Phnom Phen Hostess Bars:

DV8: friendly girls, pool table, take out possible (mixed in w good girls) but did not partake as there was nothing to MY liking. Some cuties, no hotties. Several girls w passable english.

Zanzibar: people in other boards tout this place. I walked into it a couple of times and was not impressed by the looks or the ratio. I would check again nevertheless.

Fleur D'Leise: hardly any english, one super cutie (good girl and my future wife if I have anything to do with it) and 1 former hottie (still hot actually but way above average in age). Fairly quiet and mellow bar, a bit boring to be truthful.

Bar 104: again some chicks available for take out, some are not. A couple of hotties, a couple of cuties, the rest average. Fussball table -only one I saw and a welcome change from pool. One of the chicks there can play a mean game. This bar can have a party atmosphere occasionally.

Rose Bar: me and my buddies favorite spot. Much has been written about this bar: some positive, a lot negative. Most of the bad center around the unavailability of the chicks. That is NOT the case. Some are, some are not. Be crafty and U will figure it out. Some have said that it takes a 'courtship' to take a girl out and she may still not put out even after you have paid the outrageous $5 barfine. NOT the case: I had a big tittied viet in bed by day two, did her for 3 nights and at the end I gave her a $20. However, one of my buddies did get played by a girl who acted very slutty in the bar and then turned into the virgin Mary. No stress: she was fun to hang for $5 and she had a smoking bod (will post Rose bar pics later).
One nice thing about this bar is that the owner tries to keep a fair amount of hotties around, she has about 20-25 girls on staff, about 15 or so of them per shift always.

As it has been mentioned in previous reports by Merlin and others the scene in PP is VERY dynamic and fluid. These applies to all venues, they come and go. During my random tuk tuk travels in the middle of the night I saw SO many bars usually w 5-6 girls that you could be busy for a few weeks just checking them out. No worries, I will do that for you later in the year.

Wow, most of these bar names, except Zanzibar, are new to me. A lot must have changed from about a year ago when I was last there. Did U hang out at Martinis at all and how is that place doing. I also heard that some of the houses are run by mamasans from the now closed Svay Pak area.

All of these names are new to me as well but I have not been back there for almost 2 years now. I wonder if these are the same places but new names.

Merlin, I did hang out at Martinis...I will write about it in the FL area section. There was a SP migration to the city and will write re that in the Other venues section.

PhDMonger: it could be that they are the same, probably likely due to their close location and clumping w ea other.

As I mentioned b4 during my random eve travels I saw so many different small bars that looked like it would be good hunting for diamonds in the rough. I am going back in 6 months and will spend significant energy investigating those.

There are much easier ways of digging up hotties than hanging at these bars... ;)

I prefer the local beer girl hangouts over places such as DV8/1zero4, etc.

DM...I am sure you are right. Regrettably, first time trips can be limited by several factors despite best intentions.

Ahh..yes Shangai. Forgot to put something on it...here it goes.

Shangai: close to Walkabout, Heart of D, Butterfly and the Flamingo Hotel. My buddy was not too impressed w the talent, "what is the big deal?". I thought that, while there was a lack of hotties there were plenty of cuties. The staff is somewhere around 20 at anyone time (disclaimer: I only stuck my head there a few times, possible that was when top talent had been snagged already). Shangai sort of reminded me more of an american yuppie bar than any of the others. The girls were dressed nicely in black (the times we were there). Take out is possible and the girl do put out (hearsay, did not sample). Good hangout specially if staying at Flamingos.

DM, I figured those beer girls might be more the style you were looking for to give your English lessons to. Good to hear you tracked them down. I wish I could have stuck around longer but with only two days it's nothing but serial short time sesions for me.

Unfort I just had Ben drive to a few (beer girl bars), so I don't recall the names, but there's an abundance of them about.
It takes some time invenstment (or luck) to pull beer girls generally, but there were two places Ben took me to that allowed one to negotiate directly with the gal (assuming they were on the menu).

Sancho-- I honed in on one sweety that was exactly my type at Sharky's (staff gal)... could be a longer term project, but worth the effort IMHO ;)

I agree with C-- I was none too impressed with Shanghai Club.

DM...that is just the thing: if one were to stay in PP for some extended period of time then the doors to heaven would just open up. I can even start imagining how much play one would get from the good girls if you had the time to invest.

Yeah, Sharkeys was always a place just to hangout for a beer and pool; the place never had the type of gals I was looking for. Still, it was neat to have such a "nice" club that made you feel like you were at home and they used to play some good classic rock.

So DM, you finally made it to Cambo after all those cancellations, I hope you write something up as well, curious as to how you liked it and if it was worth your while to take time from LOS.

Re: Sharky P4P girls-- they did nothing for me. However the staff girl kept me quite interested in the place ;)

Concarne- your right on there. The "good" girls certainly ain't going to be swept off their feet by a couple cokes and some sweet talking one night. You need to be a regular of sorts and really work it. I've got an email address to continue my romancing while afar as I'm not local. I think I sucessfully charmed her under the DM spell after three visits, but that still only got me some hand holding. Her smile and personality was more than enough to keep me satisfied.

Same same here DM: I got some stuff that I am working including the good girl cutie from RB that I posted the pic just now.
I plan on hitting Cambo again at least once if not twice this year and at some point I will spend at least a month working there...you guys are all welcome. If enough of you all will visit I may just get a big party pad.

I hit most of these bars (and maybe a few more) but always considered them hang out places. Why bother with these girls when you could go to a brothel, massage or one of the numerous freelancer joints?

Is Le Cyrcee (lycra no panties), Mikado and the other "grope" bars still good? Used to hangout at these places for hours.

Yup still same same. However, I found Sophies to be stocked with better and more cute chicks.

Epi kind of hit it at a busy moment and got stuck with a couple grandmas, but the first time I went in, I got two pretty good looking ladies who knew how to please the ole DM. I went back with Sandman and the place was empty (of men) and I had all I could do to choose amongst 6 or so cuties ot suck away.

In these small bars timing is everything.

BTW, Sophies consistently delivered the best BBBJs to be had in Cambo-- no contest. Viet or not.

Bbig12-- same here. That was my feeling about these places as well.

Where is Rose Bar Concarne? Will have to make a visit when in PP later this month after your more than positive report. Have tried DV8 and all the others you mention. Never saw anything decent at any of them and zero atmosphere. I personally like Shanghai for a drink and game of pool in the early evening before getting into serious monger mode and find the selection of girls pretty good. Not sure about the scene though. Never pulled a girl from there (never felt a girl would go). Did see a young bloke come downstairs with a young hottie from Shanghai "the morning after" at the Flamingo on one trip so can confirm they are bar-fine-able to some at least (maybe not to those getting a little grey around the gills like me though!)

Rob...the RB is on 104 street. It is near the dock where you take the boat to Siem Riep as well as near the corner where you get drop off by the bus from Siem Riep.

RB was good times. I will definetely go back. Maybe we will get to party there sometime. Will be in PP in July and Dec.
