This weekend I visited friends in RP and had a chance to check out a little nightlife. RP is not a good mongering destination. Prices are high and selection is slim. But I know some of the Arizona guys get over there from time to time so I thought I would give an update. I preface this report by saying that I did not do any mongering as I was with my chilanga. The first part of the report is a prelude to the actual report on the titty bars I visited.

After spending the entire afternoon drinking at the beach with my girl and my local buddy, we started out the night at “Margaritavilla” Those that are familiar with RP will know that this is a shithole good only for cheap drinks and finding the occasional loose American woman. Saturday night was no exception. About the only thing of note was the extremely fine Mesera that was working the bar. I fell in love. I got the definite impression, that this girl is a partier and may be up for some side income. My friend confirmed that there are rumors as much. She is about 5’ 5” about 120 pounds. Really nice body. Maybe 25 years old. Speaks almost perfect un- accented English. I forget her name. But she is very very nice. Maybe one of the single mongers with a little game could follow up on this. I could not because I had adult supervision. An interesting side note: This used to be a functioning bordello and the tiny little fuck rooms in back are now rented out to people looking for a cheap place to crash.

From MargaritaVilla we moved on to a local bar at the Hotel Paraiso del Desierto. This place was jam-packed. It is primarily a local place, but I felt no hostility toward whitey. I did see two other Americans. There were a lot of very nice locals here. This is a Milkman type place. It plays a mix of banda, Norteno, Spanish rock and Dance. It looked like there were lots of available girls just waiting for someone with game. I got some long smoldering looks even with my girl present. Once again, maybe some of the Arizona Mongers could check this out.

We arrived in time for a dancing contest and a Karaoke contest. My chilanga is a pretty good singer and does a lot of karaoke here in TJ. So she entered the Karaoke contest. The prize was a bottle of Buchanans. We told her if she did not win, she was going to have to accompany us too Gua Guas and Las Dunas(Local titty bars) . There were only three contestants. My girl won and I was about to get surprised. After collecting her prize she said, “ I think we should celebrate my victory at Las Dunas” I about fell out of my chair. She has never been in a titty bar in her life. And has always turned down my suggestions to go.

So we were off to Las Dunas. Las Dunas was new to me but I believe it has been around a couple of years. It is considerably nicer than Gua Guas. There was no cover. Drinks were 25 pesos for beer and 35 pesos for mixed drinks. Drinks for the girls were 60 pesos. There were only 13 girls in, but there were probably less than 30 customers. So the ratio was not too bad. Table dances are 100 pesos with quite a bit of contact. Private dances are 200 pesos for 3 songs. I could not go back, but my buddy says that contact can range from groping to hand jobs and brief blowjobs, depending on the girl. He claims that some times FS can be had in the privados paying 400 pesos. He also said that almost all of the girls will arrange for visits to your hotel but that it will cost from 200 USD to 250 USD. He is on a first name basis with many of the girls and waiters, so I will accept his info at face value.

Girls were 6 ‘s 7’s with maybe two solid 8’s. Nothing really revolting nor nothing really outstanding. Not to shabby compared to some I have seen in TJ. Some lost their bottoms on the third song and one came out and danced without a bottom. Heavy contact allowed when tipping. All in all a pretty casual atmosphere. Far more Locals than gringos. Rocky Point vets may know Gaston Rochin, the owner of the Friendly Dolphin. He was there holding court and getting seriously fucked up.

To get to Las Dunas take Calle 13 toward Plaza Las Glorias Hotel. Pass the motel El Senorial and enter the second street to the left. Las Dunas is about 150 ft down on your left.

My amazement continued when My buddy suggested we go to Gua Guas and my chilanga agreed. I was not protesting. So off we went to Gua Guas. Gua Guas is seedier and much wilder. No cover. 30 peso beers. 40 peso mixed drinks, 100 peso table dances, 200 peso privados, 400 peso full nude privados. The tout was advertising 600 peso blowjobs. Once again I was unable to confirm any of this because I was heavily supervised. I was happy to just be there, I was not going to push my luck with my girl. My local buddy says that YMMV but that brief FS for the 400 peso and 600 peso privados is possible. I can vouch that 3 years ago, I had a girl briefly suck me and finish me off by hand in the booth for $20. So I am sure that it is still possible, especially at the higher price points. Claims that off site services are available negotiating directly with the girl are probably true. I have no current info, but 3 years ago I took a dancer visiting from Nogales back to my room for the night. I had to wait until about 4:00 am but she stayed with me until about noon the next day. Very nice GF experience for $150 US.

There were probably about 25 girls working but over 100 customers so the ratio was not as good. Mostly 6’s 7’s. A couple of 8’s and 9’s. Several years ago there was a little blonde American spinner that worked there. She used to dance bare foot. I was hoping to see her for old times sake. But she was not there. Anybody know if she is still around?

To get to Gua Guas from the Boulevard take calle 13 toward Plaza Las Glorias Hotel. Take the first left after the 4 way stop light. It is immediately on your left.

There are two newer titty bars that I did not go into. Tempatations is on Calle 13 on the right hand side of the street just before you reach the turn for Gua Guas. My source says it is very sleazy.

Mamacitas is on the main Boulevard in front of the Corona distributor. It has been open only two weeks and draws mostly a local crowd. I plan on visiting them next time, as it appears as if my chilanga enjoyed the entire experience.

A hotel recommendation. If you do not need to stay out on the beach, and do not want to pay the high room prices( 90-120 US) Try the new addition to Hotel Paraiso del Desierto. 44 dollars a night. Since Rocky Point is small, you are 10 minutes from anywhere. And you save 50 dollars that can be used on beer.

Restaurant recommendation: Mariscos Gama. Next to the Plaza Las Glorias Hotel. Rustic place. You can take in your own beers. 2 Ceviche tostadas, I Shrimp Cocktail. The house specialty of fish Deep cooked in the “ Disco” Serving for two, and One large lemonade. Total cost 180 pesos. The deep fried fish is absolutely fantastic cooked with head and all. Highly recommended. A local institution.

A most enjoyable report, amigo, even though I'm completely unfamiliar with that part of the world. I'm curious to know if your chilanga will have fond memories of your excursion in a little while, i.e. just before her period...

I have pulled girls out of that Paraiso Del Desierto. There are several bars like that across town. One word of caution, there are alot of gays and transvestites/transexuals in town. Some guy tried to make a pass at me and I punched him out of my room. Another time some guys lead us into Bandidos and we almost got into a brawl with a bunch of transtesticles. If you want to fuck, you may as well go to the Crystal Palace. Alot of the girls in the clubs will come to your hotel and alot of the taxis double as padrotes. I specifically remember taxista #12. Those strip clubs are all ripoffs with occassional exceptions. If the girls have come from Nogales then you know you have a winner.
