So recently, just before I left for this trip, a few acquaintances (ex-lurkers here) were telling me they went to CTG and found it only so-so (ugly chicas, oppressive heat, jaded gals, etc), nothing like what I described in my trip reports. Which got me to thinking, I’ve often found it extremely interesting how 2 guys can go on the same trip to the same destination and have an utterly differing perspective on their experiences.

It also reminded me of what one of my mentors early on told me – truth IS when two individuals can agree x happened … So, with that in mind, I thought I’d post a more “balanced” and contrarian perspective on my trip and let my good travel buddy Smitty confirm or not confirm what actually happened. After all, my previous solo trips were a figment of my wild imagination, right?

There is a classic scenario where two guys go into a party. At the end of the night, one walks out with nothing but a drunken stupor. The other walks out with a lady on each arm and a list of business contacts and job offers.

There is a certain art to making a social occasion into a good productive time. Some guys are excellent artists, while others, well. . .

In all these trip reports, I always take the words with a grain of salt and only half-believe what is told...However, the truth is always in the photos. Photos do not lie. You can see the quality of women and their facial expressions. You can tell those who are having a good time with the guy and those who are not.

Oftentimes guys will see the women in the pictures having a good time and will rush out on the next plane. They hunt down those same women thinking that they will have the same x-rated time. However, these guys sometimes find that the very same girls in the photos do not quite give the same service as they did with the photographer of the original photos.

Which brings me to my point. Its not the women that make a trip...its the man that makes the trip...

Fantastic Job Merlin! It doesn't matter the locale, Merlin pulls the hotties and has tons of fun! I can't wait until we hook-up again. I would love to go to Columbia but it's so damn far from me - maybe next year. However, I have been gathering some excellent new Jakarta intelligence for when come out this way again.

I’m assuming you’re going near Easter (CTG?), which is also a time I’ve visited. In CTG at least, there were still cute gals around during that time.

Ironeagle: you expressed my thoughts exactly about this interesting phenom. It certainly takes some proactive efforts and a good attitude to have some fun w/these gals. I don’t think it’s just puking money on the gals as some would say (although it may help) because I’ve seen lots of guys puking money and still have a bad time.

CTG is actually a very perfect fit for me in terms of my mongering style in the same way that AC and Cali are – i.e. hedging my bets with sure-fire-rock-my-world (“SFRMY”) appointments throughout the day plus hunting down new girls at the beach or through my various contacts. I usually set SFRMY appointments with 2 regular novias (semi-pro tried and true) in the AM and PM, then look for a new gal to session with in between.

BOGOTA:

I actually spent 3 days in Bogota to hook up with a novia who is now working there. I like Bogota, lots of great parks and malls to explore; the north Part of town is safe. For me, the best area in town for p4p is the Zona Rosa Area where you have 3 great discos, my favorite being Casanova bar. Casanova was rocking each night I visited, at least 50 girls and easily a dozen hotties I could do in a minute. It’s VERY pricey however, the multa or house fee is now 90K pesos and the gals are asking 150-200K on top of that. Consequently, I visited there just to party with the girls and did all the boinking with my gal friend.

I'm not the biggest fan of Cartagena, primarily because of the tourists and heat, but I really like Bogota - I don't think it gets the credit it deserves. There's nothing I like better than walking through the Zona Rosa in the late evening with a girl on my arm. Perfect climate. Add to that world-class restaurants, great accomodations, great clubs and, oh yeah - some fine women, and I'm surprised it's not more popular. Then again, it is popular: 8 million people live there.

The high altitude never affected me, but maybe that's because I keep myself in such great shape.

As far as prices, I think Bogota gets a lot more visitors with expense accounts and they can charge at a different level. Real nice city though.

Hal, the Plazas Las Americas Hotel is where I usually stay in Cali (Versailles area), there's some info about this hotel on the Cali thread on this site. I haven't been back to Cali in several months, so I don't have the latest. Its a great place for non-pros IMO, but not much to do. From Cali, it's easiest to fly to BOG, and MDE is a great city to visit as well.

Some of my buddies have been leaving messages wondering where I disappeared to, I thought I'd share some pics from what prompted this sudden "exit-stage-left" behavior. I actually found myself back in Bog and CTG, mostly to hang out with my new novia and relax after a horrendous marathon assignment at work.

I had a chance to sneak in a few here and there. In fact, it seems even though my new novia M is gorgeous and phenomenal in bed, I reaffirmed that I can't stay exclusive for too long to one gal. Oh, well. Great talent IMO as usual here and I had loads of fun.

Some brief observations this trip for those who frequent CTG.

Although I no longer pull from LDV, I went in to look around. One gal really pissed me off as they are starting off at 200K, which is funny as there are few customers around. The gals are hot, but seem older than the girls you can pull from the beach or streets.

Casa Rosies had the best quantity and a couple of cuties there now. Manila House had two hotties as well. International House had no talent but it's a fun place. Avoid Playclub as the gals there think their pussies are platinum coated.

Lots of gals on the beach and on the streets on the weekend, it's still fairly easy to hook up with a real beauty. About a 1/3 of the gals pictured are beach or girls I met on the beach.

I've been flying into BOG using Avianca, much more options to get to other cities. In fact, they have about six flights to CTG throughout the day. BOG is expensive, Casanova tried to pad my bill again and I had to do argue with the waiter. I'm going to avoid this place for the time being, I collected enough numbers to keep me busy in BOG.

I was really tempted to get to Prereria this trip, but decided against it as my galfriend there was busy with school. Avianca has 3 flights a day now on their new Fokker 100 planes. I'll have to do the trip next time.

The main allure of South America for myself would be a reduced amount of jet lag. Every time I go to asia, I get hit hard by the time difference. By the end of the trip, I am completely sick with a fever and gastro problems.

Im wondering what the average pricing would be for Columbia and Brazil? How much are the women, how much is the hotel/airfare?

S4f, for sure, any city in Colombia will yield some gems. So many cities to see still and so little time.

IE: Jetlag is a big factor for me as well. The flight is much easier but airfare is about the same IMO to SEA. I usually spend about $30 to $50U.S. for hotels, you can find more expensive or cheaper places. I'm averaging about $40-$60 per session for the girls I'm pulling, there is a huge price range, as cheap as $20 up to $150 for high priced call girls in some cities or takeout at a high end casa.

Taboojw, CTG and MDE are can't miss destinations. I've travelled with guys from dff't backgrounds and I'm no blonde, blue eyed rock star, most of the guys had fun and I always have fun in Colombia. CTG has more Blacks (some hot ones) than MDE, you'll likely get mistaken for a local initially but may get more attn once the gals find out your American ($$). Bottom line is, if you like to have fun, you'll do alright. There was a thread about this in the Colombia section a while back.

In CTG, I'd recommend you stay at one of the apartments for rent -- bigger, nicer and less hassles. Check out the section on this site for the rentals. I stayed at most hotels in CTG, and there are some nice ones, but apartments are more comfortable for me.

1k for 6 days should be enough, unless you live it up, and have 3 gals a day, go to the discos, and go drinking at night.

Those dates in CTG will put a serious crimp in your budget. Lodging will be about 3 times normal. I leave town during that time and rent my apartment for US$150 per day. Everyone in Colombia wants to spend Navidid on the beach. AND reserve early.

Taboojw, Tomtom is mostly correct, but you can normally book apts with Mery for a lot cheaper than three times the normal price, even in high season, as long as you book well in advance.
