Not much to write about here. I went out to the mall to have lunch with some local friends. Here is some useless information I found out:

1) Wal-Mart just bought a brand of grocery stores called Nacional. In less than six months all of those stores would be converted to Wal-Mart.
2) Within two years, all of Brazil will be have digital TV and it will be free to everyone. I asked whether the rural parts of Brazil will also see this happen and was told probably not.
3) A friend of a friend came to the US and bought a Jeep Cherokee. They shipped it back to Brazil, put about 30,000 km on it and then sold it for R$90,000. DAMN, I’m in the wrong business.

Later on I would go to Sauna Karan D’Ache and then to Carmen’s. I was too picky and did not wind up taking anyone at either place.
