Intro
Itin for the trip will be as follows:
BOS-JFK-SIN-JKT-BATAM-SIN-BKK-PATTAYA-BKK-PP-BKK-SIN
It will roughly break down to a week in indo, little less than 2 weeks in LoS, and a week in Cambo. I’ll stay at either the Novatel or Sheraton in JKT, JW Marriot in BKK, Sheraton Resort in Pattaya, and planning on booking Hope and Anchor Hotel in PP. overall, a pretty damn good line-up of pads to spread my good humanitarian seeds and sleep!
I took UAL to SIN. I must be getting spoiled, growing, or UAL is shrinking Econ PLUS—it was quite cramped with the person reclined in front of me. In fact, the segment from JFK-NRT was borderline at best in terms of comfort. Technically, besides some equip failure delaying our departure from JFK, the flight was uneventful. The NRT connection was smooth (for once). I got into SIN at 11:45, picked the customs agent from hell (slowest agent by a factor of 4), and finally got through customs and the taxi line at 12:30.
The trip is beginning with a JKT romp with my fellow guide and hombre, MongerX, I crashed at his pad upon my arrival in SIN (thanks for the hospitality and invite!). Given the hour and our early morning departure, there wasn’t much time except for a short chit chat, picture viewing session (quite nice I may add), and a short shower. MX booked my flight on Adam Air. Never heard of them, but the price was right (one way SIN-JKT for 100SIN).
Well here I am on the flight to JKT. Adam Air has assigned seating, but the flight is only around 40% capacity, so folks can change seats as they wish. Luckily so, as I was booked in seat 4A, and the seats are made for someone 5’5” or under. I quickly moved into row 1, the bulkhead row, which all seats were strangely enough unoccupied. They serve food (in contrast with tiger air). On the menu was a cold and dry McDonalds hamburger and choice of tea or water. I stuck with a water and donated the hamburger to needy—I need all the karma I can muster up. The flight is 1:20 and bearable. The stewardesses are quite cute—in fact I would happily give 2/4 of them some good ole fashion DM loving. Cute stewardess are a great way to get my “pumped” up about a new locale and these cuties fit the bill.
My thoughts 30 minutes before landing… I miss all things LoS, BUT I can’t wait to finally check out Jakarta. I must admit it is REAL hard psychologically not making a beeline for LoS, but I am not one for repetition (historically speaking). Having just spent 3 weeks in LoS last month, I would of felt like quite the pansy monger if I blew off jkt and pp once again. Besides LoS gets damn expensive after a while as I haven’t learned the tenets of moderation (and don’t plan to). I’m sure it will be okay, I’m just hoping my dick doesn’t fall off with all the related posts lately…
Over ‘n out.

Intro follow-up
Hotel:
I x'ed the Sheraton and stayed at Sparks Hotel with Crazier and MX. I figured this would be prudent since I am more than a little green when in comes to indo. I liked the sparks hotel a lot-- a great bargain at kaha rates. The only real downside is lack of quality internet service, but this appears to be regional and not specific to Sparks.

Booked at kaha in jkt is was around 265k rup/n
Karma:
Any karma built up with my burger donation was quickly evaporated...
