CALI came with me to go check out RioSul, which is one of the big malls here in Rio. We were not too impressed with what they were selling but were impressed with the women that worked there. If you have a chance, go there or the other big mall (I forget the name) and you will see some of the most beautiful women in the world.
On our way out these two girls pass by us and make eye contact. I smile and maintain eye contact. They pass us and I motion for them to come over. Now this would NEVER happen in the states. I don’t know about you, but I’m not use to girls smiling at me when I am home. These girls are gorgeous and from the conversation they said that they recognized us from the termas. Both worked at 4x4 and both were very beautiful! Now why didn’t I see them when I was putting Sleeping Beauty to rest?
They introduced themselves we gave them the obligatory two kisses on alternating cheeks. One of the girls said her name was Jennifer and I questioned her more about it since it was not a Brazilian name. She then revealed that it was her stage name and both told us their real names. I just wish I had more time because these girls were really digging us.
As we left, we told them we would look for them on Monday at 4x4.
I get back and pack my bags. Roberto takes me to the airport where I take a flight to Sao Paulo.
Sao Paulo
This would be the beginning of me spending time with some of my local friends. Chave was right about everything he said – that I would not be having as much fun. I still remember him jokingly saying, “Go have fun and enjoy the museums and stuff.”
He was right.

I really enjoyed your post, I went to Rio last March with 4 friends, and will return this March possibly by myself, I have a few questions; if you enjoyed Centaurus on your 1st day how come you never went back?, why didn't you go to Monte Carlo, or the new terma next to L'uomo, Bononia?
I agree in your interviewing and out of 22 terma girls, the only bad experiece i had is one who wouldn't kiss in the Boite.
I am also surprised that you didn't try any of the smaller terma's in Rio such as club 22, I had a great experience there.
I am confused about TA, i heard that the food is horrible there from other posts, and you enjoyed it, I would like to know what others think
all of the other web sites are preaching bad crime, I didn't experience any last year and was wondering if it has gotten worse.
What was the age group of your friends, I just turned 50 have been mongering for 12 years; 30 times to Costa Rica; 1st trip to Rio last year and a trip to Bankock in November, I will be in Rio from March 10th for 10 days.

Robertj-
Thanks for your comments. Looking back I really should have gone back to Centaurus. I really wanted to repeat with Diana...I guess I didn't go because I met so many people to hang out. It was more fun to go in a group to places rather than go somewhere alone.
I have never heard of Club22 or Bononia...if the quality is good, you will find me there next time...I don't recall these places mentioned in Bwana's guide to Rio. Can you tell me more about them?
As far as bad crime at TA, I did not hear of or see anything during my time there....and I was there quite a bit.
Every person mentioned in my report I met while in Rio. These are a great group of guys and I still do keep in touch with a alot of them. They are ranged from their 20's all the way to 50 and better.
I think Nellie may be in Rio in March...you should look him up..

Bononia Terma is mentioned on page 25 of Bwana's guide, it is one block from L'UOMO AND OPENED IN 11/05, he gave it a good review as an up and coming terma, he did not mention 22 which is a block from monte carlo, opens early afternoon and has a few nice girls, it has beed mentioned on this site, I will go to the cafe and try to hook up with some of the guys in March.

bononia was weak when it opened but by 2 weeks ago vastly improved talent. then it got busted and was not back open mon when i left. check with ken. TA has by and largely great food , sometimes too salty but that is common in rio. soups awesome, good steaks. best for lunch as great view and service. at night service can be slow unless you know the waiter. crime right now is bad , high season , carnival. pm me for cell as i should be back in rio around 3/8. always up for a terma run. i am the termaholic mentioned earlier.

Right now, they're saying they will re-open on Friday. I'll post in chat when we get official definite word.

I agree with Sweet about the food at TA. I haven't ordered too many of the different dishes myself--I mostly got one steak or another, plus one delicious chicken dish--but I've tasted various others, and they were generally quite good.
My preferred MO is to get there a little before 10, get a table with a good view, and have a leisurely dinner while checking out the talent and the various mini-dramas unfolding around us--maybe even getting involved in a few.
