Many of the same things dicussed in my Bangkok guide will overlap with Pattaya. I will not discuss airport to your hotel, thai girls, katoeys, communication, etc. Pattaya is a better destination for newbies because there are more girls in a small area and it's nice to get out of the city. I have been there 9 times in the past year and a half but there are those who know more and they will chime in on their opinion of certain venues. My ratings of bars are reflected in the fact that I like younger spinners with olive to dark skin. Hope this helps.
