Here it is, Finally! If you just want the facts about the town scan the report and read the bold print. At the end I will include all the information I found but did not use; odds and ends to make your trip easier. I also ask that if anyone finds more information elsewhere, please send me e-mail. Not sure how soon but I WILL return to Lima. I love Costa Rica but feel I have found a new home.

I hope this will be enough to persuade other guys to travel to Lima. It really does deserve more attention and you'll surely enjoy it. If you go, please don't stick to just the reported and confirmed places. Sacrifice some time and add to what little information there is. Lima is huge and there are no doubt many treasures yet to be discovered.

R/T Airfare Dulles (Washington DC) to Lima Peru $525.00 with tax. Left 8:30 PM short layover in Miami and arrived in Lima at 4:30 AM. Actually only 1 hour more than flying to San Jose, Costa Rica. United and Lan Chile. Did have some problems with Lan Chile. They changed my flight 3 times. 1st to the flight I originally wanted but was sold out, great for me. Changed it again, same day as I originally booked but an earlier departure time OK. One more time to the original flight and time I booked but had canceled the first time. Go figure!! Apparently United and Lan Chile doesn't have any sort of business agreement. Once I was in Miami I had to get my boarding pass printed at their counter. Same when I returned to Miami. BUT they did transfer my luggage from United flight to the Lan Chile flight. Figure that out. It did give me some anxiety as I waited forever in Lima for my luggage.

My recent travels have been limited to Costa Rica. That's the only fair comparison I have. A couple other boards had some discussion about the high level of service a blonde (Jennifer) from Panama gave. I agreed with them all. I'll use her service as a benchmark and give her a 7. FYI for those who are not familiar with her, many felt she gave the best or definitely among the best in SJ.
