by hitting Colombia. There are many ways to meet pros in CTG. The best way is during your daily interaction with people.

BAQ is a little cheaper and has better air connections.
